No matter how many times I watch this.... I always tear up in this scene
A lvl 5 octopus kaiju felt the need to call for backup while fighting Striker that too in it's natural terrain showed how strong Striker Eureka was. Long live striker you were the best
At 1:55 that look of the jeager like he knows it's done
Kıvanç Peltek His name is Striker Eureka , Australian Jaeger MK5.
"I'm going down...
With a bang."
“Send me out, with a bang”
@@senorcheems8388 Now thats Sergeant Johnson's line from Halo 3. Now Im crying 😓😓😓
Looks like it's saying
"Ya'll going down with me"
So we are just ignoring that Gypsy survives not only a nuclear blast but then the entire weight of the fricking Pacific ocean crashing down on it. Those kaijus must hit damn hard if they can damage jaegers, but that can't.
I always saw how solid and deadly a fighter like Stack was. He comes across the biggest & strongest Kaiju known and he and herc's son carve it up like its just a walk in the park. Had this been on land, the fight would have been more one sided. Striker would have not even needed help.
can we just appreciate the wonderful score of this movie? Ramin Djawadi is one of the greatest movie composer of our time
It is pretty sad bc you know hansen will never see his son again but then Pentecost will never see his son ever again.
SAV1TAR Hansen(his dad) is both proud(for his selfless sacrifise) and sad(getting killed) of what happened to his son on one hand he was unable to reconcile there relationship as father and son(his son blames him for the death of his mom) 2nd no matter how his son hated him he was always there ready to assist him and to act as a father. After the death of Stacker P he replaced him after being promoted to Marshall of PPDC.
And mako
@@respnocza6953 Herc Hansen later died piloting Striker Eureka Solo in Australia. Rest in Peace.
@@ranaghast whaaat, I thought he resigns took another line of job???
@@ranggasaktibudiputra1547 It's in Pacific Rim the Black. Good Anime. (Correction on my part, it was Striker Berserker)
If you stop at 2:32 and look on Stacker face you can see that he didn't want to die...
2:12 like the military, a son who left his family to fight. Wait, it makes me sad that words 😢💙 striker eureka
The character development was real. The best Giant Robot movie ever.
Chuck and Stacker went out like legends.
R.I.P Stacker Pentecost
Man this movie's CGI is so good they should make another one... oh wait
We don’t talk about that one around here 😂
Nope they haven't made anything worthy after this great movie dropped.
Me: *watches Striker Eureka explode and thinking he killed 2 kaijus*
Also me: yay they both die
Slattern: *say sike right now*
To be fair, Slattern was gravely wounded by the blast and that’s why Gypsy was able to finish him off.
I solemly refuse to accept that the actual sequel to this masterpiece was the "Uprising". I resist to believe it exist! Ugghh!
2:53 Both Kaijus: WHAT THE S * BOOOM *
Slattern: PFFFFFFFFF
Sensei, aishiteimasu (I love you, teacher) it's like seeing your students graduating and saying thanks to you. And all of the memories that you share together with your students flash before your very eyes and then " *BOOM* " ! " *Kapoosh* " then " *Fires* ".
To die with sacrifice, honor and respect. Is there any other way? NO WAY!
We can literally see how heavy they are even underwater
It’s a big toll it takes to lose someone you raised as a child here is a strong man to listen to his son say goodbye
Mako's line hits me the hardest 先生 愛しています (I love you Sensei). Very formal, but full of truth and feeling. And the last thing Pentecost heard. I like to think he died happy knowing he was saving the world and that his daughter loves him.
As an Australian i’m so glad they made Striker the best yeager.
Pacific rim 1: I’m fighting for my life against giant monsters.
Pacific rim 2: haha power ranger go brrrr
I loved his character development. He became a noble jackass after everything.
1:53 must have forgotten he toke his helmet off
Christopher Cassidy a
maybe he put it back on and took it off again
No it was a movie mistake

Fun fact: the size of the nuke's explosion has been calculated at over 100 megatons, way more than 1.2 megatons stated earlier in the film!
Notice the fact tha slatter was injured...... And he survived an atomic bomb.... How strong he is???
@@Denis_Jumps didn’t the first few Kaiju take like 3 nukes each before they died?
It was calculated many times and even up to over 500 gigatons
So the russians lied about the nuclear bomb that they gave
@@Jacob-sy5xm
It was the Tsar Bomba in disguise
I really wish they made a sequel to this movie.
Yeah, movie needs a sequel, the fanmade one is horrible
@@SethAtSNKKnow you're joking but I unironically believe fans would be able to do better than the corporate overlords that have zero respect or passion for mecha and kaiju's.
This is the way I want to go. Piloting a giant robot and detonating a bomb for the salvation of mankind
I’m convinced that if the Cat 5 Kaiju didn’t call his buddy, Striker would’ve killed it
he was right if you get a chance take it also im crying
Does anyone realise that no matter how badly damaged the Jaegers or Kaiju are, they can still keep on fighting
They are a bunch of tough son-of-guns aren't they? lol
It's the pilot bro they're really tough as a nail.
Dude putting Australians in these Jagers just make the fight seem more real xd
2:50 “Teacher, I love you”
It's too bad we never got a sequel.
R.I.P STRIKER EUREKA
Yeah😔
The point difference in both the movies was that Pacific Rim was a Pacific Rim movie with a weightage in direction by proficient director like Mr. Guillermo Del Toro, character development, great cinematography, to the point human emotions, a great script, the feel of risks taken with a cost of sacrifice, heaviness in the monster and robot movements and everything else.
The sequel was just garbage D-grade movie with bad acting/ overacting from every actor especially Jon Boyega and Cailee Spaeny trying to please a chinese CGI crowd. Pathetic loss for a potential franchise.
Believe me, the Chinese definitely did not like seeing John Boyega if they watched it.
Don’t blame them, he’s a shyte actor.
What sequel? There is no sequel to this awesome movie 😏
how this ended it was sad and I was crying 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
you do know it a shot movie right?
I did too. I love Striker Eureka. He is cute
wrg, no sad or not
Same
Why are there always so many children on movie clip videos lol
*I'm always be here for you*
*YOU CAN ALWAYS FIND ME IN THE DRIFT*
You can tell humans went all out on Striker Eureka he was able to pressure a Category 5 without much difficulty in the span of 30 seconds it literally felt like it needed help immediately
Best sci fi movie in my opinion they just make everything perfect
the fact that slattern took a god damn nucler explosion at point blank and still survived and wasnt full health was god damn amazing, meanwhile the mega kaiju died to a superman style skydive kill
2:49 Mako: "愛してる先生" (I love you teacher)
Subtitle: i steam house.
I watched this film as a child. I LOVED EVERY GODDAMNED SECOND OF IT
we can clear a path for the lady-one of the best moments
“Clear the path for the ladies”
Me: oh god
For the lady (he is referring to gipsy)
@@Berenadre pretty sure he meant Mako but I don't know exactly. It would make more sense though since Mako was his daughter and Gypsy doesn't really have a lady look.
@@curb4393 I guess you can take it both ways and it will make sense.
She's basically his daughter's and they refer to gipsy as a she during the movie
Berenjena yeah I watched it again and saw how they referred to gypsy as a girl so both could make sense I guess
@@curb4393 the reason Gypsy is called she is because jaegers are ment to apprehend the kaijus at sea before they reach cities. Jaegers are sea faring machines which is common to refer to them as she
