Thank you for the review. I live in Japan and was looking at options for soundbars. JBL is popular here. I managed to snag the Bar 1000 for about $680 and I feel like I got a great deal.
DTS-X sound will only be available if you watch movies on Blu-ray. No streaming services like Netflix and others have DTS-X sound, only Dolby Atmos. In this case, the JBL BAR 800 PRO is more than enough.
Perhaps a bit of overkill, but looking at buying a used Bar1000 or 1300x for my screened in patio. The truly wireless rears are the primary selling point. The deck is 19' long x 11.5' wide, with the TV/soundbar being on one of the long ends. When watching the TV, you will be looking at a screened in with TV wall with screen to your left & rear, wall of the house on your right. Yes, the TV & soundbar will be covered when not in use and not in any risk of getting rained on. Will the 1000 be enough or should I look for the 1300x?
Nice and yeah should be fine but also depends on what the weather is like where you live. Also it might be hard to find a used one, maybe open box though.
That is a tough one. I would say if you have a samsung tv go with the 990C because of the Q-Symphony feature. If you have anything else go with the JBL!

I want to say 40, but I never do sound tests at max volume because I dont want any distortion. Most people dont want to listen to it at max volume anyway.
Bought this two years ago. Been nothing but literal frustration. That sound is not that great, but aside from that, it periodically mutes itself, and the only way to unmute it is to reach behind the TV, unplug it and plug it back in. The remote barely works, and is crap for a plus $1k system. The surrounds are innovative & wireless, but just don't sound as good as a plug in pair of surrounds. The sub sounds great as JBL is known for great subs. I ended up just unplugging the whole system and not using it, because of that muting issue. In the market now for a new one. Haven't seen anyone with a fix for the muting issue. Perhaps on the newer units the issue is resolved, but beware.
Thank you, compared q700c vs Lg9c , somehow the height effect is better in Samsung q700c. As i tested this in a store, where the ceiling was uneven. Can you give your judgement, after watch loads of videos, your was a treat to watch.
on my jbl bar, the voices seem to have no bass. I've already tried the equalizer and also turning off the smart voice function. What can I do about it?
well voice shouldn't be "bass" I would just keep messing with things because you should be able to get it to sound good. Also make sure your TV doesn't have any smart or AI sound features enabled.
Yes, but The 1300x is on sale right now for a few 1000$ more and it is even better and louder than this! What kind of room are you in? Small, Medium or large? Here are both 1000 - www.walts.com/speakers/soundbar/jbl-soundbar-bar-1000 1300X - www.walts.com/speakers/soundbar/jbl-soundbar-bar-1300x
@@WaltsTV large room. I don't really watch movies that often tho. And to be honest I don't really care that much about surround sound. I just want something that sounds decent while listening to music and occasionally gaming. I do like bass tho!
There isnt any physical batteries with the rear speakers, Its only an internal battery and they work just like a bluetooth speaker. It charges when connected to the bar or when plugged into USB-C

Does this Soundbar do a great job in Atmos or DTS-X sound? And the rear speakers, are they loud enough? Thanks a lot.
yes I think this will definitely impress you! Rears on this speaker is the big bonus for sure!

Please help. Have lg nanocell tv 350sqft room. Lgsp8 or lg9c or Philips 8947. Please help. Don't want rear speakers more interested in height sounds.
SC9 if you dont want rears because it has 3 height speakers.

I've had a jbl sb400 for many many years. Yesterday it quit working. I'm leaning towards picking one of these up. Is it worth it over the bar 500?

Well JBL is going to be able to check those boxes for sure.
How can I change the batteries of the speakers?!

What about the Sony 9 sound bar will it work with the lg g4 ?

bar 800 or jbl 9.1 ?
Bar 800!
Hello, I have a question, does this soundbar have HDMI 2.1?
Yes! 120hz at fhd
8;00 music
I forgot, copyright free music for sure. Im working on a new sound test and in that one I will include the names in it.
You won't get a filter and sound with a better cable.
what do you mean?
