I had the exact same bike... same color, year model. That one is really clean. Mine was a bit rough around the edges but I didn't care at all. 30k miles and I bought it not running for $600. I pulled all 4 carbs and took each one apart placing each part in a line so when I put them back together, the process was the reverse of taking them apart. after cleaning literally every nut bolt and jet in the carbs, I got it them back together and the bike ran flawlessly. I'd wait until 3 am and go out for a few hours. Having the windy roads on southern Vermont to myself was amazing on that bike. I eventually upgraded to a 05' GSXR 1000 and after pushing the limits of man for 8 years on that beast I sold it this spring. Picked up a little Suzuki GS550E to at least have something but it's not enough... I really want another 1st get Katana again. This video really gives me the itch...
I have a crazy green metallic 93 same bike, full yoshi, stage 3 jets... Detroit, mi It starts and idles, I got it for 800 and I am excited for spring 2022, because this winter I'll be removing the carbs, replacing choke cable, replacing battery.... That's the plan. It IS SO COOL LOOKING....lol Love these bikes. Thx
Excellent, excellent review! Back in 1995, I couldn't make up my mind to buy a 1996 600 or 750 Katana. I eventually got the 600 but always liked the subtle differences between the 2 like the tail light of the 750. They are very close otherwise...I kept my 600 for about 4 yrs, in pristine condition, until someone offered me more money than it was worth, while fueling up at the pump. Like you said, the 750 had just over 100HP and the 600 had about 85/86 HP. I have a 2018 Ninja 650 and 2023 CBR 650 but I think in about another yr from now I will look for a 1998 Katana 600 or 750, bcs I always liked the newer fairing style & the double headlights 👀
I have one JUST like this one! A shame someone did get some dark tribal flames painted on the tank, but all in all this blue wonder is just a beauty! And I love mine dearly
I hope you are still enjoying yours. I had to sell mine last summer, because I had too many "toys" and not enough room. Also, keeping it maintained and running well was getting really difficult and time consuming (carbs!). I am slowly switching to electric.

How much did you pay for that beauty? I´ve just bought my Katana 600 of 1991. It is the newest I could find. Fully restored, 50.000km and I paid 1.500€ This is in Spain, Europe, and I am very happy and proud with the acquisition. Here in Spain, it´s not easy to find a Suzuki Katana (600 or 750cc) in perfect condition. There are few and very damaged between 600€ and 1200€. I paid I little bit more but mine is in perfect condition.
I paid a little over $1700 (US) about four years ago.It was not perfect, but was in great condition considering its age and only had less than 9000 miles on it. Enjoy your 600! Ride safe!
I had one of these for a little while and didn’t like it. The carburetion was poor, especially at low speed, making the bike almost impossible to ride smoothly. Also, I think I remember it had a cable operated clutch which was grabby. Not much low end punch - all the power was at the top. Sold it off and never looked back.

nice review and bike
Excellent video! Im going to look at a 89' GSX 750 F this weekend, and this gave me a very good overview of the bike.
I am glad to hear. Good luck with your search. Clean ones at that age are hard to find these days.
Thank you.

Oil stabilizers aren’t good for your bike, just fill it with fresh ethanol free gas.
I never has issues before, but thank you for your suggestion.
