- Drivers and Owners of Ambulance on July 10 spoke against the formation of the Nagaland Ambulance Association. The drivers and owners informed that they had no knowledge of the NAA and also alleged that the formation was done without any consultations with them. It has come to the notice that a few people have formed Nagaland Ambulance Association and taken self-styled designation in the Association where Meren Yaden is the President. Owners interacting with NLTV said that the unelected candidates doesn't have a single ambulance and the other ambulance owners from overall districts didn't knew about it; so, after the formation of Association all the ambulance owners and drivers are being notified to register with an amount of 2000 and also to get stickers & Uniform from the Association. Owners have expressed their grievances over the dominion attitude and the intention to do business by individuals whom they don’t recognize as the rightful President or GS. Also, the Association was formed without any consultation/ meeting and most importantly the owners and drivers are against the formation of the Association

Ambulance is one service where we the people as consumers rely during times of emergency, death, sickness. If President is saying service is not allowed to go from one place to another then what will happen if any of our relative or family member pass away from another town during treatment or any such matter? I think President should come and give clarification why that particular association was formed. We need to know his side of story too.
