Was (and stil is) a fun game I completed all those years ago. only difficult part is thtat damnned pirate ship near the end having to time the jumps and hope you dont mess up at the cannons else its back to the beginning og the level ! ;) I recall that I grinded the scarecrow level to get the max ammount of flasks awarded at the end of the level.
ehmm then this is an earlier version prolly. I think (if i remember correctly) the cover (book) had a screenshot of Dan having the axe in the HillTop level and I was like whaa? So maybe they tweaked it after

I beat this game and its sequel all Chalices back in the day, just recently replayed it, did a leisurely run...not speedrun, I don't care to do those. Just got the Magic Sword after The Lake which I'm pretty sure is the earliest you can get that. Such a great game, it remains one of PSX greatest masterpieces. Shame the atmosphere and epicness were sacrificed in the sequel for a cheap plot, bad character designs and slightly higher difficulty- don't get me wrong, I think Medievil 2's a good game, just a bad sequel.
Guys, can anyone tell me what's wrong with this longplay? Isn't Sir Dan supposed to talk to Canny Tim on his very first visit at the Hall of Heroes? Why is Bloodmonath Skull Cleaver in his place? I am so confused.
ultrix soma probably because it's another version of the game, my guess it's European. PAL games back in the day sometimes had differences with NTSC ones.
Wow, now that I watching this again, the European version has a lot of differences with the American one. Like this ones I've seen: -In this version they gave you the Axe as a new weapon, in the American version, you have The Crossbow as a new weapon after the first level. -In this one, you can obtain another Life Bottle if you replay the level, in the other you can't, instead of that, they replace it with Gold.... But I think all of you have noticed that, but, meh, I remind it I you forgot it xD
THATS why he has all the life bottles by like the 3rd level LOL, i was like whaaa? And I saw Canny Tim (the crossbow guy on the 2nd floor) and I was like...ummm what? :D Thanks for the explanation
No that puzzled me too. I own the European version and never before have I seen bloodmonath where Canny tim's meant to be. In the PAL version we also get the crossbow first. It's still cool though. Just weird because I've never seen that before.
I think this things make game a lot easier. I played this version, but it was pirate and freezes at lake level. But when i get original PAL disc i was surprised about axe and get it only near end of game. And life bottles never respown. So US version is basically easy.

in the version i have theres a lot of changes it seems he play a final beta of the real game i first get crossbow like you and my cooper shield has 150 points instead of 100 seen in this game xD
I wish Sony would make a third Medievil game for ps4 I really want to see how Pakethorn fusion with Zarrok and the faith of Sir Daniel Fortesque and Kiya how they turn out to be.
So it is claimed that the sorcerer Zarok was killed in battle, yet somehow after 100 years, he returned. I'm guessing he must have either enchanted himself to avoid instant death or faked his own death to make it seem like he got killed, but went into a 100 year slumber to recover from his battle wounds in secret so nobody would ever suspect he will be behind the next evil attempt to take over Gallowmere. And if you haven't heard by now, they planning to update both MediEvil 1 and 2 to PS4 which I'm so happy to hear.
