Look in too it many wireless devices can be used to sort of x-ray 3D image everything between two or more. Most homes are compromised by this tech. Or the nearby neighbor's tech. They can see enough spy on and decipher what most everyone is supposedly doing in the privacy of there own homes.
Great to see the SO pliers in the video, again!
Great video!
Hey you should get the occidental pocket caddy, it's a absolute life saver for small home repair tasks.
They blew the radios up today... so this is still a risk
ok, two cups on a string then it is!
Yeah I heard Baofeng batteries were compromised.
@@pittuk6500string could be used as a wick to a dynamite laden can. Best bet is to hide in the woods and build a killdozer
Not if you get it from a trusted supplier. It's all about the supply chain. And no, it's not batteries going boom
@@cryptowolf-zf3fs they were Yasue radios. the boofwangs are still chirping.
This didn’t age well
Bro, they blew up walkie talkies today🤣
@@stevenhitchcock4278 False flag operation no doubt
I thought it was pagers
@@KirkWagner147it was first, then they did it with walkie talkies.
They intercepted these pagers and walkis then fitted them to blow
Yep, the leadership identified cell phones as a threat for many reasons and banned them long ago....
I don't know who this Anne Tenna is but she sounds pretty helpful.
East coast man would've installed that right the first time? God bless your family
*on a Nissan Frontier 😂
East coast and gulf coast men understand basic radio theory of ground planes.
I appreciate you showing the mess ups, Because we all do the same stuff, glad it can still happen to the best of us.
A 50 watt radio is going to have a hard time getting enough power from a vehicle power outlet. It is highly recommended to power them from the battery via direct wire. Those radios get pretty hot to the point they require a cooling fan as well so I'm not sure how using it while it's in a bag is going to go. Seems like overheating is in your future. Act accordingly.
Lol must have made this yesterday before all the radios started rapidly disassembling themselves.
Putting those radios into a bag like that has several problems first and foremost it will be prone to overheating, with the cooling fins covered up. You will need to attach an external speaker to it because you won't be able to hear the radio with it in the bag.
Beloved, they blew up walkie talkies as well… no1 goes safe…
All consumer goods are now vessels for explosives. Is has unleashed more hell upon earth. The impact upon travel and consumerism is going to be permanently lasting.
All those devices that blew up were tagged with explosives charges. It's not smart it's just unethical warfare tactics from your usual suspects. Don't trust your middle man next time
Can’t wait till next month for him to explain why we should spend $2000 on something different. That is much superior.
this comment section is lukewarm IQ
they didnt blow up just normal pagers and radios, they had explosives in them
I was taking my victory lap, but my vegan shoes fell apart and my wife had to come pick me up in our Prius
My issue with this setup is that radio is likely to over heat based on your pack install.
Yeah he's got those heatsinks wrapped up in several layers of insulating material. If you transmit for long, you're gonna have trouble.
This east coast man was screaming your putting it on the wrong side lol
They definitely sent a message we all should act accordingly
Unless you're part of an Iranian proxy group, I think you're gonna be fine
So your galvanic corrosion prevention - there's a paste called "ECK" that is zinc rich that does a very nice job at prolonging a barrier to galvanic corrosion.

I added vhf to my truck for work last year. I attached the antenna to the back rack. I also have a cb on there, and i can hear signals from california while I'm in Alberta
E. Coast guy here says this: "If you can afford this system/equipement, you would be a Fool not to hurry up and secure it for yourself." This is a very important video. Be ready. Stay ready....
oh my brother, I feel you on the multiple repeats on projects like this. I have to say, watching it ticked me to to no end!
I’ve been looking at a midland basestation to use in my truck and for man portable “activities.” I love these radio videos.
Glad to see you are healing. Enjoy your sense of humor. Sincerely, East Coast guy.
I use copper neverseize for a good ground stays good too ! Prayer's
You need to ground the FM Antenna !

Those radios get hot bro..
Good morning Cody
I know you probably won’t catch this because there’s so many comments
Just wanted to tell you thank you for sharing your life with all of us and I really appreciate your content. Been following for almost 3 years now.
If you put a comet or diamond antenna up..the next stage is one of those call sign license plates. You’re in deep now
I dunno I think all this coms stuff is pretty neat!
Prime example why i prefer devices i can dismantle and reassemble. I have a habit of inspecting all of my long term prep gears components, my phone would be too inconvenient to disassemble to check, due to water resistance.
Its looking like the maybe the old-time CB radios are gonna be the only option.
Florida Man knows that it is an an-TEN-na, not an an-TAN-na
That west coast home schooling must be sub par. Lol
The reason why they usually put the antenna on the roof of the car is to make stealing it even harder. I think having it there might attract too much attention from curious hands…
Iv had homing pigeons for decades, im considering starting a messaging service 👍
Proven authentic
Some people are particular if their messages are in blue bubbles vs green bubbles. Do you have blue and green pigeons??
@@justinredman4389 yeah as it happens I have blue ones and some with lovely green throat feathers 👍
The placement of that antenna has a ton of “look at me look at this” to it. Definitely not low profile
This is the video I’ve been waiting for!
Thank you
Get yourself some three radio kits!!!
I ordered mine. Trying to decide if I keep the original or sell it
I think I would mount my antenna behind the cab off of the bed somewhere.
Flawless install. Enjoy, Cody!
Flawless, not exactly but I do appreciate your generosity,
I have never related to a video as much as this one when you are trying to attach that bracket.
Wow, that was a west coast effort if I'd ever seen one
You’re going to need metal on metal to create a ground plane. Just use an OX guard paste! Otherwise the antenna is NOT going to perform.
There is a metal bolt that holds down the metal bracket to the metal fender.
Smoke signals and homing pigeon
I wonder what Evan says about the radios that blew up today
Cody, a suggestion would be to mount antena to the front bumper bar like the aussies do? Saves any risk to the wing (fender) or bonnet (hood) or for the cable to rub. I forsee vibration rubbing the paint. This isnt a 'shouldadoneit' criticism, just an East Coast Scotsman, living in the East of Finland, watching this West Coaster.
I'm getting my mobile radio this weekend. I'm going with the YAESU FTM-500DR, but will have similar capabilities. With all the madness these days, seems prudent. I'm also a nerd, so it gives me something new to tinker with! Great vid as always
Thank you for posting West Coast Man! 😂. I found an antenna bracket for my truck. I was gonna mount the antenna off the side of the tool box.
Good to see I’m not the only one God humbles in front of an audience. Great content as always and God bless. 😂
It wasn't cell phones that blew up, yesterday it was pagers, today it was HT radios, just like those.
Putting your transmitting antenna that close to your recieving antenna could cause issues with your recieving radio. Turn off truck stereo before you transmit.
I have same truck, no issues
No interference with AM or FM.
I've mounted dozens like this, never had a problem.
Zero effect. Broadcast FM is ~40MHz lower on the spectrum.
@@_RadioMadeEasyso these radios are transmitting on 2m (144 to 148 MHz)? Do we need a special license for this?
oh god he was right. Radio people are a bunch of nerds😂. Who cares? If it works, it works. If it doesnt, get a better placement for the antenna🤦🤷
Any signal makes you a target. Always assume something that _can_ transmit, is broadcasting some EMF.

How’s the kits from Evan coming along. I’m super excited to get both my three radio kit and single kit
If they want to get you, they are going to get you
“We do it right, because we do it twice…”
Just in time for the exploding radios.
What bumper do you have on your Superduty?
No electronics seem safe anymore
How to train your Dragon. Loved watching those movies with my boys. Great movies.
Suggestion for a better mounting option. Look up sdhq from Gilbert Arizona. They make an a-pillar mount that is designed for light pods but I use it for my antennas. Powder coated steel. Solid mounting. Much sturdier mount than that piece of folded metal that will vibrate as you drive. It’ll drive you crazy.
I’ll get one, problem is explaining it to Mrs.Graham!
Gulf coast man laughing at west coast man, the struggle is real
Should have just bolted a steel plate through the roof of the truck so that you can use the magnetic mount. Easey peasey! 😜
Need to ground that antenna
My adult son and I have an inside joke we send back and forth.
"This project should only take about 10 minutes."
THREE HOURS LATER.....
😂
I used that same brand of make model specific antenna bracket and it works excellent. I also used an nmo cable where the uhf connector came off so you could run it through existing holes in the firewall easier. I used a shorter non-ground plane antenna as well and my radio setup is excellent
you can get little steel mounting plates for aluminum trucks with 3m adhesive for mounting magnetic antennas...never tried them but don't see why they wouldn't work.
Sticky tape at 70 MPH, great,
@@wranglerstar I think you put the steel plate inside the truck, then magnet to that spot on the roof.
No ground plane
I cant imagine paying someone to monitor my cameras. Is that something they do? Ability to monitor the interior of my house? I have a stand alone DVR system with 8 cameras. No monthly service and no one can review the footage without my knowledge
That sounds like a much better idea, than paying to have some security company's employee's (that you don't know for sure, were properly vetted upon hiring) watching your family's every move at home. 😱 And possibly having that private footage confiscated by g@v$rnm$nt agencies or LEO'S gone rogue with falsely obtained warrants, (we've heard of instances where it's happened to people already) to use the footage against you, while illegally violating yours and your family's, right to privacy. Nooo...thank you, lol 😅! Keep as much of your personal life and info within your control and off of social media too! It blows my mind, the amount of personal information and knowledge about private details of their lives, that people readily share with much of the world on their social media accounts! And many of them leave access to their life's story, open to the public and up for grabs! 🤯🤪🙄😜 🙏🏻❤🙏🏻
lol I was just thinking that the tape was on the wrong side.
FYI Cody NASA did research on lock washers/ star washers the research showed all that the washers did was add weight to the project.
I’d pay 400 freedom units for that bag all day long if you buy quality you want to stow it in quality!!! People pay all that money for a radio the quibble over the price for a quality bag to store an carry it?? Never make sense to me some people!!! Love content Cody love to you and the family!!
If you unbolt your hood at the hinges and reboot it together with some washers between it it will raise the hood up a little bit
As soon as you put that tape on I was thinking thats on the wrong side.
Ok, I don't usually break anyone's bubble, but putting that radio into a bag is a BADDDDD idea. those mobile radio's run HOT, and your blocking the fins and fan with that bag.
Shucks we better go check on our radios that have been working well inside them for over 2 years.
@@_RadioMadeEasy , How are you keeping them from overheating? We had a regular CB radio in our truck, that got hot during use, and it was bolted to the bottom of the dash, getting plenty of open air circulation, but it still got pretty warm, after a little while. 🤔🧐🤓 Are these radios, really that different from the CB's? I don't claim to know anything about them, nor how they operate, lol, 🤪😜🤪, just curious about how things work, and always keen to learn more. Thanks for taking the time to read my inquiry. 🙏🏻❤🙏🏻 Hope you have a good day! 😎
Not the first time they have used electronics as weapons.
What a great radio set up
It was pagers and radios. Cell phones were abandoned a long time ago.
Perhaps you should have contracted East Coast Man to install your antenna.
You EARNED my thumbs up.
Hey Cody I was going to watch the livestream from this morning and it’s no longer listed just seeing if it’ll be re uploaded I’ve been enjoying the morning livestreams. Thank you.
Not sure why, I'll look into it,
Same here
"STARTING to get embarrassing" 😂
Looks solid, from an east coast (misplaced southerner) man.
As an east coast man, I thoroughly enjoyed you putting the foam on the wrong side lol.
Mobile in the vehicle is an absolute must have along with the base station at your home location, absolute game changer! And as a proper East Coast man, I'm never going to be laughing at you, I'm laughing with you. We East Coast guys definitely can take a joke too, with good comedy no one is safe 🤣🤡
There is nothing wrong with trying you best the Cody.
You are redselsfull and smart and this took me back to the younger days when we mounted radio and speakers in our cars and I remember it was just like this, putting it on and off and trying unique way of doing it. It takes time specially laying the cables under the carpet in the car and put it back down to make it complete.
Why do you call it man-service? What's the story behind the name?
Why do you differentiate between costal origin like west-coast foks etc.? Like I use to say they been in the jab in the hut in simuler cases myself. But I see how that's not appropriated on TH-cam guidelines.
Have a blessed day sir :)
Don't you need to tune the antenna once mounted on the vehicle?
No, it comes pre-tuned
Those antennas are pre tuned for the frequency range those radios operate in.
Does it cost extra for the explosives?:)
You’re a winner
Def watching this on an exploding phone right now
As an east coast man I did get a laugh but I would be lying if I said I had never done something very similar.
Can confirm, I was laughing here on the east coast
Am curious, is that pouch used to store the radios EMP protected, like having a Faraday Cage woven in?
Won't matter if connected to the antenna.
if you're going to isolate the bracket from the body run a ground strap from the bracket to the engine/frame/etc. You're already losing receive because you're not using an appropriate ground plane.
It isn't isolated, there is a conductive bolt going through the bracket into the fender.
Great vid!
Pagers in round 1 and walkie talkies in round 2
As an east coast man I did laugh. Patiently waiting on my radios. Keep up great work!
I’d store mine in faraday bags. Do you have any recommendations?
