In this video, Professor John Ahr of the Online Jewelry Academy demonstrates how to use form foldforming techniques to make a beautiful snowflake ornament. These foldformed shapes will look great on your Christmas tree or on a door wreath.
This simple project, suitable for beginners, is an extension of one of the OJA's most popular tutorials on formfolded copper. In this video, however, Prof. Ahr uses pre-annealed copper craft foil to make the copper icicles. You can find this type of foil at most craft and hobby stores.
In other videos on the OJA playlist you can learn how to add color and interest to your copper snowflake ornaments. Plus, there are a number of videos that show you how to make other shapes and styles of holiday ornaments. Many of these projects can easily be adapted to serve your specific decor needs.

Sorry for the delay in responding. The gauge on the ornaments can be anywhere from 22 gauge to a much lighter foil-like gauge in the low 30s. The thinner the metal, the lighter it will be on the tree or on your ear. But, a thin gauge will make them easy to bend. Experiment and have fun making them.
      Thanks for watching! : )
