Catherine's Area at Alta

This expert terrain area has a variety of terrain for skiers to enjoy. This video takes you from the top of the Supreme Express at Alta and offers a view of the hike and traverse as a small group of skiers circle around the ski area boundary and eventually out onto the Catherine's Out Run.

I'm not going to lie. At some point, with that amount of pedaling and poleing just to land in flats that require...more pedaling and poleing is why this part of Alta blows. It's why it's the easy summer hike over to Lake Catherine and why so many skin up the summer road. It's just not worth the effort for anyone with a lift pass.

If your in descent shape it's a breeze also the traverse keeps the front side from getting skied out so fast on powder days. You gotta work a bit harder at Alta.

@@DaveOwen-z2e if I have to work for my runs, why would I need a pass. I'll just join the other skinners and get 2 runs per day.
In the meanwhile, I'll take my 20th before lunch and you can tell me about how awesome wirkin fer turns is.

Traversed WAY TOO FAR. The best chutes are at the beginning of the traverse,

The best drop is around the minute mark, but very few people go way out, so the snow is sometimes better.
