It's been ages since I've seen these and it's weird to see all the changes from the original pilot episode. All the cast is different, except Anna and Selwyn. Her car, the house and even the agency. This was such an excellent show and I love Imogen Stubbs. Thanks from posting them Miss Daisy!!!
RIP Brian Glover, loved him in the famous “Gasman Episode” of Bottom, as Richie and Eddie’s angry neighbour who they stole gas of from, but he was also fantastic in this (as well as the PE teacher in “Kes”). Got many happy memories of this series, back when life was simple. Many thanks for uploading!. The theme tune always stays in my mind and although it’s a shame you had to fade it out, I totally understand why :).
With respect, life has never been simple. Human history is one long catalog of mentally unhealthy people bullying others, trying to control others (and often succeeding), hoarding wealth, and generally making life difficult for as many people as they can. I'm responding to your post bc our refusal to see life as it is just perpetuates these problems. Now, if you meant that *your* life was simpler (bc you were 18 or younger, still living at home, had few responsibilities) -- yes, I can understand that. But if you're hanging on to a fantasy of the 1990s or '80s or any other decade as having been better, then please don't: For one thing, it means that you're diverting some of the energy you could use to address the problems of today. For another, it means that you're not fully feeling your emotions (nostalgia is one of many hedges against doing that), and trying to ignore them always leads to problems (for the self, for the greater society). I write with good intentions, and I hope that comes through. Best wishes.
@@dw999 Yes it is pretty crummy, as a lot of TV series made back in the nineties were. She's an ok actress and quite pleasing on the eye, but her character in this series is very annoying to be honest.
I never heard about this series. I watched the pilot last week. Imogen is such a beautiful name. I see they didn't cast the other members of the private detective team in this. But the show is excellent anyway
Cool that Sister Sister is actually used in a different context in Ep. 5, "Requiem". Requiem was the only episode of Anna Lee that I am aware of that was broadcast in the States, around 1995 or 6 when I saw it, on the A&E cable network, I recorded it on a VHS tape which I still have but much of it was inadvertantly recorded over, so I am seriously thrilled that lovely Daisy Snow has uploaded the Anna Lee series!! Can't wait to watch them all!!!
+Frenchblue8 A+E broadcast them all, shortly after they were aired in the UK. I watched and taped them all too but of course all my VCR stuff has bought the farm :(
Vampirebear13 really.wow. Because as soon as I saw the Requiem episode I was checking on A&E daily for other Anna Lee episodes. I don't know how I could have missed them ALL!!
Ah well, it was 20 plus years ago. The true shame is how bad A+E programming has gotten but that's the way all US TV has become. I've always preferred UK TV. Before BBC America, I mostly watched PBS and A+E.
Vampirebear13 you and me both, yep that's just about all I watched it was the only place to get my murder and crime mysteries from the UK ! . I also loved the Encore Mystery Channel back around 2000 where they actually had old US and UK crime TV shows. Things like Burke's law that was before my time. Now it's all the same movies playing over and over
Imogen Stubbs is an ok actress and obviously nice on the eye, but I can understand why they decided to make only one series. Her character is also pretty annoying to be honest.
Ah, I see, the characters in Brierly's office were only played by more well-known actors for the Pilot - before they knew if the series would be picked up. At least they kept the best - SELWYN!!
Danny, in the time it took you to post that question, you cd've googled for an answer. PLEASE use your brain, bc otherwise it will turn to mush -- and mush-brained ppl elect crummy leaders, which is a big reason why the world continues to be a big mess. Tx.
Thanks for posting.
AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL LOVE THIS SERIES.
Thank you for posting this great series.
Thank you for downloading this series. I am a New Zealander, I love the older English shows and had never seen this series before so cheers 😎🖒💯✔

If i saw someone throw a cat like that i would throw that person the same way
Had a mad crush on Imogen Stubbs back then. Shame ITV didn't give the show a chance
With respect, it's a kinda crummy show -- cliche after cliche. And, its short tenure didn't have a negative effect on her career -- she has done well.

She is one of my favorite actresses
Hi Daisy,
I hope that you're well.
I watched this episode again yesterday and really enjoyed it.
Thanks for uploading it.
😂 who is Daisy 😮

I have a feeling that this was meant for an american audience as well as British......
Imogen Stubbs is just the personification of total class. Check out "Nanou (1986)" - I think her film debut

Damn, already missing Ken Stott. Sets looks altogether different from pilot too.
So disappointed that Ken stott wasn't in it anymore..

How old is this program ??
Does audio quality improve, or am I wasting my time here?
pity ken stot isn't playing in it.
Hey, don't sell short his replacement, the great Peter Wight.
Brilliant
Great just great ⭐️⭐️⭐️🥰🤗
Imogen Stubbs 💖💖💖💖💖💖
First class degree from Oxford she should have been in Morse!
I like the series very much. She dresses like a Meg Ryan American wantabe!
😢😮 this is rather yankeefied😂😱🥵💯😎....
IT'S ok, but wouldn't be sad 😭 if I hadn't of fell over it 😅😂
This series is 30 years old and looks it.
Omg! Isn’t the father Inspector Lewis from the Inspector Morris series? Idk, but it sure looks him..a bit heavier, but wow…
😢 say what NOW 😂🤣
No woke rubbish or frozen faces , ❤
What's with the sound 😢.
Nothing 😜, 😛 then in and out....
UPLOADER clearly doesn't CARE 😮😱🤔
Avoiding copyright music I assume

Enough to make you puke!!!!!
Shut the door on your way out then!!!!! Nobody was forcing you to watch it!
Was forced to sit through every episode of this brain dead shite by my eldest brother!!! Hate it to this day!!!!
Why do people like you who hate the source bother watching? Being negative takes so much more energy. Get over yourself!
@@kathleenclark5877exactly what an idiot even being on here to comment in the first place!
