The writers were really clever with the reveal I think, because everyone suspected Pierce as the Sinnerman as soon as he turned up, then he was around for so long and did no dastardly things we just kinda dismissed him, and then BAM! He's Cain from the Bible too.... Great reaction.
Certain biblical interpretations have Cain being cursed to walk the Earth forever (instead of just to walk the Earth). This interpretation is very popular in TV/Comics/Ect where Cain is present.
no interpertations have that. Only those who make up stories, tv shows and movies. In the bible the only 2 things God did to Cain was to mark him with God's mark so no one would bother him or kill him as he was marked by God, and that Cain wouldn't be able to farm or grow crops. Instead Cain became a businessman and later in life his house fell in on him and killed him. That is it, anything else is just stuff made up for movies, books and tv shows.
Yep. The curse was that he would never be able to find love, peace or happiness again and he’d be cursed to roam the earth eternally. Never to grow old, feel the fear and release of death, never to forget anything he experiences. Each victim’s memory ,soul and face etched into his mind. As he didn’t just kill somebody random but his youngest brother out of jealousy form being overlooked by his father “god’s” first mistake.
Cain or Kain, was cursed to live forever as punishment for killing his brother Able. In some storys he's the first Demon, or the first Vampire in "Vampire the Masquerade" all the vampires that have his blood in them are called Cainites.
This season is so amazing with the twists and turns❤ It's clear that Chloe knows Lucifer better than anyone else. Lucifer's concern in his conversation with Maze is "who he might take of me" obviously referring to Chloe. He is still madly in love with Chloe. by the way, this episode was a mid season finale
This was such a good reveal! I remember when we watched it the first time, we thought Lucifer had that "Oh s**t I screwed up" after he stabbed Cain. But once Cain came back, we went "Ahhhhh . . ."
I realise this is a reaction/tv criticism channel but anyone else over her pointing out that they aren’t following correct police procedure, every time. Crime-solving Devil, it makes sense, don't overthink it
I hate how she always thinks she's smarter than the writers. I only keep watching because I love when she makes a prediction and she's wrong. But she never acknowledges it.
The fake Sinnerman was not Abel; the photo was relatively recent, and he was a child in it. It's just someone Pierce/Cain raised and mentored to be an accomplice/fall guy. All of your other questions will be answered in time 🙂 Fun fact: the fake Sinnerman begging Lucifer to kill him -- saying "it has to be you" -- was a remnant of a previous iteration of the script that was overlooked. Fans speculated on why it had to be Lucifer to kill him, but the creators finally explained it at PAX. I don't want to say more, as it touches on a spoiler, but suffice it to say it's only tangentially related to the actual storylines we get, so it isn't super important.
Funny thing about eyes... the eyeball itself doesnt have pain receptors, only the eyelid and the flesh around. So if someone has no fear and/or is stupid enough to want to blind himself, one can destroy his eye without any real pain
That's not true. That's the brain, not the eyeball. The outer layer of the cornea is incredibly sensitive to pain, and in fact has hundreds of times more pain receptors than the equivalent area of skin.
@@IceMetalPunk Yes and no... like i said, the flesh around it... if u stab the eye in the front, through your cornea, u can destroy it without feeling any pain. If u go deep enough you can hit the optic nerve at the end, wich doesnt contain pain receptors. Yeah I don't know my bible that well, or the lore/translations that have arisen from it but my take on Cain being immortal is that, as others here have said, he was probably cursed to walk the earth forever for killing his brother, Abel, thereby being effectively immortal. Its not as much biblical as it is part of dogma. The comics have very many interpretations of Cain. My favorite is that he is The Phantom Stranger in DC comics.
