I was a part of ROTC in high school (JROTC, since regular ROTC is at the college level), and our version was the Air Force's program. One of the trips we took as a unit was to a local air base and got to watch mid-air refueling practice from the back of a KC-135 Stratotanker. It's the coolest dang thing ever, I got to go down into the position of the boom operator and see an F-15 about a hundred yards away.
The indoctrination is going well I see. Its really cool to see various aviation nerds come together to teach Azki the way of the Avgeek. Its also really neat to see her learn in real time the amount and variation of planes in the air at any given moment.
I'd probably recommend her play DCS and fly the F-16C (since it's close to F-2 and has full fidelity details and when using full HOTAS? Man that'll be a win.) I would not recommend her to use F-15E RAZBAM as this comment is written, since there is a problem with RAZBAM - Eagle Dynamics agreement and as a result, No further update is pushed due to this issue... Plus, even though F-15E is aesthetically similar to F-15C except the bulge of Conformal Fuel Tanks, it is far from how F-15J works out (which nowadays follow the F-15C specifications and later with F-15X specs to follow F-15JSI).

Thanks for this clip, it’s so wholesome to see Azki geek out about aircraft. I actually work at an aviation museum directly next to an active airfield so I interact with new and old aircraft literally every day, even on my days off I read about them lol. I am not a “walking encyclopedia” like some of the 60-70 year old retirees who volunteer at the museum but I definitely harbor a keen interest and I really enjoyed this video watching a newcomer develop their own interest.
I love how fascinated Azki is about geography, logistics, and aviation. She could have been in that industry if she wasn't an idol. AWACS pilot Azki, or Doomsday Surveillance Azki both have so much story potential.

It was a pretty serious job, and she held onto it even years into being a successful virtual diva. Basic military fascination is liking things that go boom, advanced military fascination is the logistics and planning around all of it. Transportation of millions to billions of individual items from as small as bullets to the size and complexity of radars and systems guided by them. The complex logistics of keeping supplies in stock, planes in the air, filtering out the thousands of radar blips, and cycling everything to make sure there’s something always ready to go at a moments notice. It’s expensive, it gives you a headache trying to wrap your head around all of it, but there’s a sense of reassurance knowing that at any moment something scary could come out of nowhere only to get smacked by your country’s un-healthcare system for daring to try.
Can you imagine being on a flight crew on one of these training missions and you go back to base and watch TH-cam and see a hololive vtuber looking at your flight on a VOD 😂😂

I will take this opportunity to shill the TH-cam channel Perun. If you have already heard of him, good. If not, he's an Australian who does some form of defense consulting gig, and moonlights making hour-long briefs on TH-cam with impeccable sarcasm and humor. Think Lazerpig, but sober, coherent, and unimpeachably professional.
I think Perun is a retired Australian Defense consultant if not retired soldier who works behind the scenes at offices. After all, you cannot expect a soldier often out there deployed being able to grasps all those technical and vocational knowledges and terms from the military. He has been cited by various defense pages, that's when you'll know his credibility and knowledge in military is a real thing. Tbh, he would make a lot of money just by being a defense consultant, after all the various militaries still does consults experts on the matter especially defense acquisition and whatnot.
@@konsanalite To the best of my knowledge, the most detail he’s ever given is that he works in the defense sector as a civilian. I don’t think he’s ever said if he’s served but the implication was that he hasn’t. My best guess is also consulting, possibly freelance. I also rather doubt he’s retired, he stated at one point or another that he is currently employed in a more “regular” position than TH-cam.
A funny part with the Ace Combat references is that some of the pilots have obviously played it as well. From time to time you might be able to find an E-3 Sentry callsigned BANDOG in reference to one of the AWACS from Ace Combat 7. Azki's fascination is very relatable though. I also think these purpose-built machines are pretty cool that they've been made at all. I mean aerial refueling when it was starting out was looking like a risky novelty rather than the efficient and important thing it is now, though still not without some risk. Some of these planes have been flying for generations as well. Many fighter aircraft are designed to find and exploit the limits of the laws of physics or attempt to emulate it while on a budget. But I would also love that they not be used in anger. War sucks. It and violence have been depicted so much in our media that we've become accustomed to it, but I'd prefer to keep it to pixels instead of actual people.
Watching her geek out over an AWACS plane is oddly sweet, most people don't really care about them but I've liked the "funny planes with the frisbee hats" since i was a little boy

If she's into big stuff, she'd definitely love modern warships. From non-nuclear fast attack submarines to AAWs, ASW ships, to Corvettes, OPVs, to Fast Attack crafts.
She did mention that she watches military channels from time to time and finds Aircraft Carriers very fascinating.

I was a part of ROTC in high school (JROTC, since regular ROTC is at the college level), and our version was the Air Force's program.
One of the trips we took as a unit was to a local air base and got to watch mid-air refueling practice from the back of a KC-135 Stratotanker. It's the coolest dang thing ever, I got to go down into the position of the boom operator and see an F-15 about a hundred yards away.

(since it's close to F-2 and has full fidelity details and when using full HOTAS? Man that'll be a win.)
I would not recommend her to use F-15E RAZBAM as this comment is written, since there is a problem with RAZBAM - Eagle Dynamics agreement and as a result, No further update is pushed due to this issue... Plus, even though F-15E is aesthetically similar to F-15C except the bulge of Conformal Fuel Tanks, it is far from how F-15J works out (which nowadays follow the F-15C specifications and later with F-15X specs to follow F-15JSI).

Thanks for this clip, it’s so wholesome to see Azki geek out about aircraft. I actually work at an aviation museum directly next to an active airfield so I interact with new and old aircraft literally every day, even on my days off I read about them lol. I am not a “walking encyclopedia” like some of the 60-70 year old retirees who volunteer at the museum but I definitely harbor a keen interest and I really enjoyed this video watching a newcomer develop their own interest.

It was a pretty serious job, and she held onto it even years into being a successful virtual diva. Finally, she moved to Hololive and became more of a full-time streamer and performer, but maintains her interest in these sorts of things.

I love these things. Ever once in a while a C-17 does a low fly by over my house and its always so fucking awesome. You can even feel the ground and your lungs vibrating as it passes by. So, they are pretty strong indeed.

Basic military fascination is liking things that go boom, advanced military fascination is the logistics and planning around all of it.
Transportation of millions to billions of individual items from as small as bullets to the size and complexity of radars and systems guided by them. The complex logistics of keeping supplies in stock, planes in the air, filtering out the thousands of radar blips, and cycling everything to make sure there’s something always ready to go at a moments notice.
It’s expensive, it gives you a headache trying to wrap your head around all of it, but there’s a sense of reassurance knowing that at any moment something scary could come out of nowhere only to get smacked by your country’s un-healthcare system for daring to try.
Can you imagine being on a flight crew on one of these training missions and you go back to base and watch TH-cam and see a hololive vtuber looking at your flight on a VOD 😂😂

If not, he's an Australian who does some form of defense consulting gig, and moonlights making hour-long briefs on TH-cam with impeccable sarcasm and humor.
Think Lazerpig, but sober, coherent, and unimpeachably professional.
I think Perun is a retired Australian Defense consultant if not retired soldier who works behind the scenes at offices. After all, you cannot expect a soldier often out there deployed being able to grasps all those technical and vocational knowledges and terms from the military.
He has been cited by various defense pages, that's when you'll know his credibility and knowledge in military is a real thing. Tbh, he would make a lot of money just by being a defense consultant, after all the various militaries still does consults experts on the matter especially defense acquisition and whatnot.
@@konsanalite To the best of my knowledge, the most detail he’s ever given is that he works in the defense sector as a civilian. I don’t think he’s ever said if he’s served but the implication was that he hasn’t. My best guess is also consulting, possibly freelance. I also rather doubt he’s retired, he stated at one point or another that he is currently employed in a more “regular” position than TH-cam.

A funny part with the Ace Combat references is that some of the pilots have obviously played it as well. From time to time you might be able to find an E-3 Sentry callsigned BANDOG in reference to one of the AWACS from Ace Combat 7.
Azki's fascination is very relatable though. I also think these purpose-built machines are pretty cool that they've been made at all. I mean aerial refueling when it was starting out was looking like a risky novelty rather than the efficient and important thing it is now, though still not without some risk. Some of these planes have been flying for generations as well. Many fighter aircraft are designed to find and exploit the limits of the laws of physics or attempt to emulate it while on a budget.
But I would also love that they not be used in anger. War sucks. It and violence have been depicted so much in our media that we've become accustomed to it, but I'd prefer to keep it to pixels instead of actual people.
Watching her geek out over an AWACS plane is oddly sweet, most people don't really care about them but I've liked the "funny planes with the frisbee hats" since i was a little boy
