I like Andromeda but it does not give me the chills the heart tugging that the originally trilogy did for us. The Trilogy has a far superior sound track, characters and story and the gameplay hasn't aged that badly either it still is very fun to play, but It will feel weird not being able to jump and evade and climb stuff.

Crossing fingers that future DLC will expand more about the story of Shepard. I want Andromeda to know what a badass Shepard was. It did say at the end of ME3 that Shepard has become a Legend, and Stargazer telling a story about Shepard.

UNLESS... in the future they make a remaster... especially of Mass Effect 1. Many think that ME1 had the best story and atmosphere of all the three games of the trilogy, but obviously the combat and the graphics are outdated. Now, imagine the combat system, graphics and exploration of ME:Andromeda in ME1... It would be amazing! (or at least I think so)

Throwing this out there, Benefactor is working with the Kett, too. On Voeld, doing the mission to rescue the Moshae, go into the door to the left of the glass where you first see The Cardinal. A datapad reveals a message sent to the Benefactor, congratulating them on the success with Eos. Also thanks the Benefactor for transferring them (Hztch is the name. Maybe an Angaran before the exaltation? Or truly a Kett considering the datapad is in a living area for the Kett) to the facility on Voeld. Also thanks the Benefactor for "showing me your home world. Perhaps one day you may see ours."

In a world with 7 billion plus people, the use of the term 'benefactor' in more than one place at the same time is commonplace and/or coincidence. But a game is a lot more contained than that. Tell me, how many times is that specific term used outside of direct connection to the secret Initiative backer? Far as I can remember, and I've dumped 140 hours into a single character spanning nearly 3 full playthroughs, it's used maybe twice in cases that have literally no connection to this secret character. But here we have that term used as a nickname for someone with supposed success on Eos (Possibly through the Scav colony Advent, unless they're taking credit for Prodromos) and has shown this 'Hztch' character their homeworld. This single message has a little too much going on within so few lines for it to just be some random thing. Not to mention the placement. Being that you find it in a mission that, upon completion, unlocks travel to Kadara. Now assuming you get every Memory Trigger as you go and in order, Kadara is the world from which those triggers give you the first memory regarding the Initiative Benefactor. I'm sorry, but there is just no way that message is just some coincidence. I mean, you can disagree, but I firmly believe it.
Jien and Alec called this person a benefactor, because s/he did what benefactors do: they donate money. This is not a title like Illusive Man. I'm sure this datapad you talk about was dedicated to Archon by Angaran, before or after his exaltation. Also I see no reason for Benefactor to use his/her informal title to describe himself while talking with the Kett. He was named this way by Alec and Jien and that's it.

It might sound strange but when Sam explains to Ryder what the Reapers are and talks about Shepard, I teared up... Hearing him talk about Shepard like she/he was just a little figure in s history books makes me sad because Shepard will forever be something like a close friend or a family member.
I love Ryder too and I wish people would stop being so harsh with MEA because I truly enjoyed this game but Shepard... hell, I miss my brave space soldier who deserved so much 💖😓

It's possible, but the Andromeda Initiative launched roughly a year before the Reaper invasion commenced, so around the time frame of ME2. The real question is if any of them followed the Initiative into dark space.
If nothing else, any Reapers that followed the Initiative will get a surprise (the Scourge).
xLetalis so do we gather all of our knowledge from andromeda and head back to the milk way and stop the reapers. If we choose the don't use the weapon ending in the third game

The game has its own story, give it the chance. It cannot surprise the trilogy but it's got potential for more games. It can improve!
This was a very enjoyable side quests. I thought it was just a bunch of collecting shit like Inquisition had but this. This was perfect.
Funny thing is, after about 2187 the survivors of the Reaper Conflict likely sent an 'all clear, just checking in' message using laser communication at the least...and didn't the Arks have QEC, anyway? I swear I saw something about QEC in the codex.
Quantum communications cannot be blocked unless the equipment itself is wrecked. So with the QEC devices the Initiative should know that everything is okay in the home galaxy.
back in the trilogy the quantum comms required relays or *buoys* scrambled across the milky way to allow an instant communication flow
+Satan I believe you are thinking of the FTL communication network. The QEC was designed by Cerberus and ripped by the Alliance just in time for the Reaper invasion. The two aren't the same.
If I remember right most of the galaxy was reduced to dust. Every planet that had civilization on it was destroyed. One of the only planets to survive the complete annihilation was Earth. Even that was reduced to rubble. It would take them centuries of rebuilding to get back to pre-war era even with the blue or green endings. Population would also be incredibly reduced meaning even less manpower to rebuild.
The way the extended ending DLC with the green and blue endings went made it look like it only took a few decades, if that, to restore civilization.
The reapers DO have millions of years worth of knowledge and essentially infinite resources
I'm not quite sure how comfortable I would be letting a creature that just yesterday murdered my family rebuild my house.

its an anomaly currently identifies as "plot". It seems this anomaly can alter reality in spacetime, creating new possibilities that shouldn't happen, or denying reality that should happen. We still have no information of this anomaly. A further investigation will be required to fully understand it.
krogans started to have natural cure for genophage. 600 years they where under the gene therapy to increase it.
Mama Ryder just dying from disease they don't know how to cure. Neither what therapy to do to stop it.
What was the point assigning Shepard a gender in this game? They never even really talk about him/her and when they do they mostly use Commander anyways.

The game was dubbed and/or subtitled in several different languages. It was necessary to know Shepard's gender so as to translate certain lines to some languages.

It's possible to make a crossover betwenn Andromeda and Milky Way Mass Effect. Let the milky way srap the reaper tech, build the realy anew and travel to the andromeda galaxy with a few ME-relay instead of ark and enjoy instant jumps between two galaxy. With reaper drive, they can start 300-400 year after the Andromeda iniative and still arrive at the same time.
From the moment I started this game I could, I could smell Cerberus. You could just feel it, a dark shadow over the nexus. After years of being commander Shepard you could tucking sense the TIM's involvement, and it smelled like a bad wound...as shitty as this game was I loved the conspiracy behind it and I'm deeply saddened we'll never find out for sure
the main time that the ark leaves the milky way is during the year when shepard helps out liara with the shadow broker, so alec might of believed in shepard because both being in N7 and also alec might of been the only member of the ryder family know shepard was alive just before they departed

And Hyperion is clearly a Borderlands easter egg. No wait turns out people just like to use the same words because old stuff like Latin sounds cooler. Granted a Fulcrum is more obscure compared to other Greek and Roman stuff which we use all the time for naming - Atlas, Hydra, Carnifex, Phalanx, CenTURIANS (get it?) Cerberus etc. - but just because it's the first time you've heard the word used it doesn't mean that thing invented it.
At some point they're going to have to address the OT endings. NHS on the Nexus occasionally reports that the Initiative has kept pinging out arrival signals to the Milky Way but haven't gotten any responses back.

I guess the Illusive Man is behind this and maybe the relict tech isn't really "alien tech" but self-evolved human tech. SAm could also be infected with reaper code, that's why I never really trusted him unlike EDI (who definitely had reaper tech involved at some point).
Btw to all guys thinking Milky Way is gone cuz they didnt receive message - i've finished reading the book ME:Andromeda Nexus it's a prequel to a Andromeda game and they clearly said in there - Nexus is waaay out of the MW signal. No way to receive message about Shepard victory.
Right, so unless they can figure out how to build their own mass relays (which I think may have been the plan), they may never know the fate of their people in the Milky Way. Although, even with a mass relay, it could still take years to send and receive messages.

Random theory about the Scourge:
Is it possible the Initiative knew about the Remnant in their surveys of Heleus, and launched the Scourge weapon on the Remnant to wipe the cluster clean for Milky Way settlers?
There was no Scourge at launch, so the Jardaan were still around until 200 years before arrival. Could have been launched remotely while everybody was still in cryo.
That would create an interesting tension between the Angara and Milky Way races if they found out the Scourge originated from the Initiative at the Benefactor's command.

My guess: the 'Benefactor' is the original Shadow Broker. Somehow he faked his death at the hands of his alien "apprentice", allowing said apprentice to take over as Shadow Broker while he left the galaxy. Apprentice then panics when he finds the same information and tries desperately to find his own escape, only to be killed--and have his position taken over in turn--by Liara, possibly with Shepard's help depending on the player.
I wasn't really following the lore, so can you please explain to me why did people change when Benefactor spoke?

Well, It could be that the multiple faces serve the purpose of identity protection. Classic. But since they were talking through monitor screens, why show faces to begin with?
A more solid reason would be that Alec was talking to an A.I. or a collective mind which has multiple personalities (Reaper? Geth?).

Not necessarily, as the call from Liara is from sometime around the middle of the war, since the Crucible was still being built. And since there are no further updates past that (because they likely were out of range at some point), the fate of the Milky Way is still up in the air.

there're no indication that Shepard and crew has failed the mission.
i dont think it even possible for them to recive report about Milkyway , so pretty much how the war with the Reapers turn out were left open ended ( as it should )
Any travel tech after any ending except Refuse (but maybe even that one, in terms of Reaper knowledge of and pursuit of the Ai, potentially) has engines faster than what the arks had. So in a good writing sense, there should be a reason why Andromeda Initiative was left alone.
I wont be surprised if in ME A 3 couple Reapers will appear in the area with "friendly" visit saying *SURPRISE MOTHER F***ER*! >:)

Andromeda wasn't that bad, just had a rough start and not enough cool party members.
The party members were okay, but that rough start really sealed it for the franchise. Even with people's other critiques with the game, without those issues we would most likely be seeing a sequel.
honestly the only things bad here is the bad face animations, the downgrade from Shepard to Ryder i rather play his father, and problem with the combat system where you have only 3 active skills

The Arks left at the very start of Mass effect 3 moments before the Reapers. the memories were based through 1 and 2 during when he told his father
so if they left in between me2 and me3 they still should have experienced or know about the citadel attack.. .is this ever mention in Andromeda?.. gonna have to check all notes and time frames of all that happened then and now...but am begining to think the writers fucked up somehow as well as many other things
Yeah it is mentioned, the first time you meet Avitus on Harval he brings up Saren and you say something like "wasn't he the one behind the citadel attack" so yeah its there

So, in the end, the Milky Way is fucked. The Repears kill half of the galactic population off; however, Shepard stops the enemy and saves those who are left.
I swear, hearing Liara Tsoni at the end breaks my heart knowing that she and the famous Normandy Crew did what they could to save everyone. 😢😢 God damn it! I miss Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3.

omfg this is the best ending to a side quest and yet I completely ignored it. I really regret this now. Godfuckingdammit, the one thing I ignore from the game and it had the most impact. Fuck.
I would have liked that the Andromeda initiative departures from the Milky Way after Mass Effect 3 so they could have bring the reapers with them and crush the bad aliens in the Andromeda galaxy with the reapers and build mass relays
So all while they are escaping the Milky Way, the shepherd in my Playthru is doing the synthesis ending and makes the reapers our bitch😂 the Pathfinders would have kicked complete kett ass if they let us use grandfathered data.
I still wonder to this day why was this game hated on so badly? this game was great sure it had problems but every game has some problems I hope they make another one
