    The flip side to the sewer location is that in my motor home, I could pull in forward and now my front window blinds stay open and I have a beautiful view of the water. I am guessing that is why they are located in the front of the site.

    Indeed, you will like the Big Pine Key fishing lodge- they have a very nice pool and a walking trail that is a must see- fishing is pretty good too! (and a lot cheaper than $188/night)

    At the Beginning of the Video you showed a sign at Wallmart that said not overnight camping, the best way to get around that is sleep during the day and drive at night.

    I lived in Sugarloaf Key then Key West for 6 months after high school. Absolutely loved every second. I practically starved LOL. I worked at a few hotels doing maid service. Also sold blood and plasma. Still I loved it there. When I flew home my parents said I looked so healthy but all I could say is I’m starving and I love y’all. Great home cooked meal from Mom. Watching this took me back. Wish I could be there now. Thanks for the film!!

    You have done an excellent job with this video. Honestly, compared to other travel videos, this was very well done; it was interesting, well edited, and the commentary was entertaining. You need to come up and do reviews of the lakefront parks on Lake Michigan. The ones done by others aren't in your class. I will look for others of yours.

    Hi, Robert 👍🏻👍🏻 I enjoyed watching your video nice to see you back in the Keys 👊🏻 I really liked the drone shots and I’m glad the Colorado is handling Minitini very well. I know the sewer placement is in a bad spot but at least there’s plenty of room to set up a canopy and beach chairs behind the trailer to enjoy the view. Thanks for sharing, enjoy and have a Great week !!! Danny

    Nice to see Sunshine Key resort is open again. My Family, and I were regulars there in the 70', and early 80's. We would stay there for about 3-4 weeks in Dec. to get out of the NY winters. The opposite side of the island used to be a bird sanctuary, I wonder if it is still accessible? The previous owners made it a lot more affordable than your rate though. I was hoping you would have shown the pool area, and maybe the 'Rec hall", but no biggie. I have a lot of fond memories there, and you made it possible to relive them. Thanks Robert. Very nice vid.

    Thanks for taking us on your trip to the Keys once again Robert! Now that we've been there (two weeks ago) it's fun to watch and say we've been there! Unfortunately it was only 5 days, plus a day in the Everglades. So definitely ready to go back again soon! Does this RV park have a pool? That's a must for me. Say Hi to Fred The Tree and Donna The Bush for me! 😁🌳🌱

    Robert, you are doing a good job of discouraging me from visiting the Keys. Everything down there seems to be a poorly managed money suck . I say this as a Florida resident. I live in Ft Lauderdale and can visit the keys rather easily, like you living in Miami. I retired four years ago, and I've done a few visits to the keys. There are some beautiful places, but not where tourists go. Keep making the videos. I enjoy your adventures. Norway was awesome, and I like the visits out west in the US.

    Some people don't realize there are more to the Florida Keys other than Biscayne to Key West. My girlfriend and I traveled without destination in 1991 and discovered Siesta Key in the panhandle area. We traveled through Gainesville during the time of the Gainesville serial killer and stopped in Sierra Key. The locals there called it old Key West because Siesta had not been commercialized in any way like the Key West of long ago. A nice boat launch and calm seas the entire week with small fishing boats going out to fish. We checked into an oceanfront condo that was being run like a motel. Just a condo building and owners could have their units rented out by the day, week ect. We had to ring a phone as instructed to rent a condo at the makeshift" office". Within 10 minutes a man on a bicycle rode up and hooked us up into a very nice condo. The condos were on a rotation schedule and the money from renting went towards that individuals mortgage payment. That condo unit owner that is. We discovered there were 3 condos for sale and the nice unit we were in was listed at only $33, 000. The key was completely undeveloped and a bargain at that price. At the time my car cost more than the beautiful condo. Unknown and underdeveloped made for some inexpensive condos to purchase and if a unit owner didn't want his unit rented out while he was away he was under no obligation to do so. But the rented ones income was applied towards the mortgage payments. Should have made that purchase. I have no idea if its built up now. Robert, your video reminded me of that trip and that special gal I was with. Thanks.

    Robert, I was just going to say the same thing as the guy in front of me but, Oh well. I was thinking that also if they ran their pipe any further towards the water they may not have had enough rise left in the pipe from the water's edge to the destination which may be a lift station. To get that much drop, the pipe would have been started up too high, or out of the ground. That would only be the case tho if those sites were the furthest from the lift station. Anyway, you have the best videos of anybody in the RV community, so keep up the good work.

    Building code forces certain changes when they rebuild. Has to be a minimum distance from the water. I’d pull in forward with my MH to get that view of the water from my front window :) I’m a TT member and can stay there for $20/night

      @ATCkeepsUsafe Exactly! It's called Capitalism. Everything in the Keys is expensive (according to family and friends who have Rved down there). Obviously a lot people feel it's worth it. If someone wants to spend 2 million on a Prevost (not me), more power to them. It is a beautiful campground for sure.

      Better check out the rates at hotels in the Keys. Pretty cheap, would have been far less if he had stayed for a month or longer or went inland. I have paid 100/night for a tent site at Key West and only had room for the tent, not near the room Sunshine now gives, but it was cheaper than a hotel and to stay in KW overnight well worth it.

    Robert, is that my home away from home Walmart? lol. You know the which one. So far both Walmarts close to us still allow overnight parking both trucks and assume campers, however the Marion one has stopped daytime parking of trucks and vehicles with trailers, they have the day time workers park in those areas, even the Walmart trucks can no longer park during the day.

    • @TravelingRobert
      @TravelingRobert  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Many Walmarts are doing that. It is ban because sometimes you just need a large parking lot to take a break and resupply.

      probably done that way to protect the ocean water from contamination. If the tide rolled in too, water could fill the sewer

    Pulling in with a DP that is 40-45 feet, you would pull in nose first putting that sewer connection about where it should be

    • @macktruck345
      @macktruck345 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brent and Liz Scott then your sewer hose would be on the wrong side.

      Philip Crabill not a perfect set up but really not a big deal to run your sewer hose 8-10 feet under your coach
