351/352 had its Next Station Chime updated. It really gives a Japan Train Vibes. This train was running on T741, which is an extra slot for CGL that evening. It only did 1 trip, TNM ‐ CGA - TNM and it was withdrawn back to CHD.
This train left CHD at around 1625hrs and was withdrawn at 1730hrs sharp. Really was a great experience hearing the "Trial Updated Chime"
Just a side note: This was NOT edited into the video. The train had this chime itself.

The Kintetsu Railway in Central-East Japan is the largest private network of that country, and undoubtedly has many train models that tower above ours, some of them having motors that sound like our non-KSFs. One of their trains is the 1026 Series, which uses Hitachi GTO-VVVF motors since it began running, which sound a lot like the C751B Fuji Electric IGBT motors, also having a unique strong motor thrash roar which is not as loud as ours, though the vibration can be felt significantly from the car floor, and those trains have a slower acceleration, hence the rather low pitched and draggy sounds. Another of those trains is the 22000 Series Limited Express trains which use Mitsubishi GTO motors (A bit different from the type used on the C151 which is a rare kind of "Chopper" Gate Turn-off traction system), which also sound a bit like the C751B except the running sound is deeper, draggier and lower pitched, and likewise the vibration is stronger
351/352 just a received a new Next Station chime beta.
All other trains still have old next station chime.
I love the new chime.

I like the unique chimes of each metro station in Tokyo and i sometimes wonder how sg could implement something similar. Wasnt expecting something that mimics it but hey it's still something
yea same, only if smrt could do something similar...
finding suitable melodies for our stations wld be a challenge though
@@sbs2828si think sg can use some melodies like fur elise or some classical songs like how jr uses these melodies on platform 3, 4, 5 and 6 at iwaki station
There is still a few problems. Uk how jr east uses these On Off buttons to play the melody, if singapore wants to be like that, i think they need to have a driver and conductor instead of the current oneman operation.

I think its just a trial, like when they did some trial for door closing announcments in 2012 on the C151. tbh i still prefer the old chime coz we are used to it and it gives me childhood memories since 2008

I personally do not think this is new chime, imo it could be a glitch. The C751B was made in Japan so it mightve got that chime from factory settings?
No its not a glitch. It was just a short trial with the chime

@@GTOChoppaA factory setting chime does exists but it is not what you think. Search for "old chime" that are more than 10 years old and you should find them.
