ALLEGED MONOPOLY OF RICE DISTRIBUTION FOUND AT PDS DIPHUPAR-B VILLAGE

- Nagaland TV on August 17 visited the Public Distribution System (PDS) of Diphupar - B Village. During the visit it was found out that only 4 kilos of rice was given to BPL card holders instead of 5 Kilos per head as per the terms of Directorate of Food and Civil Supplies, Nagaland. NLTV caught this particular PDS located at Diphupar - B village red handed in monopolizing BPL rice distribution and shockingly the PDS was operated by the Council Members. The village has around 800+ beneficiaries registered under BPL and the total requirement of rice is 180 quintals. While interacting with the village Chairman he said that the resolution was passed by the council at their annual general meeting but interacting with many beneficiaries they mentioned that the decision was taken by a few members without informing the villagers

Finally Thank you NLTV for checking out to Diphupar villages, its a fact that the council of Diphupar are ruling so unfair to the public ,this should be taken a strict action.
If there are no transportation charges sanctioned, then it's the duty of the council members to raise the issue to the concern department rather than making their own resolution.

Seriously 182 quintals or 182bags... Because 1quintal is 100kg which is 2 bags of rice which is 182x100=18200kg and they are saying it's not enough to distribute to 800+ beneficiaries??? And even if it's 182bags 182x50=9100kg.
Even for 1000 beneficiaries 60quintals is enough even if it's only 45kg per bag!!! The department needs to look into this matter ASAP
All over India, i guess Dipubhar 'B' Dimapur is the only place where KGs of rice is detucted to cover up vehicle fare.
To the Village council members of DIPUBHAR 'B', come to my place at MON district. Where My village is economically very backward but in terms of public ration distributions, every benifeciaries get what they deserve to get.
My suggestion to the DIPUBHAR 'B' Village council, you can learn from us.

I'm from Diphupar-B and it seems every colony is getting 5kg per person but Diphupar B is the only colony who we get only 4kg and charged money for that too and last time when I went for taking the ration my rice bag got torn and when I asked them for extra rice bag they even charged money for the rice bag 20rs per rice bag 💔😔 For real

This type of people is called day light robbery, whether it's chairman or council they don't have a penny right to cut off 1kg per head PDS rice is allocated to public from central government not even state government. The justification point of views of Village authority can be patiently heard and then any lapses can be put forward to the public domain. Surely the authorities may also have some grievances while delivering the goods to beneficiaries who are getting things for free.
