The last couple of minutes where his old self is trying to come through his new self is amazing. I had to rewatch it and listen to the lyrics to notice, and it made the song so much more epic.

Jaw dropped when Hope said "You're the one afraid." back at Fear. Always so powerful seeing him put Fear in its place
On that part I counted how many times he said 30 years it was 30 years plus 1 30 years and a new start I'm ready to see what more he brings.
DUDE YES!!!!!! Its almost like the venom symbiote everytime he said something negative it tried to take control but HOPE PREVAILS!!!

NF found the map to Hope!! He is now in white! This Intro to the "Hope" album is beyond phenomenal!! 🔥🔥
But it looks like his demons aren't giving in so easy and trying to set him all the way back to the mansion. His ability to use visual metaphors to show exactly where he's at mentally is masterful
"Forget the Mansion Im in the attic" and he was pushed through the ceiling into the room... so fire 🔥🔥🔥
The way I see this is that in the beginning when nate has the map, he's searching for hope. He wears white because he feels emboldened that he's willing to search as he wouldn't have done this before. As he starts to go down the rabbit hole of what he spent "years of [his] life" doing, the negative thoughts creep in and he's then attacked by his former self, the darker self pushes him back into the mansion. Older versions of nate would have came into the mansion wearing black but the first words the nate wearing white says is "growing pains a necessary evil" and then speaks about how a mental breakdown can be a positive" the old nate pushing him back into the mansion may have been a representation of that mental breakdown, but the fact he enters the castle in white shows how his new found sense of hope carries through into these spaces and lights the darkness so he can find his way back to the sun.
Can we just acknowledge that the darker side of Nate has been intentionally misleading him in self-defeating spirals. Gets sent away from the raft by dark-nate, spun back around on it by dark-nate again, and then when light-nate starts pushing back and resisting, dark-nate sends light-nate back inside of his mind. "get back in the prison. No one wants to hear from you." Nate keeps getting trapped in his own mind.
I relate to this so hard.
That's how Depression works. I thought mine was dead and buried too.... But it pops up... It's hard
It's also his thoughts telling the light Nate that he can never remove his past and he wont succeed without the dark side.
So crazy to think he’s been planning all this since his first album 🤯

Dude this song hit me so hard. I’m an alcoholic and my name is Nathan. For the past few years I’ve been in and out of rehab and kinda named my alcoholism and alter ego that drinking brings out as “Nate”. When I drink I do things that I’d never do sober. It’s insane. So the 30 years of chant went hard. Especially when he said 30 years of Nate. And at the beginning “Nate you’ve had a great run” dude. Tears. It’s so real. All of NF’s music hits right in the feels but this one was a culmination that I didn’t realize I needed so badly.
One of the best Hope reactions I've seen. You realize a song is amazing when people get frustrated when it's over even if it last several minutes. Much love!

Did you notice, while I've not seen every single NF video, I've seen most, this is the only one I can think of that he doesn't use some sort of filter, which usually has a greenish tint, at least for the first part of the video and the end. Anybody else think of one that was as sunny and non filtered as the outside shots on this one?
