Border Control Experience: Bound to US

Our trip to US for the FIRST TIME and I'll be sharing with you my immigration experience.
We flew with Philippine Airlines, so I'm not sure if the security check is the same with other airlines.

Your title is misleading. It’s more like a US “Visit” Story rather than an “Immigration” Story. You “visited” the United States. You didn’t “immigrate”.

Never fly Philippine Airlines if it's your fist time to US. and don't even think about bringing food. We have enough Asian grocery here .

Aren't food stalls and restaurants available next to the boarding gate? Why do you need to be interrogated once again by immigration just to eat?
Cash more than 10k USD have to be declared. That's why they asked for your pocket money.

Yes, there are food stalls next to the boarding gate. However, once you enter the boarding gate, security check is mandatory. If you want to go to the restroom, you can exit the boarding gate area. Upon re-entering the boarding area, you will need to undergo security check again.
