Many thanks for making me try out this game; haven't had this much fun in ages. I'm playing as a Monk, punching Centaurs, Ghosts and Demons to death in endlessly funny.
50:05 Yeah, a little late to responding, but IIRC even with smaller dungeons enabled, the main quest dungeons (scourg barrow, Sentinel, Privateer's, etc. etc. etc.) are still the full sized dungeon as they are not procedural generated like the various caves and citadels and other places random side quests send you to. And indeed, Daggerfall's dungeons are sprawling by default. I think with Tiny Dungeons enabled, generation restricts dungeons to 1 block/chunk (the size of the starting dungeon, Privateer's Hold). By default, the storyline and other random dungeons could have up to 4 "blocks" or "chunks" generated. The exception is Scourg Barrow which has 6 discrete blocks/chunks. So, 4 to 6 times larger than Privateer's Hold. IIRC Sentinel is 4 blocks.
Love that the monks put up the dukes until you get too far then immediately do a quick draw with a bow. Like they were a cowboy pulling out a six shooter.
Some mods Jared forgot to add to the list: Transparent Windows (DREAM) Fixed Dungeon Exteriors Dungeon Loot - Lootable Dungeon Containers There might be more, but I don't recognize or remember any off the top of my head.
Would be absolutely delighted if you replayed through the Gold Box D&D games on here someday. I used to vibe hard to those streams and the soundtrack you put behind it.
At this rate I don't think I WANNA watch Jared do a play-through the Thief-games. It will only be embarrassing watching him fail to pick locks over and over... until he actually picks a lock, falls into the chest, and locks himself in.
In Daggerfall, you aren't really expected to play a single archetype like mage, warrior, archer. Doing these will leave you coming up short. No, instead, you play as a warrior mage hybrid, wield the full might of magicka whilst wearing full plate armor and switching to a claymore when you've exhausted your magics. Everything is on the table for a single character and with the enemies and their tricks- it is expected for you to play like this- similar to how Morrowind expects you to take advantage of glitches in the beginning.
I’m currently getting Daggerfall Unity on my Steamdeck. Just seems too cool. Dream mod may have to wait, it’s possible but it’s gonna test my skills enough for now just to follow a tutorial to get Unity on there.
About botched quest: so you are investigating some crazy dude, gathering evidence to discredit him, and then you just go to him and alert him to your investigation. wtf, so stupid.
Jerd, you weren't supposed to talk to the guy at all, just go give the letter to the lady who told you to get it in the first place. The dude took the letter and ran off with it.
@@codywilliams7557 par-don-me for trying to help you out. You wanna catch up on the half you didn't catch, but you don't wanna sit through the first half. I didn't question why you didn't know how to skip, I just told you the way. Jiminy, I even upvoted your comment. I'll be taking that back now.
@@KairuHakubiI never once said I didn’t want to watch the whole thing, you kids need to quit assuming crap and jumping the gun. My god man, go outside.

"cool, what is the story about?"
"Well, have you ever heard the story about Dark Plague the Wise?"
Thanks!
I'm here for the cartoonish banging metal sounds every time Jared has to use brute force on a treasure.
New projared daggerfall video. Now i know what I'm doing for the next 5 hours
Ready for some Daggerfall. Thanks for the content.
Those chunky metal clangs when Jared 'picks' a lock make it ten times more amusing
Yas perfect timing, was just about to start rewatching the last stream.
I am loving this series, hopefully I'll be able to catch a stream one of these days
Some mods Jared forgot to add to the list:
Transparent Windows (DREAM)
Fixed Dungeon Exteriors
Dungeon Loot - Lootable Dungeon Containers
There might be more, but I don't recognize or remember any off the top of my head.
Absolutely loving this series of streaams!! So jappy he is continuing eith jt.
I think you left the spellbook on your original wagon, Jared.
Wasnt able to catch the stream but would love to see more as long as you are having fun!
THIS IS DAGGERFALL!
You mad lad you did it
O7 for Robius Illyrian
King of worms: _Do you think he liked the boots...? 👉👈_

thank goodness I'd been waiting for days
that was a good stream. glad i caught it for once.
Pour one for the lost Centaur tribe
Climate & Calories is the food and drink mod you want Jerd.
You can right click a quest and quit it but you take a rep hit
Dang really? I've just been waiting it out.
You’ve only temporarily stunned my spirit!! I will be back for my…. REVENGE!
Companions, Daggerfalls mods are amazing! If you make this like a once a week or everyother week adventure style I'll be there
@1:23:55 has big ‘You can’t get ye flask’ energy.
I think the quest will unbotch itself - I believe the next step is just time oriented.
Now that I think about it, it's kind of crazy that Jerd never played Arcanum.
Another good Genesis rpg is Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday, from SSI.

Omg, the Lich. That was fucking incredible. I haven't commented on a single youtube video in a decade. It just had to be said. 😮
That Lich though XD

Dream isn't necessary as long as you can enjoy the chunky graphics. Lots of mods work better on regular unity
@@DarkKnightTrinityThanks for the tip!

Shining Force Booba Dating game? Anybody got a name? It sounds hilarious if a bit cringe worthy!
Also, lol @ about 3:26:22 :

Proooobably referring to Shining Resonance: Refrain. The dialogue is cheesy, but endearing. It's honestly not that bad.
