Oof same though. Reading the key features list from 2 and 3 expansions actually hurt my heart when compared against Sims 4. I will say Sims 4 and 2 come with the best systems that can impact the game as a whole rather than just the expansion they came with. But apart from deep systems, 4 looks baaaaaaare
For me, i'm not someone who plays with "Supernatural" type Sims, but Sims 3 Supernatural... CHEFS KISS. Coming to Sims 3 in general, I find all of the EP's to be splendid in their own way and packed with TONS of things to do. I can honestly say I don't hate any of them, however I do have the least experience with Showtime, as well as the least interest in it. I have all the EP's but there's so much to explore! As you and others say, Ambitions is pretty highly praised, I was thinking of giving some of the active careers a try in my gameplay soon!
the sims 3 expansions were so detailed, i played the sims 3 probably almost everyday from 2009-2014, and still play it now, and there are still so many features i haven't fully gone into yet, it's so so detailed and incredible. supernatural is one of the coolest ones imo
I have to agree on cats and dogs. The playability of it is just not there. It’s so flat, animals are so needy and time consuming. I wish they had made animals like toddlers. That you can control them to a point but there are still things your sims has to train them to do as well as do for them.

Abby Gold I love doggos too, currently have 6 rescues in my house. But for game play because sims take forever to do everything it’s hard to have them in a busy house. My current house hold has two adult sims one with a job one in uni, a child who is also in scouts and a toddler. I couldn’t imagine throwing a car or dog in the mix who needs feeding bathing and vet trips too.
World Adventures has more content than literally any other Sims 1-2-3-4 expansions. It has 3 HUUUUUGE worlds with massive puzzles and dozens and dozens of hours of mysteries and adventures in each of the worlds so that's really unfair. Objectively speaking it's the best pack because it's the one with the most content by far. The fact that you say Ambitions (another fantastic pack for sure) showed the open world's capabilities at its best for the first time is just sooo wrong when World Adventures and Egypt, China and France exist.
yeah I agree but what makes a pack the best isn’t the amount of content, it’s the quality of content. A lot of people don’t like the aspect of going to different places and exploring, some people like a family life.
Definitely true, I remember when I was little I played hours and hours on end trying to finish up the puzzles and never could, there's just so much content, it made sims feel almost like an entirely different game haha

World Adventures is an incredibly high quality AND high quantity content whether you're interested in it or not. It's a fact, not an opinion. You can say "I don't care" for it and that's fine but it's a top tier pack regardless.
I liked Vacations and Bon Voyage because they were family oriented packs. World Adventures, on the other hand, were single Sim oriented pack and if that's not enough, it did not offer any content for teens and younger. On top of that, it's RPG story telling, since the story is just the same every time you play that world and that's something that should have no place in sandbox game Sims 3 is supposed to be. And that's why, in my opinion, World Adventures is the worst Sims 3 EP.
TS3 World Adventures had France and I was really into anything French at that time, also the tombs and traps was something I loved playing around with.
To me the Bon Voyage expansion was one of the bests expasions ever made, definetly the one I play the most! I love the hotel system (like, JUST taking vacations instead of those weird things that we had to do with Sims 3 and Sims 4), the ability of purchasing vacation houses (YEAH, not renting e_e), the possibility to arrange the honeymoon before the wedding, so as soon as the wedding was over the car would pick you up to the airport, and, of course, I just LOVE the photo albums that you could order after the vacation.
Open for business will forever be my fave bc of HOME BUSINESSES. I had one family be really into gardening and outdoors so they had a family flower shop in their house, had one family live above their bakery in a beautiful Tudor house, and had so many have businesses on other lots depending on their interests. So many possibilities!
I take personal offence at how low Sims 3 world adventure and showtime are 😂😂😂... Come on.. they were good and came with sooooo much gameplay (yes, that's shade to the Sims 4 ☕)
Naaaaaah showtime was boring af. I loved the careers like one time over and then they just got repetitive and I felt like most of the items were so relatable to that pack and didn't mix too well with others. So it's down there for me
Idk, maybe it's being a performer in the Sims that I enjoy.. I also love get famous which can also get quite repetitive. But I remember making soooo many singers on the Sims 3 😅... And also a James Bond who married an Asian girl on one of his many trips.

I love World Adventures the most because of all the tombs and quests! I still play it again and again and I love the dangers in the tombs and the challenges when you actually have to think of how to complete the quests! Supernatural was also amazing because of how huge it was.
I'm here on Bon Voyage's behalf, I can't let that beautiful pack go out like this. That AMAZING pack had THREE different vacations worlds, each with it's own distinct theme. Even if you had to sell your window to get a bookshelf, there is still a campsite you could stay at because there were tons of locations in each world for every price point! Not to mention rich sims could buy a whole ass property in a vacation world and bop back and forth whenever they wanted, leaving something real valuable for their offspring.
Totally agree with your TS4 ranking except for Cats and Dogs. I would rank Cats and Dogs higher because Brindleton is my favourite world other than Windenburg.
Loved this! As someone who has only played Sims 3 and 4 it was interesting to see how the older packs compared in a veteran's opinion. I know it would be a even huger undertaking, but I would love to watch you tier rank all the Stuff Packs too
Sims 1 Superstar is the most memorable for me. My late mom liked to watch me play it when I was younger. I remember whenever she'd laugh whenever I made a Sim make a music video.

To me there just wasn't much to do. I did use it a lot as a kid but there's a couple of activities and that's it. Definitely didn't add as much as a lot of the other expansions for Sims 1

Bon Voyage was the best vacation pack IMO. I loved takemizu village and three lakes. Becoming a ninja and meeting bigfoot was amazing. I wish we had that in the sims 4 too, instead of weirdos in bear costumes. PS: According to your ranking, Sims 2 was the best when it came to expansions. 6 of them being on top tiers and only 1 expansion going to the bottom tier... Coolio. I believe you're being too nice with the Sims 4 expansions but I'll digest.
I would love to see u design some expansion packs idea and do a video for them . So start with generic ideas - education,pets,supernatural,careers, families , famousnnes or holidays .Then pair them with main game play features and art style .

I agreed with you on all the sims 1, for sure. I agree with some that you should revisit sims 3 world adventures, that pack really stood out for me. The dungeons were so fun and actually challenging when you got to the harder ones. There was one in France that I could never complete. I really liked sims 2 university life and I dont think I’ve played sims 3 university in a long time so I don’t remember it. Great video, thanks for your input!!

Especially as it’s clear what style of game you like to play - I love all the holiday packs and also into the future was one of my favourite sims 3 packs!! but I am not a big fan of get together so quite different. but I loved seeing you try and organise all this! ❤️
I actually would've put SIms 4 Get to work in the Rosebud/Motherlode ranking. I love the active careers (I prefer them over the work from home careers that were introduced in CL) and the more industrial build&buy. Also the aliens are freaking cute. I agree that it can get a little repetitive, especially for someone who plays the game a lot, but I always find myself playing with some part of it the same with GT and CL (also photographing was introduced in it). Will you be doing a same video with game packs and stuff packs? I would love to see it if you do, even if they are longer.
I grew up playing tons of sims 3 so it just has a special place in my heart 😂 in my opinion Late Night and Island Paradise are my favorite, even despite their flaws. And of course Generations and Seasons are must haves too 👌🏼
I can only speak for Sims 4 since that's only one I played. I'd rank some of the packs differently, especially Cats and Dogs. I don't play with pets often, but each time I did, I mourned their loss as much as I do any of my Sims. And that says something. I like that they have personalities, and that they're not playable. Which makes them feel like a real pet. I will never forget the first pet I had in my game. She was a stray one of my bois couldn't resist adopting. Kishri was an awesome dog! She had Active, Troublemaker and Sleuth. The impact she had on my Sim changed my entire story: her Active trait got him out of the house and kept him fit. Keeping her out of trouble taught him to be responsible and resulted in him actually having a family eventually. She was supposed to be the family dog...but ultimately she was never anyone else's dog but Kia's. Anyway, the point of this little story is to say that just because one doesn't play with a pack a lot, it isn't great. I think I've only had one other family who had a pet, but each time I add one, I feel they really add a lot. Island Living also had a special place in my heart but I'll refrain from telling long stories about that. :D
Keep in mind that most of these are coming from my memories of playing the game, reading key features and what I've been playing recently in 2. Things are always gonna be different depending on how you play the game
Island Paradise made Sims 3 unplayable! My game froze all the time after installing it... even if I played on another map! Only expansion that I stopped using, always unclicked it at the sims 3 startup screen. If it actually worked, it would have been cool, really cool. I guess your computer was much better than mine.
So let me advise you to a no lag gameplay experience. 1- Install Isla Paradiso Fix from Modthesims.com 2-Install nraas Overwatch, errortrap, master controller You can also try these, but it isnt a must 3-Use cheat to discover uncharted islands 4-Remove houseboats 5-Delete scott and collins family I have done all the points except 3 and I have no lag
I liked: Sims: Hot Date, and vacation. Sims 2: Seasons, Pets, and Mansion and Garden Stuff. Sims 3: Seasons, Pets, Katy Perry Sweet Treats, and Supernatural. Sims 4: Get to work, Dine Out, Seasons, and Parenthood.
I've played all the sims games and I can hand's down say TS3 World Adventures was the best expansion pack not just for the sims 3, but of any sims game ever. the scope and depth of that expansion is unlike anything that came before or since 3 huge open worlds to explore, each very unique and well-executed, not to mention the endless quests and activities you could do. I also really enjoyed how you could purchase a vacation home in any of the worlds when you had enough passport points overall it was simply amazing
As soon as you said Sims 3 University was easier I absolutely gooped. I think that the sims 3 university is the hardest of the three university packs. I found it so difficult because my meter always depleted so quickly whereas in Sims 2 once you got it, it stayed there
Ts3 university life always had a glitch for me where my sims school performance would constantly go down unless they were in class or studying so they basically started failing every time they ate or showered or slept, much less went to a party lol. I feel like I missed out
It's been so long since I've played Sims 1 and 2 that I really can't rank them as I don't remember much about them (plus I never owned all the expansions for either). But as for Sims 3 and 4 this is how I would rank them (according to how much I enjoyed them): 1 World Adventures, Seasons (3), Get Together, Seasons (4), 2 Supernatural, City Living, Island Living, 3 Ambitions, Generations, Island Paradise, Into The Future, Discover University 4 Late Night, University, Get To Work, Cats and Dogs, 5 Showtime, Get Famous,
Oh. My. God. The Open For Business was the only pack I ever played with in TS2!!! I always had a store in my house....it is what I think of when I think about TS2. That was my pack

Get To Work imo is the worst expansion pack they ever put out. It's disgusting how little content it has. Especially compared to it's predecessor, Ambitions. They should really lower it's price since it's the first pack too. And get together is just so overrated because a lot of people just love it because of the neighborhood it adds and well a decent new world should be the bare minimum of whats expected from packs. They don't deserve extra praise for making a town. The fact that the towns they added in a lot ofthe sims 4 packs sucked just shows how bad things are. And honestly what else does it have? Clubs? Tragic. Imo all sims 4 packs deserve to be at the bottom while a couple like seasons and university can be at grim or crumplebottom. City Living is grim I suppose. Nah I take that back, they literally took out the fame system and reintroduced it another pack. Same with vampires. Sure both features were expanded upon but they asked for 40 and 20 bucks respectively. To the bottom it goes.
i’m sorry but putting Get Together and City Living next to packs like Generations, Living Large, Island Paradise, and Night Life is just disrespectful. Not one Sims 4 expansion pack could even touch The Sims 2 and 3 expansions packs, let alone Get Together and City Living.

I was less so comparing 1 2 3 and 4's pack against each other, unless they had a straight up running theme, such as pets or holidays. And rather ranking them individually as their own games which is why I did it in order of release. City Living and Get Together are personally my faves for 4 because I use the features in almost every save, more so than any other expansions. I never said they compared against a pack like generations or Island Paradise

This is just my own personal opinion (and people are going to hate me for it) I never got on board for the Sims 4 as a whole. So many people say it's boring so I can't say much about them. I am also not into the occults so I never played Makin' Magic or Supernatural. I agree though that The Sims 3 Generations and Seasons are by far the best in the Sims 3. Never play the Sims 3 without them.
Everytime I watch one of your videos I have to turn the speed up to at least 1.50 because each word you say takes eighty four years. 😆 And even at that speed, sometimes I'm shocked at how spaced out your words are 😆
for me I would put get together at the tragic clown level, it's the pack I use the least, and besides the furniture I don't use the pack at all. All the good lots are always full, the clubs are really flimsy to me and I just wish it had more content besides 'oh yeah you can make a club', and I agree with you a ton on cats and dogs. I can't use brindleton bay much mostly because it breaks my heart to see the stray pets walking around. Seasons the only gripe I have with it is that the holidays can be annoying for me but again that's just me. Get famous is a little higher for me, I love the money vault thing and the pod thing, as well as the streaming thing and the system for the fame too. Overall, Island living is a let down for me too. I like the world and I use the world a lot, but the mermaids were like the worst. I have a mod for the mermaids though. Discover university was a really good one for me, but I will say that it isn't a top because from that pack on, any old computer of mine (I had to upgrade mine because I couldn't play it) won't be able to play it AND I have to have the legacy edition on the older ones. (I hate the legacy edition btw)
"All the good lots are always full" What does this means? You know you have the option to bulldoze lots and/or evict Sims? "More content" It has the most content out of any pack in TS4 tho lol. Tons of new activities got added in order to serve and flesh out the club system which is super flexible and customizable. Also you whine about the pack even though you don't use it????? Makes zero sense
been playing with ts2 and i agree bon voyage isn't great, it was my first time playing with this ep (when i was a kid it was mostly the bg for me) and i was a bit disappointed lol
but WA is fun!! i loved playing with it in ts3, i loved travelling so much and the gameplay itself was repetitive, but the worlds were so fun and i loved the builds
I definately dont agree with the Vacation soundtrack being the most iconic in the Sims 1 era. That one goes to the base game buy mode. And for me Hot Date as a second.
OPEN FOR BUSINESS is Grim ???? This is Blasphemy like that’s arguably one of the best packs ever made in the sims franchise , like the amount of gameplay it offered is just insane , even TS3 doesn’t have a retail pack which is is really sad , lthe retail system in Open for Business is perfection itself
It really didn't expand upon the sims lives... it was mostly just go alone to a neighborhood, use some objects(for some fame points and ridiculous amounts of cash)... then return home... Also there was really no reason to visit Studio Town as a tourist, plus no kids could go there! And... boy... hardly any variety for the stars while they used the fame objects either, example, the acting-based objects...
World Adventures is one of least interesting packs in the series to me for a very simple reason: it's about adventure and exploration, in a very literal way. I actually love exploration, but when I'm looking for it I just go and play a game about this, wich there are TONS. I feel like every time they release something like that in the sims is just very mediocre compared to any game focused around that and end up being a waste of time and money. Also, I love vacations and I think WA makes a poor job at it since it's not it's focus, and the travelling loading screen takes literally 40 min in my pc, wich is above the recommended specs and has no CC.
This just reminded me of how much impact and vibrancy expansions used to have before the sims 4..

useless magic lucky 😔 I have a good pc that can handle sims 3 but the camera is so laggy even though I get 200fps lmao 😔

Bon Voyage was the best vacation pack IMO. I loved takemizu village and three lakes. Becoming a ninja and meeting bigfoot was amazing. I wish we had that in the sims 4 too, instead of weirdos in bear costumes.
PS: According to your ranking, Sims 2 was the best when it came to expansions. 6 of them being on top tiers and only 1 expansion going to the bottom tier... Coolio.

I agreed with you on all the sims 1, for sure. I agree with some that you should revisit sims 3 world adventures, that pack really stood out for me. The dungeons were so fun and actually challenging when you got to the harder ones. There was one in France that I could never complete. I really liked sims 2 university life and I dont think I’ve played sims 3 university in a long time so I don’t remember it. Great video, thanks for your input!!

I actually would've put SIms 4 Get to work in the Rosebud/Motherlode ranking. I love the active careers (I prefer them over the work from home careers that were introduced in CL) and the more industrial build&buy. Also the aliens are freaking cute. I agree that it can get a little repetitive, especially for someone who plays the game a lot, but I always find myself playing with some part of it the same with GT and CL (also photographing was introduced in it). Will you be doing a same video with game packs and stuff packs? I would love to see it if you do, even if they are longer.

I grew up playing tons of sims 3 so it just has a special place in my heart 😂 in my opinion Late Night and Island Paradise are my favorite, even despite their flaws. And of course Generations and Seasons are must haves too 👌🏼

I can only speak for Sims 4 since that's only one I played. I'd rank some of the packs differently, especially Cats and Dogs. I don't play with pets often, but each time I did, I mourned their loss as much as I do any of my Sims. And that says something. I like that they have personalities, and that they're not playable. Which makes them feel like a real pet. I will never forget the first pet I had in my game. She was a stray one of my bois couldn't resist adopting. Kishri was an awesome dog! She had Active, Troublemaker and Sleuth. The impact she had on my Sim changed my entire story: her Active trait got him out of the house and kept him fit. Keeping her out of trouble taught him to be responsible and resulted in him actually having a family eventually. She was supposed to be the family dog...but ultimately she was never anyone else's dog but Kia's. Anyway, the point of this little story is to say that just because one doesn't play with a pack a lot, it isn't great. I think I've only had one other family who had a pet, but each time I add one, I feel they really add a lot. Island Living also had a special place in my heart but I'll refrain from telling long stories about that. :D

Unpopular opinion "Get Famous" is my favourite Sims 4 pack
Island Paradise made Sims 3 unplayable! My game froze all the time after installing it... even if I played on another map! Only expansion that I stopped using, always unclicked it at the sims 3 startup screen.
If it actually worked, it would have been cool, really cool. I guess your computer was much better than mine.
So let me advise you to a no lag gameplay experience.
1- Install Isla Paradiso Fix from Modthesims.com
2-Install nraas Overwatch, errortrap, master controller
You can also try these, but it isnt a must
3-Use cheat to discover uncharted islands
4-Remove houseboats
5-Delete scott and collins family
I have done all the points except 3 and I have no lag
I liked: Sims: Hot Date, and vacation. Sims 2: Seasons, Pets, and Mansion and Garden Stuff. Sims 3: Seasons, Pets, Katy Perry Sweet Treats, and Supernatural. Sims 4: Get to work, Dine Out, Seasons, and Parenthood.
I've played all the sims games and I can hand's down say TS3 World Adventures was the best expansion pack not just for the sims 3, but of any sims game ever.
the scope and depth of that expansion is unlike anything that came before or since
3 huge open worlds to explore, each very unique and well-executed, not to mention the endless quests and activities you could do.
I also really enjoyed how you could purchase a vacation home in any of the worlds when you had enough passport points

As soon as you said Sims 3 University was easier I absolutely gooped. I think that the sims 3 university is the hardest of the three university packs. I found it so difficult because my meter always depleted so quickly whereas in Sims 2 once you got it, it stayed there
Ts3 university life always had a glitch for me where my sims school performance would constantly go down unless they were in class or studying so they basically started failing every time they ate or showered or slept, much less went to a party lol. I feel like I missed out
omg i didn’t know the nightlife expansion pack introduced the chemistry system into the sims 2! i thought it always had it, for some reason lol
It's been so long since I've played Sims 1 and 2 that I really can't rank them as I don't remember much about them (plus I never owned all the expansions for either). But as for Sims 3 and 4 this is how I would rank them (according to how much I enjoyed them):
1 World Adventures, Seasons (3), Get Together, Seasons (4),
2 Supernatural, City Living, Island Living,
3 Ambitions, Generations, Island Paradise, Into The Future, Discover University
4 Late Night, University, Get To Work, Cats and Dogs,
5 Showtime, Get Famous,
Oh. My. God. The Open For Business was the only pack I ever played with in TS2!!! I always had a store in my house....it is what I think of when I think about TS2. That was my pack

Get To Work imo is the worst expansion pack they ever put out. It's disgusting how little content it has. Especially compared to it's predecessor, Ambitions. They should really lower it's price since it's the first pack too. And get together is just so overrated because a lot of people just love it because of the neighborhood it adds and well a decent new world should be the bare minimum of whats expected from packs. They don't deserve extra praise for making a town. The fact that the towns they added in a lot ofthe sims 4 packs sucked just shows how bad things are. And honestly what else does it have? Clubs? Tragic. Imo all sims 4 packs deserve to be at the bottom while a couple like seasons and university can be at grim or crumplebottom. City Living is grim I suppose. Nah I take that back, they literally took out the fame system and reintroduced it another pack. Same with vampires. Sure both features were expanded upon but they asked for 40 and 20 bucks respectively. To the bottom it goes.

i’m sorry but putting Get Together and City Living next to packs like Generations, Living Large, Island Paradise, and Night Life is just disrespectful. Not one Sims 4 expansion pack could even touch The Sims 2 and 3 expansions packs, let alone Get Together and City Living.
get together was an amazing expansion and island paradise was barely functional for a lot of players.

I was less so comparing 1 2 3 and 4's pack against each other, unless they had a straight up running theme, such as pets or holidays. And rather ranking them individually as their own games which is why I did it in order of release. City Living and Get Together are personally my faves for 4 because I use the features in almost every save, more so than any other expansions. I never said they compared against a pack like generations or Island Paradise
What about the Sims Roaring Heights? Wasn’t there a Sims game where you had the ability to visit a theme park and go on rides?

This is just my own personal opinion (and people are going to hate me for it) I never got on board for the Sims 4 as a whole. So many people say it's boring so I can't say much about them. I am also not into the occults so I never played Makin' Magic or Supernatural. I agree though that The Sims 3 Generations and Seasons are by far the best in the Sims 3. Never play the Sims 3 without them.
Everytime I watch one of your videos I have to turn the speed up to at least 1.50 because each word you say takes eighty four years. 😆 And even at that speed, sometimes I'm shocked at how spaced out your words are 😆

Play the Sims 1 to 3 and you'll quickly see and understand how much cars add to the immersion aspect. Don't let the laziness of the sims 4 color that.
for me I would put get together at the tragic clown level, it's the pack I use the least, and besides the furniture I don't use the pack at all. All the good lots are always full, the clubs are really flimsy to me and I just wish it had more content besides 'oh yeah you can make a club', and I agree with you a ton on cats and dogs. I can't use brindleton bay much mostly because it breaks my heart to see the stray pets walking around. Seasons the only gripe I have with it is that the holidays can be annoying for me but again that's just me. Get famous is a little higher for me, I love the money vault thing and the pod thing, as well as the streaming thing and the system for the fame too. Overall, Island living is a let down for me too. I like the world and I use the world a lot, but the mermaids were like the worst. I have a mod for the mermaids though. Discover university was a really good one for me, but I will say that it isn't a top because from that pack on, any old computer of mine (I had to upgrade mine because I couldn't play it) won't be able to play it AND I have to have the legacy edition on the older ones. (I hate the legacy edition btw)
"All the good lots are always full" What does this means? You know you have the option to bulldoze lots and/or evict Sims? "More content" It has the most content out of any pack in TS4 tho lol. Tons of new activities got added in order to serve and flesh out the club system which is super flexible and customizable. Also you whine about the pack even though you don't use it????? Makes zero sense
been playing with ts2 and i agree bon voyage isn't great, it was my first time playing with this ep (when i was a kid it was mostly the bg for me) and i was a bit disappointed lol
but WA is fun!! i loved playing with it in ts3, i loved travelling so much and the gameplay itself was repetitive, but the worlds were so fun and i loved the builds
sims 4 university to me seems way easier than sims 3, but maybe I haven't played it enough

I definately dont agree with the Vacation soundtrack being the most iconic in the Sims 1 era. That one goes to the base game buy mode. And for me Hot Date as a second.

This is Blasphemy like that’s arguably one of the best packs ever made in the sims franchise , like the amount of gameplay it offered is just insane , even TS3 doesn’t have a retail pack which is is really sad , lthe retail system in Open for Business is perfection itself

It really didn't expand upon the sims lives... it was mostly just go alone to a neighborhood, use some objects(for some fame points and ridiculous amounts of cash)... then return home...
Also there was really no reason to visit Studio Town as a tourist, plus no kids could go there!
And... boy... hardly any variety for the stars while they used the fame objects either, example, the acting-based objects...

World Adventures is one of least interesting packs in the series to me for a very simple reason: it's about adventure and exploration, in a very literal way. I actually love exploration, but when I'm looking for it I just go and play a game about this, wich there are TONS. I feel like every time they release something like that in the sims is just very mediocre compared to any game focused around that and end up being a waste of time and money. Also, I love vacations and I think WA makes a poor job at it since it's not it's focus, and the travelling loading screen takes literally 40 min in my pc, wich is above the recommended specs and has no CC.
Unpopular opinion: For me, Discover University is in the Grim category.
