NY FAT CAP CHALLENGE | Experimental Spray Techniques At My Art Studio On My Street Art Wall In Melbs
มุมมอง 21514 วันที่ผ่านมา
Painting a monster piece on my street art wall out the back of my studio in Melbourne with only NY Fats for sketch, fill and outline. Here you'll get a good idea of the thin/thick line work you can get with these caps! These days I'm mostly on the murals but it's nice to do a bit of a callback to the more graffiti / street art based processes. What do you want to see next? Follow me here: 👉 WEB...

Welcome to my art studio! Today I'm painting a large scale 2m x 2m loose canvas to be stretched stretched up for a client themed around the 2000 olympic games in Sydney Australia. I know 100% what you mean with that line inconsistency with skinny caps and look and now apparently kobra. I’d be willing to bet kobra and loop are made in the same factory. Last I used both they smelled exactly the same. This is also used to be true for flame and ironlak until recently.. ironlak went back to the Chinese formula which is now the same as ACME/art primo since the cans/valve are identical and so is the smell. Lol TLDR: kobra is loop and ironlak is acme 🤣 cheers man good vids!
*with skinny caps and LOOP**
@@RailwayTroubadour yeah man I was having this convo with a friend of mine the other day and we had the same thought with the factory distribution. Might be their attempt at making a low pressure paint to tap into that market
This is awesome! Thanks so much for making these and not being a gatekeeper. I've seem to come across other artists that don't really want to show you or they're like "figure it out." Its just nice to even watch some basics and go from there. Thanks again!!
No worries man no one really helped me on my way up either, I thought I'd change it up. Have fun painting.

Yo! You remember a while back coming to Thailand and painting an awesome mural for a small home school called Growing Minds in Phuket?
@@doddibladez Absolutely! Did we meet each other along the way?
@@Kaspersart yeah, I drove you to the hardware store to pick up some paint. You did a mural for us at no cost. All we had to do was buy the paint. So cool of you to do. And you taught the kids how to draw their names in graffiti. I’m still so grateful for that. The mural said “Learning Happens Naturally”.
@@doddibladez ohh that’s so awesome mate what’s the chances you find me on here hey! I miss my time in Thailand, thanks for a great experience.
@@Kaspersart it’s crazy how I stumbled upon you on TH-cam. I was just randomly looking up videos about caps for spray paint, and yours popped up. I watched the whole video and still even realize it was you until I subscribed and looked at links to your other socials and then it clicked… Kasper… oh yeah!!! Hahaha anyways, if you ever come back to Phuket be sure to let me know. We’ve since moved from that other place and they painted over the mural, unfortunately. But there’s a huge blank wall/canvas at our new place that is in serious need of some paint. Would be so cool to have you throw something up. Thanks again for kindness. I’m sure my student will remember that forever.🙏🙏🙏
@@doddibladez I've stumbled on to this channel and am enjoying learning new techniques and loving the positive vibes... I'm based in Phuket and after reading some msgs thought I'm gonna swing by and check that mural out for inspiration. Shame it's now gone! There's a lot of quite good wall art in many places... reminds me a little of Shoreditch in London. Have an awesome day guys!
You are so very skilled. Are you using specialized nozzles on your spray cans? Thanks for the great video. Beautiful work.
Beautiful work!

I really love your work! know it's not part of your style, but I really like it _before_ most of the outlining. Definitely use the black, just not so much actually outlining. That's just me, though. I'm getting ready to do a mural on my _garage door_ (which I hope won't annoy my neighbors (too much)), so wish me luck!

Sick piece! Can i ask some ?'s before this blows all the way up? How long have you been using spray paint as a medium? Did you use other media before landing in this groove? But the thing I am most dying to know is "What kind of paint cans are those?" Or, maybe, how tf do you have such control of your fine lines? Are you using a tip or something? Like I can get right up on it. Quick confident stroke and all. It never occurred to wonder if I was using the same tools! I've spent, literally, thousands of dollars at Wal-Mart buying spray paint. Am. I missing something super obvious?
