We stayed there numerous times before hurricane Michael came through. We have not been over there since but from the video it looks way different. So many trees lost. You couldn’t even see the campground from the road. Actually the whole drive in was nothing but thick trees. Was just reminiscing and wanted to see what the place looks like now. Pretty sad.
Just found this campground from a post on Facebook and it looks amazing...looking to go down in August for a week...there is another camp area that has 32 sites in it, Loop BH1...so not sure why you're saying it doesn't have many sites...
TY so much for the great video.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you, this is very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
ive always wanted to go there. Thanks for the vid Kev !
I highly recommend it! Great place to camp.
I think the vegetation was lost in one of the Cat 5 hurricanes, Michael I think. How far is it to the caverns from the campground?
I think you are right. The distance is considerable but you could certainly bike or walk. We decided to drive as it was easier.
@@KempOutside thanks! We have a class c and no tow vehicle, so if it’s doable with a bike that’ll work! Be there next week

Yeah the hurricane certainly changed things. Maybe the park can plant some trees.
