I think Zinchenko will play as CDM, Tierney believe or not is return to Arsenal, if he can't be sold, he will be new different option to Timber at left back af least 1 year. Zenchenko can't run fast or master positioning defence like Monreal and opposition wingers exploit that weakness. Last year Arteta experimenting Zenchenko as CDM and he didn't dissapoint, he has quality to play there.
He could be fantastic. With his passing range he could potentially take away the need to play a Jorginho. I guess that's just the same idea as Zinchenko, but hopefully (for Arsenal's sake) better defensively.

I'm a villa fan and to put it in perspective we've just paid 40+million for Ian Maatsen!! As an Arsenal fan, the fact that a player of Tomiyasu's quality is now likely our 6th choice defender is mind-blowing. Still, not quite at the level of city having Gvardiol on the bench for most of the first half of last season.
This is why there shouldn't be concerns for arsenal fans when it looks that arsenal are moving slow in the transfer market. We are being smart with our money, not just paying what the clubs want and we are being specific about the profiles we want, not just rushing into who is our best option without properly evaluating. Still 5-6 weeks of the transfer window left. I can still see 1 or 2 more signings for us to add to the squad. probably a midfielder and an attacker.
Not sure it has to do with Branthwaite being British. It comes down to how much Everton need him and how much he is worth to them. We know he isn’t actually worth that much, but in order to let him go and then begin finding a competent replacement we would need that type of money.
