Goodbye pat sajak, you made my child great and I will never forget you ever for the rest of my life. I hope you live a wonderful retirement and enjoy the little things.
No more Alex Trebek. And now Pat Sajak has retired… where have the years gone??!! Thanks so much for all you’ve done Pat to both the newer and older generations!
Jeopardy's still going strong with Ken Jennings tho, because he was the GOAT for holding the longest streak ever, while many people are not used to Seacrest's hosting of Wheel
@killerb255 For all of us who were children of this era it feels we will be saying one goodbye after the other. With that said I am very greatful to have been a part of the Prime Time game show experience. 🎉❤😊
I'm 20 years old. I grew up watching Wheel with my grandmother, mom, and dad and almost never missed and episode. I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried during Pat's final thoughts. As Dr. Seuss said, don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. Thank you for all the memories, Pat! I'm gonna miss seeing you on the show.
This last episode got me into tears. Watching almost every episode of wheel of fortune especially because of Pat and Vanna, the true icon stars of my 32 years living on this beautiful earth. Congratulations Pat, we will miss you and happy retirement goodbye 😢❤
I watched this show with my grandmother from 2007 all the way up until now. Even though she passed in 2022 it was a way I was able to connect with her even when I didn’t see her often. This show will always have a special place in my heart even with not having watched it that long in comparison to others since I’m only 21. Pat Sajak you will be dearly missed.
My family and I have watched every episode since 1984. We will miss you tremendously Pat. Thank you for everything you have done for us and everyone lucky enough to watch your show!!! You will be missed!!!
PAT .. It was AWESOME to share that stage with you even if it was for only 18 min... It was an absolute honor to play this game for real! Best of luck in your new adventures! - Brandon from Nashville TN (now NC)
As we take this time, once again, to say goodbye to Pat Sajak, in this show’s entirety, there is a rhyme by Clarence Day which says what I want to say, in which Charles Kuralt once said, as he stepped down from CBS News/Sunday Morning: 'Farewell, my friends, farewell and hail; I'm off to seek the holy grail; I cannot tell you why; remember, please when I am gone, 'twas aspiration led me on; tiddly-widdly-toodle-oo, all I want is to stay with you, but here I go, goodbye.' Thank you for so much of your work, Mr. Sajak, once again. God Bless. Keep the Faith, Pass the Peace, Make the Magic, and Share the Love.
Pat, I commend you for your faithfulness to the "Wheel of Fortune" show. Few people can say that they stayed the course as long as you have. You ran a good clean show that the whole family could watch and that is getting rare these days. Thanks for it all. May your next adventure be even better! Thanks and Good Bye!
As someone who was born and raised in the US and then left abroad, this show and Pat Sajak always represented the America I remembered as a child and loved so much. Him leaving truly is the end of an era. You will certainly be missed and forever remembered with a smile, Pat. Good luck with whatever you choose to do from here on out!
Truly an end of an era. Of course, the show is still continuing, but it just won't be the same without Pat Sajak. To host a show for over 40 years is no small feat.
😢😢 Pat, u wil truly b missed. Luckily there r stil many episodes available online of u for us fans to review and see that charming smile and short but cute jokes of yours... Love u Pat 😘 Happy retirement
Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! were my comfort shows as a child having to deal with evil teachers and overloads of schoolwork. It was an hour where you could escape from the harsh realities and societal pressures of post-second grade elementary school. Always looked forward to being able to escape to the world that Pat and Alex had for us at 7pm every night. Even though I was always more into Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune's simple gameplay always felt more comforting. Sure the puzzles might've been somewhat difficult (especially the bonus round), but at least it wasn't as advanced and complex as some of the "answers" Jeopardy! expected it's contestants to respond to right away. Thank you for everything, Mr. Sajak! Enjoy retirement! Sincerely someone you will probably never meet.
My Grandparents use to watch Wheel of Fortune every night when I was younger (they have since passed on). The show brought many happy memories to our family. Thank you Pat!
Pat since you been part of my life I taught myself how to speak and understand the world thanks to you I made life long friends and partners in crime lol thank you so much I made so many emotional memories with my family your awesome sir. Through cancer treatments and treatments for my Anxiety and Autism you have been there every step of the way. I miss you and love you Mr. Pat Sajak your always and forever part of my life.
wow he was truly the last of the "classic era" hosts still on the air. And even up to his last episode he still stayed sharp!! Hope you have a relaxing and fun retirement Pat ❤🎉
He did a fantastic job when Chuck Woolery stepped down. If I remember correctly, Chuck was wanting to spend more time with his family members especially his parents and besides he felt that he was getting burnt out.
I am at least glad that they left in the mention of *Chuck Woolery* in the opening segment - that was actually a nice gesture. Pat put his own spin on the show and kept it proper. There weren't any major scandals - and it was family-friendly even behind the scenes. There is an account here from Columbus, Ohio that was my first time seeing Pat and Vanna when they did a special week of shows at the Ohio State Fair before the syndicated version began in 1983. As a new third-grader, it was nice to see my favorite show at night! I had missed the transition in first and second grade lol.
Wow! The BIG WINNER got the Bonus Puzzle on Pat's last time on Wheel! How about that? I'm going to miss you Pat Sajak! I hope the new host will be as good as you were!
It’s been an honor to watch you for the past ten years. I moved to USA 15 years ago and found this show accidentally on TV. Became a big fan right after I watched the show. We will all miss you so much! Come visit Cooperstown sometimes, Pat! I know you love Baseball! ⚾️😊❤ And Thank you! ☺️🙏🏻
My grand parents immigrated to Canada from The Netherlands in the 50s and always said the WoF helped keep their English skills up when they didn't have company and watched it religiously until their deaths in 96 and 04. One of my favourite memories is solving a WoF puzzle before my Pake and Beppe (Friese for Grandpa and Grandma) did in when I was about 11 (1991). Millions of people have such a strong connexion to this show that cannot be explained in a simple message.
Oh Pat. The years of my childhood has memories of watching you on television. You and Alex Trebek. It’s been hard to watch Jeopardy without Alex. It’s gonna be hard watching ‘the wheel’ without you. But I have to Thank God for the years that we had both of you. Enjoy your retirement!

41 seasons, 8000 episodes.
What an adventure Pat Sajak.
Let’s just pray in hope he has brighter plans in the near future.
What a record! 😊
How about this pat's official episode count × 7XL ( that 40 in roman numerals) I bet he would have given away that
While he continues to work as a consultant, Pat even happens to star in a broadway show next year called "Prescription: Murder."
@@jennings861b8 I don't know he's a producer or something! 😊
43 and a half years if you count his taking over for Chuck Woolery on the daytime version.

@ClueFinder654 I remember that!! That was a lot of fun to watch both "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune" when they did that. 😂
Bob Barker, Alex Trebek, and now Pat Sajak are all off the air. End of a golden era.
A near century of escape and entertainment; an epoch of game show and television history.

I wasn't even born yet.
Yes, time has flown by. I agree.

My Father was 24 in 1981, now he is 67. I definitely agree with you!
Thanks for adding the full episode! We love and we'll miss you Pat!!
