Great video looni! I only reached 5:47 so far but I can't wait to see what other great positive things you have to say about us! In all seriousness though, we always have stuff to improve and we'll keep going at it! We hope you'll find our future content more akin to your tastes 💪
It's interesting that a lot of your critiques overlap with internal critiques we have on the game. It's good to know that we're close to the same page on things the server needs to improve (and things we want to improve in the future!)
i gotchu with the shout cameo i was aware of more people being paid recently on the CT side of things, but not to the scale that Salted informed me about literally yesterday. it's unfortunate but i won't be caught lacking next year
its so interesting to me just how OLD this server is, genuinely I played back when the server had just come out, i still have the ORIGINAL emeralds. Its insane
Great timing. I've just hit lvl 105 on my first character - Shaman acolyte. Took me roughly 110h. I've never bothered with the mob grind and I've hit "max" level through raw content alone. My favourite part was actually exploring caves and yes I've explored all of them and enjoyed every minute of it. Caves are actually brilliantly integrated into the game. You first got to experience them for the 1st time, and then they become part of the lootruns, which I suppose is that part of endgame that you spent most of the time doing. Tbf, I've done the majority of content already (77%) completion rn. Can't wait to experience the last raid and dungeon and move onto guild raids. Besides my take on caves, as a new player imo: Raids are goated, while dungeons are an unrewarding glitchy mess and I hope they just abandon these (same as GW2 did). Just focus on raids. Lastly - I haven't touched professions at all, nor do I intend to. Great game tho, highly recommend.
They need to rework professions entirely & make it a core path to progression. Would love to play a strict Ironman but still feel powerful & engaged with crafting and enchanting/forging or something. Need ability to make unique gear.
Imo they can achieve something like max (or near) level in profession tiers can create a soul bound untradable unique armor/weapon set that gives high power spike in progression
i find it crazy how I've never heard of this server yet LOVE playing with mods that basically add all these MMO systems into the game. Checking out the game now (:
Only halfway through and lots of insights here. As someone who hasn’t played Wynncraft in about 5 years, it’s interesting to see the changes to the systems and the world.
Once again, once I try to escape another addiction, looni's vid happens to appear at the right time to PULL ME BACK IN. YOU CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS LOONI!

Good video, I’ve been curious about MMO MC servers for a while. Instant like for mentioning OneShot and the impression it had on you. Love that game to death and it’s always good to hear someone talk about it
It’s always a good day when looni posts. I’m almost glad there’s a delay of a few months between vids, bc it always feels like a big deal. Some of the best content on TH-cam fs!
Love the Way you make these videos, creating a fun atmosphere and what sounds like genuine opinion. The thing you wish to change about the server is explained very well with the intent of making it better and not bringing the server down. Keep up the amazing work (PS remember me when you do become famous)
such a well made video! i always found myself wanting to get back into wynncraft, only to end up bored in like an hour. i didnt rlly have exact reasons why, but you put all of it into words well lol
Great video, the comparisons with other MMOs was interesting and I definitely feel like frequent item/tree nerfing can become discouraging or hard to keep up with
Hey the editing and writing of this video is incredibly good I just wanted to say that because I was really impressed honestly. And also, you're pretty funny
a wynncraft video that includes oneshot? my dream. this was such an enjoyable watch and didn't even think about doing anything else for the entire 27 minutes, looking forward to future videos!
Your writing and narration is improving by leaps and bounds dude, super well organized and your critiques were well stated. I feel like a lot of content creators in this community have a phobia of criticizing this game, it's refreshing to see people who are ready and willing to poke Wynncraft when it really needs it. The item system in Wynncraft is especially egregious (by code and design), and that's probably the biggest topic I've pondered for a really long time but I don't really personally have any real solutions for. Like, cmon. I don't think anyone's gonna disagree that being forced to use 3rd party websites to put together any half decent build for endgame that isn't morph is incredibly silly. Wynncraft's awesome, but damn it's got a lot of pretty heavy flaws that require extremely tricky solutions. Good vid, can't wait to see you next year when you next upload!
this was actually amazing back in the day. I remember playing this hours every day after middle school. that was 11 years ago o.0 hope its still good today
I've been comparing wynncraft to other mmos for a good time by now and I hoped that the team will try to make a push to somehow break into the mmo market. It's nice to see someone compare wynncraft, even if for a bit, to other mmos. Great video, absolutely loved it!
great video as always!! you got every single complaint I have and the editing was peak. loved making that 2 second on screen appearance lol and cant wait for more
This made me want to start playing Wynncraft again (maybe I wait on Fruma still since I'm technically in the camp of "endgame player" and haven't logged on for more than an hour in the past 2 years so I can give myself time to re-experience it fresh when a big update does drop) Real vid
I'd just like to point out the amount of work that went into this quality editing. you should do a tutorial one of these days because this is really good.🙏
I will be creating a video that goes over this timeline and describes my editing process, but it's gonna be private for the people in my discord + sent to anyone who asks about it :)
I joined Wynnceaft around when Gavel came out, and left around when Corkus was getting hard for me and I got bored of mob grinding. I was in middle school. Now that I'm in college, I think I'm going to hop back on for a bit.
I used to love Wynncraft, but I stopped playing for years after burning myself out. Back then, I had the idea to grind from level 50 to 80 so I could tackle all the quests at once. It was a huge mistake-by the time I reached level 80, I was so tired and drained that I lost all passion for the game. Now, with so many updates, I feel overwhelmed and unsure how to rekindle that love for it.
are you feeling overwhelmed from trying to jump back into the deep end? I recommend starting a new class for any major update, as it'll always feel better since they continually revamp and improve the early game at the same pace
I would like to see new raids where you can farm new exclusive gear, which you can possibly even upgrade or have to do in order to do the next one. Maybe three times, until you get to a final raid, which is hard even with maxed gear, but gives you pets or something. Achievements would improve the gaming experience. Do raid x times, have all classes at level x, have all horses, etc. Professions should be made more accessible and useful. Classes should be revised. It should be necessary (in the possible new raids) to have a healer with you, or even two. A paladin should also be able to draw aggro from bosses/mobs.
New mounts, pets, etc. that you could farm through dungeons, achievements, etc. would also be another factor to keep playing. I would also be in favor of offering more skins that you would have to buy with real money in the shop. The fans are creative and would definitely help with that. You can reward them with titles, achievements, or real money shop currency, for example.
Around march last year during the spring event (I think) I got into WynnCraft. Back in 2019 I played a decent bit but this time I played for an entire month straight. And I really enjoyed my time with it to the point that I bought the highest support tier just to give the devs money so they can continue to work on this amazing game. I haven’t played much since but I did hop on about two weeks ago and saw some of the changes from the august update and it definitely seems amazing.
I have played wynncraft from the beginning since i was like 16, i guess i have about 1000 or more hours played. Its honestly so good. The story and quests are all amazing. I dont know to much about the newer updates but damn wynncraft is a big part of my youth
i spent like 200 hours on wynncraft back in 2022 and just barely scratched the surface of what there was. one of my most fun and enjoyable minecraft and gaming experiences ever (i played completely f2p btw)
I played Wynncraft a few years ago (I think I quit around the time they first added the 110 lvl area), managed to get to lvl 80 or so and quit because of a huge difficulty spike that just didn't make me want to play any more. I knew they were still updating it but wow it's changed! I'm gonna play again! I remember really liking the professions and how the materials interact with each other, I tried making some soul point scrolls and made some decent money but not enough to warrant the insane amount of time it took to grind and I only got to lvl 40 in paper, fish, and scroll making (I think I'm not sure about the exact details) I do wish they changed that because I loved putting together different recipes and going out to find cool ingredients. I hope they changed or got rid of the difficulty spike around lvl 60-70 because if they did I know I'm gonna be playing this for a while! Guess I'll find out!
As a pr*fer myself, I hate pr*fessions and love pr*fs as they are the chillest thing I can do in the game that makes consistent money at a cost of about 200-400 hours per pr*f down the drain. "Recently," there was the Skyblock Isles trailer for gathering and it was absolutely fantastic! The fact that it encourages active grinding and allows for casual grinding is what I love about the system. Additionally, having a pr*f party system where if you have more people in the area you get more XP. Yet, I am a Wynncraft diehard so I have to at least mention that they have added the Maex resource mine and the voidstone sanctuary which somewhat shows an attempt to make the grind shorter by adding more effective ways of grinding it. Lastly, to show my bias, I did start pr*fing because I went 13k dry on chests before the lootrun update, so it was a last resort considering my luck was down the drain. Overall, good content and love Crossroads!
on god the gameplay's fun but it boils down into either aubrey smashing her head or kel kicking the ball for one morbillion damage. I was way more interested in the writing and characters
I think a good idea to improve longevity, make it so that there is some mixture of mob grinding for a rare drop, open world bosses, and a very good reward at the end (even if it's just cosmetic, something SUPER good) all tied into a questline bracketed with difficult to obtain items that ONLY drop when you have that specific part of the questline. THAT'S RIGHT.... I'M SUGGESTING THAT THEY ADD THAT SEXY AMINA WEAPON GRIND FROM FINAL FANTASY 14.
Yup, endgame is problem for me. Ive been playing on and off for over 8 years, and i always end up grinding away at some task once ive reached my goal. This server is near and dear to my heart, growing up with it, so i wish it the best with future improvement ❤
Based steam library (almost all of them are my favorite games :O), great music choices (mostly Omori), highly comprehensive and honest review and amazi.., i won't continue with this. I hope you reach the point you deserve in near future!
@@loonitick I definitely wasn't expecting seeing neon white and omori together lol, also you can check SIGNALIS, Crow Country and Celeste. Different genres and all of them are amazing top tier games, also bonus: Lorn's Lure is a very weird game like walking in the wynncraft map all alone :D. Enjoy!
Bro I used to play on this server so much when I was in middle school in like 2016 until I ran out of respawns in some random bumfuck area and lost all my items and never touched it again after that 😂😂this was so cool to see how much its evolved since great video 💯
I really hope wynncraft steps up their game or gets a good design team. To this day, it's still so quest focused that everything else is basically grinding, so anyone who finishes the quests or doesn't like them is in for a rough ride.
Probably my biggest issue mechanic is crafting It feels... kinda pointless? Why would i gather materials, level up pr*fesions, and try to figure out what's best to put into a weapon, when it's made obsolete by the fact i can find a better weapon in less time that isnt given that durability stat? Especially since the durability is so heavily dropped by adding materials Yeah i could sell them, but id rather just do combat at that point It's at most an in-between for when my current gear isnt cutting it
crafted weapons are definitely in a weird spot. more so now that Mythic baseline was reduced. very hard to have Weapon ingredients be good without having them be literally better than a Mythic. bad situation!! Can't go wrong with crafted consumables! other than like, having to make them in the first place (which i won't be doing)
Wynncraft is one of those games that i love watching but do not enjoy playing because i dont wanna learn a new mmorpg and the time i tried it the npcs alone don’t explain enough about the game
I wouldn't say it takes the same level of dedication as other MMOs like WoW or GW2. it's definitely well designed in regards to onboarding new players and there's 1/10th the amount of systems compared to something like MapleStory. It can be treated as an indie game honestly. I'd say give it a shot There's also a utility mod you can use that helps a lot. Just think of it like WoW add-ons 💀
All i wanted is the re-skinned effects you get with the hero rank (you need hero to change an existing class to a re-skinned), but as 1 dollar is worthing 6 on my country's currency, it's impossible for me to afford it...
professions do suck though- I wish you'd be able to manually speed gathering up either with a minigame offering MORE of an item- or alternatively (and like the way superior suggestion) integrating a cooparative aspect to gathering where multiple people can gather on the same material for an equal gathering output just way faster- and like WAYYY faster
you summed it up perfectly, finally someone that actually understands the game and how its played by endgame players instead of someone who is glazing the shit out of it while misscasting bashscream hero in a public showcase stream
Ive played wynncraft to its completion a couple years ago. Did all the quests, but didnt really touch the dungeons much. The multiplayer aspect wasnt really attractive enough to warrant engaging it for me. Proffessions were alright, didnt feel too grindy but i may be reminicing too hard. Ultimately i don't think i would play again but it was a fun time to be sure.
Wynncraft is what i hope Hypixel Skyblock could achieve once it's on 1.20+ I'm honestly amazed how different you can make the game with the new versions without even any mods
Isles 2.0! the server's in development but i think it's gonna cause quite the stir when it does eventually release -- the owners have invested a lot of money into it and their development pace is very fast compared to other projects. they got a real team behind it, so im very excited!
I personally would like to see a dungeon crawler/ rouglike activity in wynncraft, corrupted dungeons aren't cutting it as it is (maybe could be a forgery revamp)
man I love wynn and all that have to offer compared to other mmo servers. I would like to see more coop content, even if is hard to make something that everyone likes and enjoy without been toxic. Wynn has a lot of potential to create something like hypixel dungeons that are more enjoyable than pure grinding Also, they could take a look on hypixel slayers too, some sort of boss hunting mechanic and make a sort of monster hunter crafting system with that boss drops, been more focused on endgame armor/weapon crafting (excluding craftsman, the only crafting thing that people use are accessories)
Mob grinding is my favorite part of the game :( Looni *clearly* hasn't experienced trying to do Canary Calls 14x while it was buggy. Fr though quests are only for the story so once you've experienced it, the only reason is to 'completionist' other characters or specific unlocks. The issue with profs isn't that they are long necessarily, but that they are making it even longer (removing gathering xp id sources, increasing ehp required), and making it even less worth doing. They are actively making the system a worse experience over time. This is very clear if you look back at the changes to profs over the past few years. The amount of time it takes to get to the more useful levels goes up, and the benefit of those levels goes down.
i had pretty much the same epiphany about professions as they are now being a naked incentive to go buy bombs and champion ranks, after talking to a die-hard professions completionist. It does just feel like all of the horror stories I hear about mobile game whaling, though here it is at least easily avoided. It is nice to not have to worry about expansion packs in this game, but sometimes i feel like a lot of that is down to the game having to play by Mojang/Microsoft's EULA in regards to monetization. Imagine not being able to experience some of these quests just because you don't want to pay up. Also, seeing Realm of Light 3 specifically called out felt downright cathartic. I didn't find it that grating the first time I played it post-Headless Hunt revamp, but the second time around several years later it absolutely drags down the momentum of what probably should be the game's centerpiece in terms of lore. I wouldn't mind seeing it and the second quest condensed and adapted into one for the sake of pacing.
hey there, thanks for adding the clip sources in the description, but I saw a clip that wasn’t in the desc ,and you said to comment if you wanted to know so, what’s at 16:03?
i tried getting back into wynncraft and got overwhelmed by everything going on. not only that but whenever i tried to do stuff i realized that i quit because doing quests for 80 hours just isnt fun
i dont think it's doing quests for 80 hours that sucks per se, they just don't feel as rewarding as they should. some of the quests are definitely hit or miss though, and it adds up before you end up quitting
when i first played wynncraft many years ago, i quit because i barely saw any people in the world despite it being an MMO now with the ghosts feature it might be time to give it a try again
It’s sad really how lackluster forgery has been getting these days a few years back I got my first ever mythic from a forgery chest mind you before lootrun update where forgery was a method worth while unless you could do lootruns which would be stolen in every lobby… sad to see no changes in this nostalgia filled content
As someone who's main and favourite class archetype is archer boltslinger. Yes. Yes the game is possible with anything. You can just pop guardian angels and SPRINT through every dungeon.
It's small, but theres a very similar server called Faceland that my friends and I LOVE. It has so much custom stuff its insane; just sad that so few people play it. Real ones know
Id argue what makes Skyblock fun is the multiple grinds. Skyblock has essentially mastered making progress amazing ( i mean look at osrs its very similar. )
Yeah I made that point when talking about professions. The variety is great, but I wouldn't say they "mastered" progression. Some of it is a bit too slow for my taste, and that's with me considering the fundamental design and necessity of grind -- their perspective drags things out more than I'd personally set as a baseline. Progression with depth is golden, but when things are just long to be long, that's where things fall apart
Great video looni! I only reached 5:47 so far but I can't wait to see what other great positive things you have to say about us!

Overall, good content and love Crossroads!
fire vid... always nice to see omori gameplay slander in minecraft video essays
on god
the gameplay's fun but it boils down into either aubrey smashing her head or kel kicking the ball for one morbillion damage.
I hope you reach the point you deserve in near future!
i don't play enough games! ULTRAKLL NEXT
Enjoy!
@ played Celeste awhile ago. should definitely revisit now
Hunted stream when?
Maybe
Wow I playd this server over 10 years ago maybe... insane to see it still alive
16:08 That's one of the most funny jokes I've ever seen within a youtube video.
If Skyblock could adopt Wyncraft's incredible displays and models, it would be the ultimate game.
yearly Looni upload finally
This is the 3rd person I’ve seen Wynncraft content for outside of an ad by Grian and a tiny TH-camr
a solution for world bosses, make them last a few days or weekly then make it so that players can only get the rewards once or a few times
Bro I used to play on this server so much when I was in middle school in like 2016 until I ran out of respawns in some random bumfuck area and lost all my items and never touched it again after that 😂😂this was so cool to see how much its evolved since great video 💯
predictions for the video: mr gooni rambles about wynncraft and stuff for more than 8 and less than 600 minutes straight
edit: should have predicted mention of morph as he did it a total of 47 times in this video
I really hope wynncraft steps up their game or gets a good design team. To this day, it's still so quest focused that everything else is basically grinding, so anyone who finishes the quests or doesn't like them is in for a rough ride.
Probably my biggest issue mechanic is crafting
It feels... kinda pointless?
Why would i gather materials, level up pr*fesions, and try to figure out what's best to put into a weapon, when it's made obsolete by the fact i can find a better weapon in less time that isnt given that durability stat? Especially since the durability is so heavily dropped by adding materials
Yeah i could sell them, but id rather just do combat at that point
It's at most an in-between for when my current gear isnt cutting it
crafted weapons are definitely in a weird spot. more so now that Mythic baseline was reduced. very hard to have Weapon ingredients be good without having them be literally better than a Mythic. bad situation!!
I'd say give it a shot
There's also a utility mod you can use that helps a lot. Just think of it like WoW add-ons 💀
All i wanted is the re-skinned effects you get with the hero rank (you need hero to change an existing class to a re-skinned), but as 1 dollar is worthing 6 on my country's currency, it's impossible for me to afford it...
Havent played Wynncraft in like forever and seeing all of the cool content that's around now is making me want to start fresh...
. . .
wait hold on.
professions do suck though- I wish you'd be able to manually speed gathering up either with a minigame offering MORE of an item- or alternatively (and like the way superior suggestion) integrating a cooparative aspect to gathering where multiple people can gather on the same material for an equal gathering output just way faster- and like WAYYY faster
i cant watch this right now but i already know its a banger, i havent played wynn in over a year and i know this will be what gets me back into it lol
They also have EU servers now so if you're not in NA and internet was a problem for you, it won't be now
you summed it up perfectly, finally someone that actually understands the game and how its played by endgame players instead of someone who is glazing the shit out of it while misscasting bashscream hero in a public showcase stream
olinus spell cycle moment
Ive played wynncraft to its completion a couple years ago. Did all the quests, but didnt really touch the dungeons much. The multiplayer aspect wasnt really attractive enough to warrant engaging it for me.
Proffessions were alright, didnt feel too grindy but i may be reminicing too hard.
Ultimately i don't think i would play again but it was a fun time to be sure.
Wynncraft is what i hope Hypixel Skyblock could achieve once it's on 1.20+
I'm honestly amazed how different you can make the game with the new versions without even any mods
Another way detles could become the central hub is by moving the flute run hub area from cinfras
very good video, you mentioned many problems that we have all suffered from
one question, what kind of server is it at 14:14, it looks very good
Isles 2.0! the server's in development but i think it's gonna cause quite the stir when it does eventually release -- the owners have invested a lot of money into it and their development pace is very fast compared to other projects. they got a real team behind it, so im very excited!
90% of minecraft servers have ZERO excuse for being boring smps or pay to win slop
I personally would like to see a dungeon crawler/ rouglike activity in wynncraft, corrupted dungeons aren't cutting it as it is (maybe could be a forgery revamp)
thats what Lootrun Camps are supposed to be. Roguelite content
@@loonitick yean, but those are super fast paced and time sensitive
Great vid looni!
But uhh if I may, what builds you using?
😩
🙏
You can find the builds I would be using on my discord in the Wynn builds rekindled
OMORI MENTIONED (also great use of celeste and oneshot music)
Hopefully this video drives more people to try out Wynncraft one of the best MMO experiences I've had in all of gaming
man I love wynn and all that have to offer compared to other mmo servers. I would like to see more coop content, even if is hard to make something that everyone likes and enjoy without been toxic. Wynn has a lot of potential to create something like hypixel dungeons that are more enjoyable than pure grinding
Also, they could take a look on hypixel slayers too, some sort of boss hunting mechanic and make a sort of monster hunter crafting system with that boss drops, been more focused on endgame armor/weapon crafting (excluding craftsman, the only crafting thing that people use are accessories)
thank you loom tick for this awesome wynncraft review
I played this game wayyyyy back and it’s changed HOW MUCH?!
Ayo hype wtf!! Real excited for this one
Mob grinding is my favorite part of the game :(
Looni *clearly* hasn't experienced trying to do Canary Calls 14x while it was buggy.
I wouldn't mind seeing it and the second quest condensed and adapted into one for the sake of pacing.
hey there, thanks for adding the clip sources in the description, but I saw a clip that wasn’t in the desc ,and you said to comment if you wanted to know so, what’s at 16:03?
thats telos realms
Telos Realms, high level boss called Ophanim
after watching this i feel like coming back to wynn, but this time doing some more quests
14:50 yooo I was not expecting to hear sludgecrank, definite top 3 on prefer not to say
IMPULSE!, womp womp, I LOVE LOUD THINGS, the bossa nova song with the lady, quiet time interlude ~ so many good songs in that album
i tried getting back into wynncraft and got overwhelmed by everything going on. not only that but whenever i tried to do stuff i realized that i quit because doing quests for 80 hours just isnt fun
i dont think it's doing quests for 80 hours that sucks per se, they just don't feel as rewarding as they should. some of the quests are definitely hit or miss though, and it adds up before you end up quitting
when i first played wynncraft many years ago, i quit because i barely saw any people in the world despite it being an MMO
now with the ghosts feature it might be time to give it a try again
This is a certified must-watch🗣️
It’s sad really how lackluster forgery has been getting these days a few years back I got my first ever mythic from a forgery chest mind you before lootrun update where forgery was a method worth while unless you could do lootruns which would be stolen in every lobby… sad to see no changes in this nostalgia filled content
while watching the fan-made trailer, my 10 year old PC just said "no" with morse code
Real ones know
Faceguy is one of my favorite server owners and developers in the entire scene! Someday I'll make a video for the server...
@@loonitick Ive never seen faceland mentioned on youtube, this actually made my day lmao
Such a HQ video and only 27k subs, damn... keep it up man!
Sending this to my friends in the hope I can finally convince one
Wow this server has changed so much since I played in 2015
i just hope they add more support classes so there can actually be some party diversity (please let me be a bard or enchanter)
