    Just started trying comfrey for pain relief for an ankle that had a complicated break 5 years ago. I am also growing comfrey and rosemary, so will be making my own very soon. Thanks for your video, much appreciated.

    So the fresh rosemary wouldn't accelerate the oil from spoilage? Was it wilted for a few day's first❓ Love the dog bowl usage, they are just a dollar twenty five, also love you afcan on the back of the couch💓🎃

    • @CHwT

      Thank You. I use dehydrated rosemary when making this salve. Never fresh. That is how to keep it from not spoiling or contaminating. The afghan, I made it myself! So happy you like it. ❤

    I’ve been growing comfrey for the garden and compost. Was wondering how adding castor oil would help? Ratios?

    • @CHwT

      You can definitely use castor oil! The benefits are absolutely wonderful! Just use it in place of the olive oil and the ratios would still be the same.

    • @CHwT

      Yes, the cayenne pepper turns it into a warming type salve that is great! I do this with my dandelion salve and it is a staple in my medicine cabinet! ❤

      @@CHwT I’m just getting into this stuff. My wife was a pharmacy tech years ago and my best friend’s wife is a retired pharmacist and we’ve all tried to move away from the Big Pharma meds. I found castor oil to be an excellent pain reliever when rubbed on my lower back for kidney stones. I also have cut my BP medication in half by drinking stinging nettle tea. Thank you so much!

    • @CHwT

      It will still be good. Not sure how long you let it infuse for. The longer it sits in the oil, the darker it will become.

    Do you put fresh or dried rosemary?

    • @CHwT

      Always use dried rosemary. If you put anything fresh into the oil, the moisture from it can cause mold in the oil when infusing and spoil it. God Bless ❤

    • @CHwT

      I do not think it would work in this salve to make hair grow. I have been hearing about Rosemary Water that you make and is supposed to help with hair growth. I am looking into this further and may do a video on this in the near future. God Bless ❤

      @CHwT I'm using your recipes, and i love them, but honestly, the oil you used had nothing to do with olive. It didn't even stand close to olive oil. Please. This is a see-through liquid. Areal olive oil is so dark (greeny yellow) an smelly you can smell it from afar.

    • @CHwT

      @@lechini4827 Glad you are enjoying the recipes! As for the oil, that it correct! But TRUE olive oil is also extremely expensive and I have learned over the years to focus on the least expensive way of doing these things so that everyone may be able to afford it. Naturally, Olive oil is also not the only carrier oil you can use, there are many to choose from. I just happened to have this oil on hand when I did my salve videos and used it. I am all about using what you have and what you can afford. ❤

    Would it be ok to use freeze-dried comfrey?

    • @CHwT

      If anyone uses freeze-dried comfrey, I have never actually heard of it. I am not really sure if it would work or not. You can always do a small test by infusing some in a small container with the carrier oil and see what happens after 4 weeks. If all looks well, continue making the salve from it, but if you see mold on the comfrey or in the oil, do not use it. Please keep us posted if you decide to try this. Good luck! ❤
