I don't know why I never tie these Barry, they look great! So when you tie the post down, then pull it, that should let it slide through the knot and bunch up the hackle wraps??? I think I finally get it!! I'm not sloooowwww at all!
Nice tie! Careful with Mustad hooks, been hearing and experienced a few bent out hooks that have lost my friends and I some big fish. Another good pattern like this is the" missing link" dry fly
Fantastic. I enjoy your video's so much. The flies are very well tied and always look great. I am not as good a tier as you are. Much more practice will improve my skills and I am hopeful I will get as good a tier as you are. It is a reach but I will try. I'm wondering where I could find the gallows tool for the Petitjean vise. I have checked several retailers that I do business with. Nothing so far. Thanks for sharing, All the best, Sean

So Gods do settle for less than perfection!
Ha!
Outstanding pattern fella. First class and that trick with the yarn is smashing, thanks for posting this pal.
Very nice Barry, one of my favorite patterns, works so good almost every time.
I love paraloop emergers... Looks like I have a new pattern to add to the box! great tie!
Beatiful Barry - i like those flys
Thanks Andy.

Thanks J, Been tying with Mustad hooks for 25 years and not had a problem yet! I'll check out the missing link I don't know that.
Really nice tying, as always! But for those of us who don't have a gallows attachment it's a challenge, if not impossible.
Thanks, yes without a gallon tool it takes practice.
@@Thefeatherbender I actually found a video from Davie McPhail demonstrating a tech without a gallows and although still tricky works quite well.
