If you think you are going to listen to this to fall asleep too then you’re so wrong. It’s such an instant attention grabbing story you’re on the edge of your seat instantly! Brilliant, just brilliant!
Honestly the author and narrator are both really great. This new book and series are so much better than tv imo. Im 39 and feel that this series lets me take my imagination so close to nowaday events. What a great listen thanks scott for writing and allowing us to listen with out a paywall. I will be letting my friends and family know about the series
Man I was so excited when I seen this new download and hit play before I could figure out that it's just a part that I have heard about a thousand times lol. For those that haven't heard the America falls series then I would start from the first to the last one so far. I can't wait until the next series because I can't afford the kindle or anything else I'm unemployed and I'm not getting by myself to good but Scott deserve all the money he can get because this is the best book I have listened to so far and believe me I listen to hours upon hours of books a week so enjoy everybody.
Me too! I decided to re-listen anyway. I'm disabled and can't afford anything much. It's an awesome series. I agree with you that Scott is a fantastic author. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is a GREAT NARRATOR…I listen to several books a week and sometimes free listens aren’t as well done but this is AMAZING -very well done. This is the 2 one I’m listening to and have now subbed

@@ScottMedburyAuthor YOU need to get a manager to represent the America Falls series, though not for a movie, but for a series. The manager will have connections and know who to contact. Please try. Every good series that gets a lot of viewers has started off as a book, an idea, anything. Take a chance.
I’m glad this author knows how guns and bullets work, too often we see in books and movies people do dramatic spins and have dramatic fits of death from being shot, it’s not like that at all, you just drop, and sometimes your body doesn’t realize you’ve been shot until a couple seconds after. Like the guy with the knife. Atleast the author didn’t make every one of them have a dramatic death speech, dropping to their knees lmao. The scary reality’s that it’s very quick
Depends on where you get hit and worth what. Take it from a hunter. I've seen deer just drop. Seen deer try to do back flips 😂 well thats what it looked like. I've seen them fall stumble, get back up run fall. All from the same bullet placement.
I see overwhelmingly positive comments and wanted to add my own. This is simply a gripping audiobook and I am hooked. I am so thankful these are on here for free. I finished Hell Week earlier and I cant wait to delve into the rest of the series. Thank you Scott Medbury! Much love from a recent subscriber!

I loved this series the first time around, and I know I’m going to enjoy it again! This was the series that made me fall in love with audiobooks after I lost my site. Thank you for the great stories! 18:38

So far just finished part 2 of this and not only does it help my day but I’m really into it, first ever audio book! Thank you, subbed!
I love this series so much. I started on book seven first accidentally, but that made me want to listen to it even more. Now I’m finished with book 1 and seven and I want to listen to more. I’m buying the books and advertising to my friends as soon as I can afford to buy the whole series. I listen to these books while working on stuff and it’s very entertaining.
Great content really i feel betrayed before discovering this channel and this quality, i lost alot of time on this platform already before discovering this channel , now i enjoy every second with you content. All the best wish you success.
I’m willing to take that as a bit of good old-fashioned dramatic irony. But, in the comments below (to book 1 & 2) we have so much unintended irony: like complaints about girl characters not doing what boy characters tell them; and a stream of complaints about “woke” that seem to refer to the narrator’s objection to homicidal racism, kneejerk schoolboy homophobia and 19th century subjection of females, including child concubines.
THIS HAS BEEN AMAZING. I finished hell week and 3/4 way into this.. oh my.. its hard to pause it to sleep! This has me on the edge of the seat every turn 😅 Thank you!!
First book was good. Cant wait to see whats going to happen. I love that authors are doing this now. Derak slaton is another that posts his books to youtube and its great. Thanks

It is this short period of history that has been unusual for extended childhood. My dad was already a regular whisky drinker by age 11-12. He had tuberculosis, and it was all they could give him to help him sleep. When he went to hospital, everyone thought he was going there to die like his friends. (Nobody expects the Canadian doctors!) My ma started full time work at 13. After my dad got out of hospital, he did a year of school and started full time work at the relatively mature age of 14. My best friend at primary school was mercilessly roasted for crying at Charlotte’s Web. We were seven or eight. He “had no dad”. Every day after school he did the shopping on the way home, then cooking and housework. Someone came in twice a day to get his mother in and out of bed, bathe & dress her. She could barely use her hands. I found out later in life that his dad had left after she became dependent on a wheelchair. There are millions of “unpaid carer” kids like this still. I had a friend who went to be a “boy soldier” as they were called in Britain, at 15. They had boots small enough because boy soldiers were a thing. At 16 they were sent to regular units. Although he was not supposed to be sent to a live theatre before he was at 17. He spent his 18th birthday in Belize collecting the bodies of the previous patrol, some of whom had been nailed to doors. (Actual little child soldiers have been combatants since it became affordable to give them firearms.) Me and my siblings started full time working life at 15 and 16. One sister started her nursing training on the wards at 17, and was in charge of a ward by 21. Definitely, premature adulthood hardens people, not usually in a good way. It can profoundly stunt some people psychologically or fiercely narrow them intellectually. But by necessity, kids *can* grow up fast.
This is the 2nd time listening. I sub'd, commented and liked after the 1st hr of the 1st book. That was a Long time ago. I was going thru my subs to see which ones to keep. Sorry, I know u can tell im a bit excited. Thx for all yr hard work. Im a forever fan.
I'm really enjoying this series so far. The story itself is written well and not to far fetched, it absolutely feels to me like this could actually happen. The narrator does a brilliant job, making the characters all sound different and giving them personalitys that leave me wanting to no what happens next. The only thing is the English accents!! I personally really don't like them lol sounds far to posh 😅 we don't talk like that.
@@lauriewhittle5877 It’s natural to a stunningly tiny minority: like King Prince Charles. But he’s in his later 70s. Old Etonians in their 60s don’t even speak like this although, like Boris Johnson and JRM, those not born to it learn to affect it by the time they leave.

24:10. Hmmm. Toner is a dry powder that has a negative charge that "adheres" to paper which has a positive charge, then is sort of "melted" to paper via the fuser (heat). Ink is a totally different product that is an actual liquid. You generally don't find large ink reservoirs outside of commercial applications. It's thin and viscous and relatively easy to clean. Putting a blasting cap into an unused toner cartridge full of toner and, assuming it actually exploded that surprisingly thick plastic, it MIGHT create a cloud of toner that would stick to anything with a positive charge. However, it would only lightly coat anything. Momentarily distracting at best. The casing is a plastic clam shell, the seam is a weak point that i imagine would tend to pop open as opposed to creating shrapnel. I used to sell toner and repair printers. A better use case might be actual paint in quart sized cans. Easier to throw than a gallon can and thicker, slicker, and difficult to get off most materials without significant amounts of water.
I have started and stopped many a post-apocalyptic audiobook, because many of them just drag on and on and nothing interesting really happens. I normally like EMP related stories, but this one’s a keeper. It’s not from the perspective of multiple people so it has a certain continuity to it that I like. Also the action keeps coming which keeps it exciting. And the narration is top notch. On a sidenote, if you want a good EMP story, check out the EMP Collapse series by Christine Kersey, which starts with Book One “Chaos Begins”. The narration is a bit stiff at times but overall acceptable. But the story is really good.
Absolutely love y'all's work. This book answered a lot of my questions I had about US military stationed outside the US. However, I am still curious about what would have happened to our nuclear submarines. Considering how hard they are to track, I doubt the Chinese would have been able to take them out in synchronized assaults. Be interesting to see if in later books If submarines end up making a reappearance. Keep up the great work guys! 👍🏻❤
With the threat of the virus looming over every nation, they would be hesitant to allow a US submarine to dock in their ports. Submarines have to restock, or the crew starves. Second, what do you expect a nuclear submarine to do? It can't fire a nuclear missle without a launch code and two officers with keys, they have the keys on the sub but launch codes come from the pentagon. No nuclear sub crew has the launch codes, and the codes change due to fear of mutiny or a sub going rogue. The Hunt for Red October was fake, and with no military command back at the pentagon to give launch codes, the nuclear sub fleet is impotent. Hope that helps, my uncle served on a nuke sub.
Enjoyed the book but their is lots of disbelief for any of this to happen. China is 6.6k miles away. The CCP is very corrupt including the military. That isn't to say we'd run over them but even w/ this bio disease the China would not have as easy. Also you mention subs its very highly unlikely they can track them & as for the carriers or ships they'd never be all in port MB cuz of Pearl Harbor plus they are easy targets even if in diff ports. And believe it or not there ppl whose sole job is to think &/research these kinds of events.

A very well written story, enjoyed it. But make no mistake Isaac is not the hero of this story, his ego and delusions and reckless use of the people around him to satisfy his own needs is a constant threat to the group.
Overall good story. Roled my eyes a few times at some of the cliché plots points and events. Especially the one on one duel near the half way point, i actually cringed when Isaac calls the asian gang leader out to a kung fu fight. But still, worth a listen
Hey I would really appreciate some help. Is there any prequels or anything like that or is there a chronological order that I should be reading these books in Ive only finished hell week but you know just wondering

Have you ever been in a life threatening situation where a bunch of people on motorcycles hell bent to kill you are chasing you in a truck? Obviously not. Conversations are not drawn out and casual, but rather quick and to the point. Its a fight or flight adrenaline rush, not "oh I never thought shooting a crossbow looking backwards out of a truck is so difficult. Hey do you think I should use a bomb? Ya good idea. Let's try it. Ok how long should I let the fuse burn?' Reality is more like "f$#k the crossbow. Gimme a f#$king bomb!" BOOM "GIMME another!"
I’ve tried listening to several apocalypse stories, but they either have poor construction, or the narrator is annoying. How fortunate we are to have Scott and Adam for a perfect series.
Might I suggest a trio of books by Willliam R Forchstein ? One Seconf After, One Year after and the Final Day, absolutely superb books, very well written and absolutely believable, I enjoyed them so much that I bought them on Audible, these America Falls books will be joining them !!
I have heard this book a few times before but I just realized that At 4:24:00 when Isaac and Ben are in the cafeteria about to get serve and Ben introduce them to Theo. Ben says I’m Ben and this is Luke but I was him and Isaac

Spoiler alert ....this is a fiction story
Excellent
Just finished hell week! I need to know what happens to sunny! 😳😳
Great read thank you. Look forward to purchasing the paperbacks 👍
And awaaay we go 👍
Absolutely love y'all's work.
Open the app 1st thing on my feed super hyped for this
Love this audio book so far. How many books are apart of this story?

Scott any plans for any new America falls books? We could all use a new part on how the gang is doing !
I enjoyed this. Only thing that comes a bit short is the chinese intelligence not able to decode a morse code message in reverse.
Congratulations to Adam Barr……his English accent is perfect.
What? His accent is so bad, and that's from a British person.
Sonny's a real one
Sonny is a badass, but that whole group is too especially further on
A very well written story, enjoyed it.
Very good book I love it ❤😮
So if I'm counting right only ally is left from Sonny's group? That's kinda fked he lost all his students one way or another at 4:40:39
3 are still alive but unknown if there whereabouts. Allie is with the group at Drake

Ok how long should I let the fuse burn?'
Reality is more like "f$#k the crossbow. Gimme a f#$king bomb!" BOOM "GIMME another!"
More please!
Definitely! Did you find book 3 - Cold Comfort?
When I envision sonny I think of the Asian guy on cobra Kai. Please get him to play the character if there’s a show.
Im genuine proud of this fictional kid isaac. Mother fucker has become the most badass character ive ever heard of
Yep. Still good 👍
This would make for an awsome tv show
you have to love that crossbow kid lol
4:23:03 I think there's a mistake when Ben introduces himself and Isaac not luke 😂
Amazing !
Did anyone notice that Ben introduced Isaac as 'Luke' to Theo?
Cool story so far. A bit of constructive criticism. How are they being chased by guys on motorcycles in icy/snowy weather?
I noticed that too. ATV's would have been a more believable choice, if they had to go with smaller transportation.
I have heard this book a few times before but I just realized that At 4:24:00 when Isaac and Ben are in the cafeteria about to get serve and Ben introduce them to Theo. Ben says I’m Ben and this is Luke but I was him and Isaac
