    Re Sarah's channel being problematic:
Thank you for flagging! I didn’t pick up on any racist/ homophobic/ hate speech in the videos I personally watched but all the videos I watched were related to food that is why that got missed. I wouldn’t comment on her political/ religious views anyway here but i do NOT tolerate hate or bigotry of any kind. So make it known that I’m not aligning myself with that personally or professionally. Having said that, I was asked to review her diet as a pregnant mom, which was the goal of this video. As always, the people I review on the channel are not necessarily people I think everyone should follow as influencers. I can’t speak to all of their content or all of their views or beliefs. My review and commentary are related to their food messaging only.
Please see my note on my community page regarding a poll on whether to keep this video up or remove.

I very much agree with you that language around food is important. I had a terrible eating disorder while in my teens and twenties . I have a 14 yr old daughter and I’m am very careful not to common on junk food or weight. We don’t own a scale, we always eat family style and I do keep ‘junk ‘ in the house. It helps that we don’t generally eat out or fast food. I’ve been working with the belief that if we eat fresh made food, variety and eat together, we won’t have to worry about weight. I grew up with no junk food and that started un unhealthy relationship with food. My goal for daughter is to make eating and her choices second nature

Her husband stays at home so he must be a HUGE help or they have someone to come clean their house at the very least. I also don't ever really see actual cleaning videos just decluttering type. I don't know how they can keep up teaching, making daily homemade food, clean bathrooms, vacuuming, clean kitchen, laundry, a freaking newsletter, waking up at 5-6am ALL of that on top of the time consuming hours of editing/filming videos. If it really is just them two doing everything they should capitalize and sell that to people.

First I’m brown, not Christian, pro-choice and always have supported LGBTQ communities. But I’m honestly shocked at all of the labeling. I haven’t seen every single one of her videos, but from the ones I’ve watched I’ve never seen anything racist or homophobic. If she’s Christian, has strong Christian values, is pro-life, etc, that’s her right. I can’t believe everyone’s gate-keeping and moral high ground. I don’t believe you can just call someone a racist, homophobe, or anti-vegan unless you have specific evidence and quotes to prove it. No one has provided any. And until someone does, you all seem like a mob gunning to tear someone a part who doesn’t belong to your ‘group’.
Edit: it’s also so hypocritical that some are calling her anti-vegan if she’s not fond of the vegan community… when you all are obviously not very fond of her being a conservative Christian 🤦🏻‍♀️ can I call you guys anti-Christian? I hope you guys can understand these labels have no true meaning, no merit, can be subjective for every single person on this planet, and are a really lazy way to attack someone you don’t like.

Since we are announcing, I am a Christian. I don’t think st is getting hate for that at all. She said in a posted video that she wouldn’t support her child if they were lgbtq. That’s homophobic. She said that men can’t r*pe their spouses, because a wife’s is owned by her husband. That, in my opinion, is a dangerous view that means she shouldn’t be promoted. It’s extremely damaging to young women to be told you have to have s*x with your husband within 2 weeks of giving birth, as she had.
Want proof? Watch her wife talk videos. I used to be a fan of hers until she started talking about s*x in that manner.

It kind of bugs me (as a pharmacist especially) that when drugs are discussed they’re almost always discussed with their brand name. I would appreciate if the name of the drug substance was used instead or alongside because the same brandnames are not used all over the world, and I always find myself trying to google wondering how the brandnames are even spelled 🥴.
Also the ones discussed here were apparently dimenhydrinate and doxylamine which are older antihistamines and so they treat allergies and nausea with a side effect of sleepyness/sedation, which is why they’re also sometimes used as a sleeping aid short term. Newer antihistamines that are used just for allergies tend to not cause drowsyness at least to the same extent. Also Abby was correct, there is way more experience and safety data on these medications during pregnancy compared to melatonin.

The reason most people have difficulty with milk is due to the lactose present in milk (hence lactose intolerance) and populations that have eaten milk for a long time, many populations have developed a tolerance for lactose. You can Google charts that show that in areas such as Northern Europe, where people eat a lot of dairy, they tend to not have any issues with it. Thank you for your informative video....
I watched some of Sarah's videos in the past and unfortunately was very disappointed by the way she talked! When she wanted to introduce "environmental friendly" products, she talked like you "must" buy this kind of products and if you don't, you are doing very bad thing! She couldn't think that some people simply can't afford to buy "organic" clothes, luffa, dish towel, etc. Just because the companies which make them sponsor Sarah, doesn't mean everyone can afford them!
Also, for a person who is very into "environmentally friendly" behaviors, I can't understand why she is having 4 children!!!
I generally felt when she talks, about anything- eating, decorating....- she behaves like she knows everything and she is always right!

That’s so interesting about your comment on the prenatal gummy vitamins. When I was pregnant with my previous baby (#3) I took the gummy prenatal. The only thing I craved with that pregnancy was ice. I HAD to have ice and continue to suck on them. My husband (who is in med school) began studying anemia. We found out that craving ice is a symptom of anemia and found out that the gummy’s had no iron in them which resulted in me becoming almost severely anemic. I ended up switching vitamins. 🤗

Sarah's diet and promoting certain foods along with the wrong info about certain things make me cringe so hard. It's 10x worse because people actually follow her advice 😬. As someone with ibs and follows a fodmap diet, listening to her talk about this and that helping her sensitive stomach and then contradicting herself 5 minutes later, I just can't. Like here I am making sourdough because of a gluten intolerance! But also I'm making it in a day also with instant yeast so my starter hasn't even had time to break down the wheat. Oh, and "make sure you use bread flour because it's more broken down" No! It's higher in gluten, what are you even doing! Girl, your making normal bread.....Then her followers with celiac thinking they can have sourdough because the starter is making it possible 🤦‍♀️ cuz ya know sarah said so. And that's only a very small example of all the bad I've heard from her magical diets to cure acne, livers and who knows what else. All stating that her "Dr" told her to while also stating she doesn't believe in Dr's 🤔 she is just very naive with a large following which is dangerous. This video, not too bad. Some of her others, not so great.
