- Hi guys!
It's a sad day. The bitcoin lottery machine has died! After 26 days of hashing strong it's hit the dust! Kind of. I'll be seeing what Canaan will do regarding repairing and replacing and if there's no luck I'll DIY it!

Keep on mining!
I have two in my living room but was getting an issue with them disconnecting from the internet, the router was in same room. I've moved both into outside mining shed now with cooling fans etc and no problem for 5days straight now. Good luck
Mine was disconnecting for the first few days then stabilised. I would recommend setting it to medium for now if you don't want it to meet the same fate! Updates will be posted
Mine is exactly the same.
Did yours recover after leaving it off for a while?
That's interesting. The day after I received my nano I took it apart and removed the plastic mesh on the front. It helped with temps as it increased airflow
I'm trying to keep mine together for now to not void the warranty. I think crypto miners need to get out of the mentality of needing to modify something as soon as you get it to make it run longer or more safely. If it dies it dies!
@@BlueBearCrypto That's an awful idea, I took those plastic mesh off immediately as well, mine have been running swimmingly the entire time
please keep me updated , will they give you a new one? you just lost it? is this normal that this happened? better med or slow mode then high?
I'll be updating the response I receive. I've not heard anybody else having issues with it not working but almost everybody says it feels too hot. I would recommend staying off high for now until we get some response or idea what's happened
Hi, do you mind to guide me how to found that wed page Avalon computing monitoring? I wouldn't find it. Thanks advance
If you've connected your nano 3 to the internet the display should show the IP link number. E.g. 182.168.1.XXX if you type this number into your URL you will get to the login page
@@BlueBearCrypto oic. Noted it thanks. Later I'll try it. 🙏🙏
my question is : are you send it back to your seller? did you buy on minershoop UK?
I didn't send it back as it came back to life after 24 hours of being off, it does still disconnect intermittently but until it goes off for good i'll keep it running
Did you have a 3rd party power supply, or did it come with the unit?
This is the original supplied by Canaan with the miner
I use my Nano on Medium setting not high and i have mine situated in my lounge and not had any issues.
I bought it with the intention of getting the most out of it. Seems like keeping it on high mode might be asking too much of it for long periods, but if that's the case then it seems it shouldn't be an option to choose
@@BlueBearCrypto Yes I agree it should not be an option to choose as you would want this to keep going long term possibly get 4 to 5 years out of it but maybe that's asking a little bit to much. Hopefully it can handle being on High as question is how long will those small fans hold out for before they give in considering it's something you will leave on 24/7?
@@techology7567 the fans will definitely get pushed more on high. But it's an ASIC at the end of the day, every asic has that challenge of lifespan
omg that scares me... i got running it 2 days, always do high mode, but i only run it 12h and let it rest at night.... if they all get killed that easily we overpaid :P
Not enough ventilation
I'll have to leave it outside with an umbrella and hope for the best!
WTF means Nano 3 died? As I see you have some problems with sensors, but it's not dead. Dead means it's doesn't turn on. How annoying people which can't lay mind clear.
@@mantassavickas7775 it wasn't hashing/ doing it's job. It's nothing more than a power draining paperweight if its not hashing as it should
Hows the customer support did they get back too you?
Will be posting an update soon but no, they did not reach out after completing the maintenance request form they use on their website
Was it on high mode for 26 days straight?
Yep
@@BlueBearCrypto I wonder if the heat killed it
@@jasonkidwell1767 looks like it. But the room never gets overly hot and it was on the cooler side, so if it is that it seems to die from its own heat
@@BlueBearCrypto that stinks man I'm sry I hope mine doesn't do that I lowered mine down to medium mode just to be safer I guess
@@jasonkidwell1767 yeah I was hoping to raise some awareness so people don't fry theirs!
