Loved the video!! I totally felt the same way when I was a FA. My 1st year as a FA, my husband said I spent way too much money because every layover I was so excited! 😂 “Omg, it’s my 1st time here!” You need something else to keep you busy with this job. I have less than 1,000 subscribers and even I was known around B6 as a “TH-camr.” 😂I took a break to focus on flight school and scaled down on social media as well. However, I do miss sharing aspects of my life and posting on TH-cam.
I think your video has inspired me to post a video! 💕
    Keep being you!🫶🏼

Aww Melanie :) thank you. this makes me smile HAHA yes i'm like I HAVE to buy stuff I have to go out must must must, and although i've stayed exploring, the first round layovers definitely hit different! Ahhh I'd love to see a video on your new life. You've come so far - an inspiration to all, truly. Congratulations! Thank you for your support always ❤️ no pressure on a new vid, but i'd surely love it!!

Haha! The galley queen! FC galley was a hard position, especially if the purser was hard to work with. It was a lot of work, and things happened fast. There were no cell phones then so I remember working long days, then wandering around on long walks to (hopefully!) find something to eat. The internet wasn’t a thing yet either so looking on Google maps wasn’t an option. The huge phone books weren’t much help, unless you knew what you were looking for. When flying domestic, getting off the plane between flights wasn’t an option. Grab and go food was rare in airports then. It was mostly expensive sit down restaurants, though you’d sometimes see hotdog stands, or nacho carts. If you worked the galley, you were too busy anyway taking inventory of meal setups, entrees, and whatever else was needed for service. (the catering truck usually showed up just in time for boarding) On shorter flights, we’d often have to start cooking meals while on the ground, so that we could start service right away when airborne. Things have changed a lot. Are you based in AUS now? Or commuting?

I cannot imagine layovers without maps omg I never even thought of that. It’s also so crazy to think airports have just evolved so much they’re like food courts and malls with planes 😅but yeah I’ve been trying to pack food more now that it’s much easier to do so having my own place. It’s so cool to hear of this from you!! Thank you for sharing with me😊. I’m commuting to NYC !!

Hi Malick! I always love your content & videos. i understand what you mean. You’ve gotta do what’s best for you & what’s best for your mental health! I’m so glad you removed yourself from your toxic roommate situation in LA! I’ve followed your videos for awhile now but I think this is my first comment to you directly! Don’t worry because I just know you’ll figure out a healthy balance of all the things you want to do & accomplish that will make you happy & fulfilled. And don’t worry about any rude or negative comments people may say. Those people just don’t matter. I can’t wait until your next video. Until then, take care & BE HAPPY, my guy!

Douglas! Hellooooo :) thank you for taking the time to say hi. it means a lot that you watched and complimented my content. I'm glad I chose my peace like a random person on reddit recommended haha. This means so much - I think I'm closer than ever to that balance. So so key. And you're right - this life is about choosing (and supporting and loving, ect) the people who choose, support and love you! it just expands from there, and the others just don't matter. Thank you for your kindness. See you in the next videeo!

Wow!! I’m currently in SLC taking care of a legal situation from when I lived here. I wanted to be a Flight Attendant but my life didn’t turn out that way. I admire you so much and the world needs more people like you. I’ve always had respect for flight attendants. But you are right, they need an outlet beyond the job. Glad you are settled in Austin 😊

Hey Malick thank you for everything I do want to say that you are number 1 take care of yourself and if that means break time then you should do that there is nothing wrong with that you always have to put yourself first. The best thing is keep surrounding yourself with good energy and positive vibes. You know every time you post something it always comes when I need it. I could be having a down day or just not feeling it and then you post its like yessss the good energy is here. I will tell you I find that some days you just need to have ME time where you don't talk to anyone or do anything. And like you said you just need that moment of peace. I have been trying to exercise 3 times a week at least just so I can stay active plus I sit at work all day. I hope you have a great rest of the evening including work and food most important.

Glad to hear you're staying active, i'm on that grind too, we sit a lot in the skies as well. Thank you Jay 😊 you’re so kind. I’m grateful that I can provide that guidance. It would be a dream to fly with you - one day I’m sure! And thank you…you’re right it’s important to focus on those that support and uplift you not the ones that don’t. As for ms, not right now but maybe one day. Safe flying!
