And now for something I would have had sooner; but had misplaced the tape and didn't realize I have found it again until recently.
Anyway, this promo is for the April 30, 1992 2-part final episode of the Cosby Show ("And So We Commence"); beginning with a reference to the series being effectively the crown jewel in NBC's 1980s comeback from worst to first.
With April 30 ending up becoming the 2nd day of the Los Angeles Riots over the clearing of the cops involved in the incident with the Rodney King arrest; on NBC's Los Angeles station KNBC, Bill Cosby attempted to cool things off by asking the rioters to settle down and watch that last episode (which in the original airing also had NBC do a three-minute thank you). - บันเทิง
The night of the finale (1992) was during the height of the LA riots--Cosby made a public announcement that night that aired in the Los Angeles area (KNBC) for everyone to stay home and watch the finale in attempt to defuse some of the tension
So sad to see it end. It was an awesome show. Need more like this.

It’s the comedy that changed everyone’s lives forever it was one of the best episodes Theo graduation I actually cried because I watched that show growing up it’s sad what Bill Cosby did but I honestly thought this was the best drama show ever...
That night I cried Theo graduation from college was the best episode I’m sad that Bill Cosby did a horrible thing because he really changed our lives in that show

You're right but I remember when the series finale aired on April 30th, 1992 a montage aired right after. The montage started with "1983" and showed a newspaper article about an ABC network exec saying "Situation comedy is dead" back in 1983. Then the whole montage started with the Cosby Show from 1984-1992 defying the those words and reviving the sitcom genre. Also ABC was the first network offered the Cosby Show and they rejected it.

It was in the newspaper in 1983 back in the day they would put a ad in Beacause it would get you ready for the show to come out.
Cockroach could've stayed for the entire rest of the series, too bad he had to argue with and bad mouth Mr. or Dr. Cosby...over having long hair...was it worth it?

It’s still airing and why are we comparing this to family matters? They’re 2 different shows obviously they’re going to be different but that doesn’t mean one show was better than the other they were both unique

Leave Bill Cosby Alone! He had a fucking good legacy for our generation, All there is in this chaotic world is a bunch of fucking haters. I still watch his show in this world to me He's innocent til proven guilty so move on people with that.
