      Your gold is worthless without massive investment in rare earth separations facilities and global investment. You should be grateful people are willing to give Uganda such a large commission if production starts for doing nothing except owning land

    The people who lives on the land, should get; ROYALTIES, from the resources; not just a "HOUSE", on new land; and I hope that LAWYERS, in UGANDA, are seeking out these people to represent them; I'm sure that most of them aren't too knowledgeable about these types of settlements.

      The company is paying royalties to Uganda, in addition to the infrastructure being built. Honestly it's a win-win and partnering with the west on these projects will eventually bring you up to the first world just like Australia.

    Please let the resources be processed in Uganda. Stop exporting our resources.

      @@nassernathan Now you have the opportunity to have the capacity (learn from foreign companies,transfer of knowledge)that is needed to process the raw materials and could also learn from Botswana.

      You don’t have the capability along with almost every country in the world except China, Australia and Malaysia. Don’t be greedy

    If you have rare minerals then what's wrong with paying China with it for new needed infrastructure for the country? Isn't that win-win?

    • @idy1172

      Yeah that’s what they intend to do, but with oil instead of rare metals

  • @cutthebullshi

    Here is the problem, why is it that whenever we find minerals in uganda, its always a white person who heads the exploration of those minerals? Why don’t we have ugandan CEOs and ugandan companies leading the operation?

    • @bun5320
      @bun5320 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because exploration is extremely expensive and you don’t have the people with the money, knowledge or interest to do so.

    • @Bobtubeau
      @Bobtubeau ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's a good question. Perhaps it's because there isn't anyone in Uganda with the capital or knowledge to progress such projects.
