Outstanding video, absolutely outstanding, I have never been one to use a grid to blow up images. I’ve always went by scribble shading a.k.a. shapes. This concept is brilliant. I have a gig for elementary school going to use this newly learned technique. Thank you friend.

Wow, I’m always thinking how to transfer drawing on the wall, thank you for sharing this technique!
Awesome tip - going to start my first mural this weekend....I use procreate as well...love it! Thank you!
What a fabulously creative way to get proportions right! I'll definitely try this out on my next big painting commission! Thank you for making such a great video and sharing your technique!❤
Thanks for watching 😁
That was so clear and easy to follow. Thanks so much for sharing 🤗. Also, BEAUTIFUL mural!!!
This is awesome, cant wait to try this out lmao ty!
You did a great job working thru each step and explaining the system. Plus I love to paint frogs.
Glad you like it 🙏

My artistic skill is limited to a mean game of pictionary but this video was interesting.
You're work is amazing bro,
love seeing it.
Haha, thanks man!
I use the same method in my mural project too~~
Damn that was beautiful
Now I get it, thanks
No worries!
Cheers Lukas bro, old dog learning new things
Thanks for watching man :)
Sir, how much price per square feet on wall painting like this painting?
Thank you ❤
No worries, thanks for watching
Can any other program be used other than Procreate?
@@verondajones9221 any app where you can overlay one image on another will do. There’s a huge amount of them these days
Even with 94s the uv rays are gonna eat through it over the years and youre gonna see all that scribble under neath. The same thing ca be done using diferent colored single dots. But as long as people enjoy it for a while i suppose thats all good
This mural was painted under cover, UV deterioration isn’t a concern. A lighter colour is suggested but darker was used in this instance due to the roofing and making the video easy to follow. Thanks for your input
Thank you so much,,,,,
Great, thank you 🙏
Thanks for watching 🙏
What iPad do you use?
Thank you
@@blitzybrassett in this vid was a first gen pro but I’ve since upgraded to the 3rd gen pro 12.9 inch. Any new ipad would work great for what you need, procreate doesn’t take much to run
Could i use a giant grid of vertical and horizontal lines,or wouldnt it be as effective with wavy curvy lines n shapes?
Either can work but when working on a larger scale it can get confusing say if you're not sure if you're at the 13th or 16th vertical or horizontal line (just an example) with the letters it's much more simple to notice a B is a B etc. Just makes for a more streamlined process and as it all gets painted over there's not much relevancy as to what you use
You are so very skilled. Are you using specialized nozzles on your spray cans? Thanks for the great video. Beautiful work.
I have a video showing my favourite caps, there's a lot to mention over a comment so feel free to check it out if you're interested
Awesome info mate.. what was the program you used to import & sketch on the tablet? I'll need to learn this method
Procreate, it’s a one time purchase on the App Store and very easy to use
at night could you use a portable projector?
@@gazcrx yep for sure
dope mam
Thanks dude!
I don't get it must be dyslexic, could a grid system work also?
It’s the same idea as grid system but spraying a large grid on a big wall is cumbersome so they use random symbols instead. The random symbols are photographed and overlayed onto the photo on his iPad
Grid systems require a bit more planning up front for example: Every 1cm square on your sketch equals 1.5m. With the doodle grid method you bypass that and have the ability to blow up to any size on any surface in the moment.
What is the app's name?
Cool design, thank you for sharing!
Pro create but you could use photoshop or many free overlay apps downloadable on mobile
Why did you need to first do the green squiggles? 🤔
To help do the outline accurately since he's taking a small frog drawing and making it a big painting.
bro thats some smart shit
TY TY TY
Happy painting ;)
what ipad or tablet type series what u use ? gaffer ?
This is just a ipad pro first edition. Any tablet thats capable with procreate can work
Have u done a mural in Caboolture
Yep that’s where I’m from originally
Which kind of App do you use
Procreate
Thanks, but what is the advantage of this technique over a traditional grid?
The doodle grid can be scaled at any size and show more reference points for perspective as each letter of squiggle has multiple points spanned over the wall not only does it give a more precise point of reference but it requires no maths with grids and ease to on the spot with no need for prior work
For this reason majority of mural artists especially those around me in Australia have completely abandoned the grid technique atleast for a perspective that needs to be 100% on point
@@Kaspersart Respect, Thank you for sharing.👊🏽🇲🇽
I always thought you make this with a projector. 😅
Yeah can be easier but when you don’t have a location with power or that doesn’t allow for a early/start finish, distance from wall and many other factors this technique is great
What the name of application
Procreate
Name of this application please
Procreate
Why all the shapes
Self explanatory through the process man
😂
That is how some mural painters do it, they draw random stuff, then take the picture of it, and transfer the outline of the thing they wanna draw over it. Finally they draw it on the wall
alternatively , you could ditch the ipad and try free handing it like us old timers had to do. lol .., love ya luke.
@@graffitifxnewcastle2954 haha every piece is different my man, sometimes shit just needs to be perfect. Freehand is more fun no doubt
wear a mask bro!
ok, just seen you wear one ahah
dope mural tho!
