Oberheim Xpander Single Sounds Demo

- A bunch of Oberheim Xpander presets, recorded straight without FX. You are hearing the raw mono sound coming from the synth. Recorded and arranged in Logic Pro.
Note the depth and dimension of the raw sound. Sounds almost like it had reverb on it. How did they achieve that?

I love your comment about sounding like it has reverb, that's exactly how i used to describe it to people back in the 80's when demonstrating the synth.
One of my favourite synths of all time, ...and i desperately need to get mine repaired as well.

Of course I would love a 12, but the 6 voices works great for me. This and my Andy get the most love in my studio, also funny enough my Korg EX8000...cheap but great sounding .

My man TNoise has an Xpander? Wowwww, come on Behringer make one. Vince Clarke said in an interview that this is a modular synth inside
it is indeed! in 1984 this was a very futuristic concept. I don't have it anymore though.
Tom, this shows off the Xpander in such an impressive way. I’m a recent owner and wondered if there was any chance you would be willing to share (or sell) patches? I’d be happy to exchange! Got one myself. It’s so cold. Works really good for Terminator or Twin Peaks stuff.

@@benjaminchising6146 Yes, send both to me and i take care of them ;-) Naa, seriously: What doesn't work exactly? No tone at all or just double triggers or missing notes? Just in case, check the switches for Sequencer, Arpeggiator and Mode/Drone. These should all be turned off to check if it works.
Great demo here, I just wondered, does the xpander do filter fm? IIRC it did but I’d love to hear what it sounds like. Thanks
