The Extended Cut of the movie is better than the original theatrical version, giving us an alternative opening that has us flung back in time to get Cretaceous Period, 65 million years ago, where Rexy gets into a fight with a Giganotosaurus, but loses. 65 Million Years Later, Rexy is being chased by a helicopter from the National Wildlife Reserve. Rexy runs into a drive-in movie, scaring away the patrons. They try to hit Rexy with a tranquilizer, but misses. The guy with tranq says, "I don't see her! Do you see her!? Where did she go!?" The pilot says to him, "Relax kid, she's not gonna run forever." This sets off the events of JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION.
To answer your question around the 2:00 min mark, it was due to the auction at Lockwood mansion. Some of the dinosaurs were shown being placed in cargo containers and driven off the property 🚛 sold to international buyers before Chris Pratt and his hard headed friend crashed their party. There was was also a juvenile Allosaurus being transported during Malcom’s monologue at the very end. Suffice to say, people from all over the world now had access to Ingens dinosaurs which also could reproduce by themselves (like Blue) + the black market exploded with Dino trafficking. Rival genetic companies wanted to clone and compete in the marketplace. That’s why Dr. Wu didn’t want to sell the Indoraptor as it was a prototype and he knew other genetic corporations would want it’s genetic DNA makeup in order to make their own version. As with any new product, companies constantly compete with each other to see who could get their product on the market first. Hope this helps!
@@JurassicCarnage Yes. Several individuals have been saved and sold, as well as their DNA. Just one DNA sample is capable of creating dozens of Dinosaurs, if you have the right laboratory. And bearing in mind that the people who bought the DNA samples were wealthy, it's not surprising that there are several Dinosaurs around the world. Illegal traffickers also create several Dinosaur "Farms". And dinosaurs have Accelerated Growth genes and hormones, in a matter of weeks/months they are already adults I commented on this because there were a lot of people who didn't understand how some of the dinosaurs that escaped from Lockwood Manor made it to the whole world.
Since no one recommended you to watch the extended cut, I’d recommend watching the first 5 minutes of the original, it’s so good and adds to the final battle
Jurassic World: Dominion proved to be critic proof at the box office. Despite a largely negative reception, it still became the 3rd movie released since the pandemic to hit the $1 billion milestone, $1.004 billion to be exact, and the 3rd-highest-grossing film of 2022.
14:20 as a Maltese i walk those streets on a daily. I was so happy to see my childhood franchise finally have one of its movies filmed there 😊. Love your reactions.❤
It's the same Dodgson from the original Jurassic Park. His company, BioSyn was InGen's competitor, which is why he wanted Nedry to steal the embryos from Jurassic Park.
I was prepared not to like this movie, but I really enjoyed what they did with Wu and his character. Him carrying guilt and seeking atonement for continually stepping over the lines throughout the series was an unexpected bow on his character arc. I also really liked how fallible they made Dodson, similar to Hammond albeit more on the greedy capitalistic side, I'm glad they resisted the temptation to make him cartoonishly evil and kept him more grounded in the reality of a rich guy ignoring safety in the name of spectacle/profit
totally agree, I liked those aspects of the movie but other things fell flat for me. thats why i said it was alright , had some good things and bad things
19:52 Giganotosaurus Carolinii "Giant Southron Lizard" was one of the largest Theropod Dinosaurs it was top predator of South America, while Tyrannosurus Rex was the top predator of North America but both Dinosaurs could never interacted with each other because not only did they lived on different continents but also lived in different time periods of the Cretaceous literally millions of years apart.
With both actors saying they were open to returning to the franchise, I’m disappointed they never found a way to bring back Tim & Lex especially for the reunion with the other legacy cast 😪
Fun Fact: Other 2 Rexes that met the original at the end of the movie is the couple from The Lost World, the baby most likely grew and disappeared somewhere in the wild.
The Pterodactyl that took down their plane is a Quetzalcoatlus.. its one of the biggest dinosaurs known, and its named after an Aztec God known as a feathered serpent.. it stands around 20ft tall, (a little more than a 2 story house), and has a wingspan of around 36ft, (around the length of a 4 story building) I remember learning about it when i was probably around 8yo, and seeing the size comparison to a human was wild to me
The Chips in the dinosaur their heads are also explained in the camp cretaceous and also how he got the first Dinosaur DNA from the can from Jurassic Park one.
Fun Fact: The createure that attacked Dr Grant was a Dimetrodon, which is not a Dinosaur, but a relative of Mammals. So, we(humans) are more closely related to the Dimetrodon, than any Dinosaur, Bird or Crocodile
Red was the one that was tricked into the cage, Tiger was the one that close blind, Panthera was the orange with cream colored raptor that tripped up while chasing the plane, and then Ghost the Alpha, the white with red eyes. I was gonna say the genders but it seems to keep changing.
yeah in the last movie but i figured they weren't ever shipped because the auction got ruined, i said it early in this video before they touched on the black market
Remember Matty, those European guys bought some of them during that auction & booked it. Now, they didn't buy as many as ends up over there in this movie mind you, at least not on screen. But it does show trucks taking off with some of them at the end of 'Fallen Kingdom' so that's how at least some of them got overseas..
The people that bought the Dinosaurs created lots of them so there are lots in the world now. You need to watch the extended version because the added scenes are so good and explain more
Not gonna lie I did enjoy this movie a lot but I don't think it was the best out of the trilogy. And it felt like Chris Pratt wasn't in the film as much as he was on the other 2. Great reaction my guy!
20:25 Interestingly those things, Dimetrodons, aren't actually lizards. They're Synapsids, in other words proto-mammals. The movie's rendition of them is pretty inaccurate, which is why they look more reptilian than they actually were. They're technically our ancestors.
I'm pretty sure more than a gew dinosaurs were sold off too and shipped away, so from them buyers can create more from them too. It did show in last movie, dinosaurs that were sold, being shipped away & dna too.
Recombinant DNA molecules are DNA sequences resulting from laboratory methods (e.g. molecular cloning) to bring together genetic materials from various sources and create a sequence that would not otherwise be found in biological organisms. Recombinant DNA is possible because the DNA molecules of all organisms share the same chemical structure, differing only in the sequence of nucleotides within the overall structure of an individual. Consequently, DNA from an external source can be bound to a host, drive DNA replication and then be introduced into a host, causing the external DNA to replicate along with the host's original DNA. Gene splicing is the main means by which InGen recreated its dinosaurs for Jurassic Park. By combining DNA obtained from various fossil specimens and complementing it with that of related modern species, InGen has managed to recreate several fossil species. However, this merging of different genetic materials meant that several species displayed characteristics that were not expected by InGen, such as some Velociraptors (especially Clarence) that exhibited chameleon-like color-changing abilities and those that had been supplemented with RANA (frog) DNA that was able to change gender and allow them to reproduce in the all-female environment of Jurassic Park.
You wondered about 2 minutes how the dinosaurs had been able to migrate from North America after being released. Remember in Fallen Kingdom that some had already been purchased at the auction and shipped out before the release happened. Those ended up being taken to other parts of the world by their buyers to used, cloned, resold for profit. No doubt some of the buyers were not prepared to handled these dinos, especially the carnivorous ones, and some of those dinos very likely attacked their captors and escaped as well.
Personally, I wished Blue would have had a bigger role in this film. and also, for the fact that I guess, I always wonder since the first Jurassic world came out, How Alan would react to Owen's relationship with Blue or any of the raptors truly. I guess I didn't see that bond that much in this movie as it was in the others.
Yeah, they didn't get Dogson's original actor back because he got into trouble over some...Inappropriate conduct towards a minor, to put it lightly. Completely agree with your thoughts on the movie though. I've noticed that when series get to the point where quality starts to dip the action scenes start to increase, Alien: Resurrection is a good example of that. With this one you can see how they tried to adjust things that were criticised in the previous films, like the inaccurate dinosaurs (and they didn't even get that right lmao), but it was kinda too late to really do anything meaningful there. I personally found the movie's messaging to be pretty confused as well. Throughout the whole thing they're pushing the idea that the Dinosaurs are wonderful, miraculous creatures we need to co-exist with, but then the death of the Giganotosaurus is framed as something we're supposed to cheer for. Bro was literally just an animal doing animal things, probably the last of its kind, and now it's gone, but that's a good thing because it had beef with the T. Rex??? They tried to make it Godzilla lite I suppose.
This movie was great because it was a reunion. You gotta remember it was a little over 20 years from the first movie. It was over the top and did need stakes but I still enjoyed it because I've been a fan so long. Hate that you didn't because he definitely came across in the editing and overall reaction.
I get it, I’m a huge Star Wars fan and I like watching reaction videos too, it’s disappointing when they don’t like something you love but I always appreciate the honesty. I loved some of the other Jp movies. I just felt the plot in this one was weak and hard to invest into. i was being honest about how i felt. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie
It's hard for me to describe how it made me feel, I liked it, but I wish they would have focus more on the Dinos instead of the bugs. I mean bringing the 3 first people back was exciting and it wasn't a total let down, but I expected more like how they did the other films. But I do hope they plan to make another. weather it's a movie or turn to a tv show.
When I saw you were to this movie I was excited at first but quickly saw you weren't doing the Extended Edition, which really is a better cut. Great video overall though. Keep up the great work.
Personally i really liked this one! (Maybe cause i watched it in the cinema and the experience for me was phenomenal and that i love dinosaurs but i loved it!)
He’s probably a doctor of science. Many people think doctor means medical doctor, which isn’t necessarily true. There’s many people with the DR title in many different fields.
Don’t forget in the last movie Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Eli Mills was able to auction off some of the dinosaurs and we saw them being locked in shipment containers and there were a lot of big wigs from all over the world who came to bid on them. I’m presuming if these people can afford to bid millions of dollars on dinosaurs they’d have enough cash to transport them out of the country on private cargo planes or something to that effect.
figured that they didn't actually get away with any of the dinosaurs because the auction was disrupted by Owen and Claire very shortly after the first few were sold
Yep, bang on point with the whole "no risk" in this one. They could’ve probably killed off all the side-characters that made a return and it still wouldn’t feel risky. Owen’s buddy, the Jurassic World employees, etc. Hell, they could’ve killed off the pilot, too. She had zero addition to the story past the planecrash, and the stakes would be much higher if she did die. Wu should’ve probably been injured, because he deserves it, and probably half the main cast should’ve had some more injuries or lasting problems from it all. But nope. Participation trophy for everyone.
It would be a better ending if the Giganotosaurus was defeated(but not Killed) by Rexy and the other T-Rexs, and Giganotosaurus lost its position as the Alpha Predator of the Valley. They could've showed the Injured Giganotosaurus roaming in Biosyn's Valley at the end of the Movie. Zeb DID NOT deserved to Die
I like this movie, but it's my least favorite out of the Jurassic Park/World franchise. For the last *five* movies there was this running theme of "don't let the dinosaurs out", which we've SEEN the consequences with the San Diego incident from JP2 and Fallen Kingdom to an extent, and the short film Battle At Bigrock which you can see on TH-cam right now. But the conclusion with this movie was "oh yeah, we can coexist." It just felt like an anticlimactic buildup. I also dislike how they cut from action to action, like "Oh look, Quetzalcoatlus!" "Oh look, Therizinosaurus! (freddy kruger dinosaur)" "Oh look, Pyroraptor! (feathered red one)" "Oh look, Dimetrodon! ('Big Lizard', which is NOT actually a dinosaur) And also half of the plot kinda doesn't make sense, half of it undoes what we were told in Fallen Kingdom. She was cloned because her mother died but now she was birthed because of.. something? I know a lot about Jurassic Lore but even this stumps me, I've just forgotten it. And also, how would people know about Massie? As far as everyone knows only Iris, Eli and Lockwood knew which they all died. (Deleted scene showed Iris defending Massie against the Indoraptor which is why she just vanishes). I like this movie, but it doesn't compare to the original Jurassic Park. Fun Fact: At 27:26 the two other T-Rexes to the right are the Buck and Doe from The Lost World.
I've been a massive Jurassic Park fan all my life. Got the VHS the Christmas it came out and of course was there opening weekend for The Lost World when I was 8. Those movies left a huge imprint on me (JP3 as well). The last two Jurassic movies to me are two variations of really poor writing and personally I dont like the message of those movies (however I dug the first Jurassic World).
The comments are not an accurate source of information on dinosaurs. Everyone want to be a paleontologist. These people take theories and place them as facts, its funny
Okay so you gotta tell us, how would you rank them? This is my favorite franchise and I have very strong convictions on the top 2, but wanna hear your thoughts! 🥹
i'm conflicted tbh, The first one is confidently number 1 .the next 3 i could have any order tbh. then 5 and 6 are last. i'd prob settle with 1,4,3,2,5,6
@@mattyreacts I feel like we agree for the most part, they go in descending order for me; 1 is a masterpiece but 2 is my personal favorite, and then 3, 4, and the last two… glad you liked the series 🙏🏽 there’s also the 2 short films if you haven’t seen em, the camp site one and the prequel short for dominion (both like 7-10 min I think)

9:56 Yeah that’s Dodgson. He was recast for this movie.
"Dodgson, Dodgson! We've got Dodgson here!"
Blue's anger, frustration and protection to her baby is understandable, even to Owen.
Such an irrelevant comment.
27:27 That’s Rexy with the Mom-Dad T. rex duo from The Lost World.
Rexy more like the older sister to “buck and doe” she also the biggest tyrannosaurus in this franchise.

How this movie made 1 billion is just 🤯 most boring one imo.
