Zepp Haneda was my 4th Band-Maid Okyuji in Japan, I don't mind cause me and my wife love visiting Japan. I hope they come to Europe soon, then I will be able to see them more often.

Hi Uncle Yoshi. My number was 1408 and it was almost a full house when I got in. I came in the same door as you and saw there was space close to the rear rail to the right of the mixer desk. From experience I have found that the sound is usually best close to the mixer desk. I'm not very tall but I managed to get a good view of everyone except MISA. From where you shot the pic, I'm 10 meter to the left of you close to the rear rail. I hope to be able to meet you sometime at a Band-Maid okyuji, greetings from Norway 🙂I forgot to say, Saiki was awesome all night, they all were. I have to say it again, what a voice Saiki has WOW
Ahhh, so We were pretty close towards the back. And yes, mixer board area is best sound in most venues. That's what I had for Namba Hatch last year. Saiki was amazing! We must see Band-Maid again!

"Manners" was actually one of the songs on the set list when we were at HoB Anaheim. I really love the acoustic rendering from the Christmas okyu-ji. 😊❤🎅

Hi Uncle Yoshi! That sucks about your standing spot. As someone who isn't the tallest person out there, I feel your pain. The setlist here was a total wow. I'm partial to the more face melting, and proggy mind-bending qualities of there more recent material as opposed to the more sing along nature of their earlier stuff. There are a few exceptions to that, but generally speaking. So this setlist would have been it for me. The only one of my "bucket list" songs that wasn't here was Different. The theme on this night seemed to be the material from 2021 and after, Different was just before that. I think that it would have fit right in this setlist though. I like to check out setlist after their shows to see what they played and how it changed from the night, or okyu-ji before. When I saw what they played here, I knew that this was the okyu-ji that I would have rather seen more than any other in 2024. I've only seen the maids once so far, but I feel that I really lucked out in that aspect because the okyu-ji that I was at had the best setlist of any night on their 2023 US tour in my opinion. Check out May 19, 2023 in Atlanta and look at what a treat the maids gave us that night. Also, when I heard Peter on MNN talking about what Saiki said to him, I have to admit that I got a bit salty about it. I got in a conversation with CLANG-MAID about it who was telling me that I was overreacting. CLANG-MAID is right that I was overreacting, but I'm still not sure how I would have taken it. I don't make fun of people's accents because I think that it's an ignorant and arrogant thing to do generally speaking. However, that might have been a dig specifically at Peter and Peter only. By his own admission he likes to yell some dumb s*** sometimes during the okyu-ji (perhaps more than he admits) so he was probably already on Saiki's nerves. I don't know, I'm just speculating. I do hate being mocked like that, so I feel Peter's pain even so. Thanks for the review, I feel that I got a good idea of the vibe on the night. It was cool seeing a longer form video from you too. Venues with flat floors are a drag; if you're short its very likely you won't be able to see, and if you're tall you know you're blocking someone's view. A slope or seats are better, or a balcony like you say. Thanks for the show report!

Then I went to the anniversary event organized by Geki Rock in Shibuya on 5/12, mainly wanting to see Unlucky Morpheus, but I also saw MAZE, Broken by the Scream, Deviloof, and others. Was that the show you mentioned you were going to see?
