Today is the first day the new chime is rolled out on all CGL trains! Previously we heard this chime on 351/352 back in early October, now these are the first KHI sets to have the chime!
SGT2581 Announcement: With LTA announcing the retirement of the First, Second and Third Generation Trains in Singapore, (Kawasaki Heavy Industries Contract 151, Siemens Aktiengesellschaft C651 and Kawasaki Nippon Sharyo C751B), both of us will be filming more of these trains on both NSL and EWL, to commemorate the great service that these trains have provided.

Whats the point of putting these new chimes on the Old trains when they are gonna retire next year or 2025

All CGL trains, so far only heard on KHI and 351/352. Maybe if there’s a non KHI on CGL next time we’ll see
