Be careful when cutting the eponychium as it can lead to getting infections! If a client asks for it to be cut make sure to warn/educate them. Cutting it may also be illegal depending on your state. If anyone doesn't know the difference between the eponychium and the cuticle, please teach yourself before attempting cuticle care! Respectfully, an almost graduated nail tech student
i didn't do the cutting but used the ball bit maybe on too high speed or st, but it cut my skin while i just tried to get the dry dangling parts away :( my skin is very soft & sensitive though so maybe that's also why - even in salons my hands would almost always bleed
You don't have to cut it if you don't want to, your manicure will be fine with just pushed back fold and removed cuticle (the skin that gets cut in the vid is *not* cuticle)
I’m from Moscow and I sincerely don’t understand why everyone is talking about infection. LITERALLY ALL the girls I know (mom, friends, grandmother, classmates, EVERYONE) get this manicure every month. Never in my life have I heard or seen any infections from this. The master disinfects EVERYTHING in several stages using special equipment. How can you get a beautiful, neat manicure without removing cuticles? in Russia it is considered literally terrible and poor-quality work if your cuticles were not removed.
your cuticles and eponychium are two different things. you’re mistaking the cuticle for the eponychium if you remove the eponychium it can be hazardous and can cause infection to the nail. removing cuticles are fine. please educate yourself before talking on this

No, you don’t have to cut it
@@sandraramirez2559no you don't have to & a lot of laws suggests that you shouldn't cut it at all. People get infections from cutting live skin.

Я чёт тоже не пойму, каких инфекций они так боятся. Если кутикула удалена аккуратно, без порезов кожи, с чего бы ей воспаляться?
