Re: "The Day Of" - apparently "porn" counts as an explicit lol - literally just a noun that neutrally describes a thing that exists. I don't remember "The Poet And The Pendulum" or "Song Of Myself" being explicit for even having the word "whore" in the lyrics lol.

My secret favorite song is Spider Silk because of the Tolkien style verses: "Suck it dry" could have been taken from The Hobbit.
Google translate is saying: Hiraeth is Welsh for "longing"

The Children of Ata were 6 Tongan teens in iirc 1960's (13 to 16 years old) who stole a boat which was wrecked and were washed up on an uninhabited island (Ata), they survived 15 months before being rescued. They acted like mature adults and built huts and gave each other chores and grew crops etc + they build a guitar to make songs (opposite of the story lord of the flies where anarchy reigned). The band hired real Tongan people to sing in their language.
I think Spider Silk is a metaphor for fate or death as a spider picking off us as flies
Hiraeth is Welsh which is what Troy is singing and means home sick or longing for a past time or place.
The Weave..Notice the lyrics repeat back on themselves part way through showing life & death and then back again like a weave

Tryed to rank the album songs, i think its a pure masterpiece!!
i listened to the album several times by now, and i have to say,to the critics of the mix, the mix is perfect!! instead of just getting Floor, its a wall of sound, that is very much a part of creating the grand journey and atmosphere on this album.

My description of this album could be this, a wall of sounds, that takes you on a journey, and songs that take you in directions you cant predict, in a good way, also very diffrent vibes in the diffrent songs, after listeng to the album several times it did grow on me, and i feel the album gives a diffrent vibe listening to it from start to finish, then when i just listened to the singles, love the album by now its a masterpiece, Tuomas is just a genius, Floor is breathtaking, Troy is a joyful spice, and the rest of the band just amazing.!!
This album, got a special place in my heart..

Something whispered... must be the most proggy piece of Tuomas so far. 7/8 tempo in the middle and the end, and I love it!!!

Thank you, Tim! I wish Nightwish would do a concert where they play all the songs from this record from cover to cover, complete with choirs and orchestra. And later a DVD of the concert would be released. I would be very happy then.
