This intro has many very cool looking effects and strong attention to aesthetics and details. Love the multiangled text at 2:45 (vector charset it is) and the multilayered depth effect at 5:00. Ray marching at 0:35 well resolved. Clever use of assets to still fit 64K. Very good.
Awesome intro in old school classic style! A lot of beautiful details, perfect synchronisation with the music. I can't stop watching. For me this intro is the first place on Deadline 2024 intro 64kb compo. I will back to the production many times in a future. Fantastic work Olympian! 👍 I am waiting for next your productions. @@OLIV3R_YT Your intro 68KB is really great. I've just watched again. It is really polished! You are very talented. My next morph-crap must wait for realisation. Sad that my security software does not like it, detected as "Mal/Behav-066". Maybe because of exe packer used in this intro....yeah i could make an exclusion for that .exe, but security first, even it's a "false positive".
Yes, this is a false positive because of the .exe compression. In the zip file I also included uncompressed versions of the executable. Virus scanners should be fine with those :)
I tried to run this on RPi5 with wine and box64. Not all screen works: what doesn't work is the first screen ("in 2024"), end credits (in both cases there is a black screen instead) and there are no chessboards under twisters. Still not bad for a little Raspberry :) However, the ugly sweater works 100% good :) on the RPi5.
Cool, thanks for trying it on the Raspi. That is good to know ❤ also I will upload Glen-Z uncompressed. I will let you know over at Pouet, when it's done.
Yes, sure! Because I don't know if YT allows links: my GitHub is linked on the Demozoo/Pouet site for the "GLEN-Z" intro. In the next comment I'll try to link to the appropriate procedure in the source...
The glenz twist is here: github.com/olymp14n/spectrox-glen_z/blob/main/src/scene_0.c#L910 in a procedure called "twistGlenzCube". The implementation is rather simple: use "glScissor" to limit rendering of the glenz cube to just one row of pixels. Then do that for the whole screen and rotate the cube slightly on every row. Simultaneously I also scale the cube vertically and extrude the middle vertices. The way I implemented it is far from being good practice and I'm only saved by today's fast hardware ;)
And your next demo, some ideas...jelly cube, bob starfield, bouncing big scroller...Actually, you came from nowhere, doing great one screeners and intros...im not only one if im asking...Melon?
Hi, the requirements are probably not very high. I tested it on an old PC with a GeForce 1070. But then again I didn't really put that much thought into optimization :D
Beyond awesome - the oldskool vibe, the effects, the occasional pixel work. It rocks!

That original AY song composed by Alex Winston is absolutely great and your cover is really cool without "butchering" the original one.
