It's actually the other bourjois foundation that is more popular, the healthy mix serum foundation. They're not know for high coverage, but for a light and comfortable finish.
It's my favorite foundation! Looks like skin and is very light weight :)
And when you tried it before you had oily skin. I'd love for you to try it now you are more dry.
But somehow all of the shades are so yellow I can't really wear it!
The Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation is more natural matte finish & is solid medium, buildable coverage. There is a 123 Perfect CC cream (only available in UK/EU) and it’s really good too. Light-medium buildable coverage as well but more of a natural finish.
kimc555 I loved the cc cream for years until i finally admitted it was too dark for me. Sucks the bourjois shade ranges are so poor.

The fact that the makeup forever powder blurred out whatever was happening with that setting spray really is a testament to how good it is. I’m definitely picking that up now
Kirsten, my first thought was that setting spray made her look like one of those “human statue” performers, the ones that wear all over bronze or golden makeup. In fact, that stuff would be a hit with those people, men and women! For those who aren’t “living statue” performers, it’s only good as a glow-y body spray.

Oh! You should try a wet n wild primer. It’s the photo focus water drop primer. The cucumber one. It literally melts into your skin and leaves it feeling soft, and smooth.

The Obsession brand (can't remember proper name) is owned by Makeup Revolution.

Yeah I’ve tried products from all of their lines and defo the quality goes up along with the price. Their revolution pro line is defo the best and it’s still cheap👍🏻
@@sallyfearon3369 I found some palettes from I hart revolution and revolution that I like even more than revolution Pro. Basically is kinda try and error still can find amazing products in their lines. And amazing price. At the moment my absolute favourite is make up revolution Carmi palette - make magic. Really really should try it!!!

Max Factor is a Coty brand just like Bourjois, Cover girl, Manhattan, and Rimmel. The Max Factor and Cover girl as well as the Manhattan and Rimmel brands have basically the same products and are therefore not usually sold in the same markets. Bourjois used to own Chanel but got spun off recently.
You can tell by the packaging that Max factor, particularly the foundations are the same products as Covergirl! The ingredients are also the same on some of them and if you’re in the U.K. like me and you can’t get Covergirl there’s quite often a Max Factor version, which makes me so happy 😊
Just because a company is under a Umbrella Brand, doesn't mean all those company's products are the same nor that they're made in the same factory.. they aren't!
Max Factor is basically Covergirl however, we just have it under the brand Max Factor here in the UK. They are the same company.
Gillian Wills I didn’t say they’re made in the same factory, Max Factor is made in Ireland and Covergirl is obviously made in the US. I have extensively looked at the ingredients of some of the foundations and they are more or less the same. My point was that they are the same company.

you should have tried superdrug, as brands go in the uk these are some of the worst ones you could have picked 😂 superdrug has better brands, better products and its so much more affordable than boots

Cant say I've ever found any brands I like in superdrug but then again they dont deliver everything to Ireland only certain products. I shop at Boots but I tend to shop online rather than in store and I end up getting more mid to high end brands that have better formulas and better shades for us non self tanned girls! I actually cant understand the Revolution hype (and Obsession). I dont even bother with any of the brands she used at all. To think years ago I hadnt a clue and used to shop Rimmel in the shade Pale Biscuit hahahahahaha ok we are going back a LONG way haha

The bondi sands in ultra dark (foam) is amazing. It gets me so dark but has an olive undertone.

The dry oil, yes!!! 😍 I just apply it like a regular self tanner with a mitt, and leave it on. It doesn't transfer, as long as you're not getting into white clothes directly after lol. It doesn't feel like an oil. It's hard to describe truly. I don't put lotion on afterwards and it feels like I did. It hasn't left me streaky or orange ever. And it fades so so nicely. It's great for me bc I'm busy, it's hard to keep up on it lol. I would recommend doing legs first the going up bc I've heard it can leave lines on your tummy rolls 😅 highly recommend. I just wish it wasn't $20. I think the 5.07 oz. bottle should be around $15 at least. Let me know if you try it!

I actually really like the bondi sands 1 hr express mousse. I do have a couple tips though... I don’t use a mitt, I just use nitrile gloves because I feel like I waste less product that way and get more on my skin and I can blend it out better. I also leave it on for about the same amount of time I’d leave a regular self tanner on for. I don’t mind though because the smell isn’t bad and it’s not sticky and the color guide is nice. I get really good results using it that way.
The other day I left it on for like an hour and a half like you did and when I rinsed it off I had very little color.
Just thought I’d leave my two cents since you bought the mousse and it sucks to not be able to use a product you spent money on. 😁

I love that bourjois concealer, maybe use it like a colour corrector because it's so yellow??? Also you should do a series revisiting foundations you've tried in the past but now try again with your new skin type, like choose the one's that are now especially suited to your skin type that weren't before, e.g the bourjois healthy mix serum foundation :)

Taylor, if you haven’t tried Clarin’s SOS primer in the peach tube (tube with a pump), you are missing out on the best primer on the market. It hydrates, but doesn’t look oily, and the way it fills in pores is unbelievable. Best primer I’ve ever used by a long shot and I’ve used dozens and dozens of primers. None of them even come close to this one. They have about 5 of these primers but the peach one is most popular because it’s like an all-in-one. You should do a review on it, it’s amazing!!

Hi Taylor, Obsession it's not new in the UK but till Jan2018 was completely different, was more for professional with powder makeup in individual pans similar to Freedom. When TAMBeauty changed to RevolutionBeauty they rebranded and changed all the concepts. Obsession it's now teenager makeup (reason why I don't buy it anymore) and Freedom it's now Revolution Pro. xxx

I personally love the NYX Pro Foundation mixer! I got white & olive so no matter if I get a foundation that's a little too light or dark I can adjust them no problem. It also seems to not mess up the foundation formula even if not NYX brand.

Makeup Obsession is sold at Target now! I have that concealer (in an actual skin shade) and I really like it on my under eyes. The formula is lightweight and doesn't end up looking too dry or too oily.
Try b.tan, it’s Australian made and available at Walmart! I’m pale like you are, and I use the color “I want the darkest possible” but it isn’t their darkest shade. It isn’t orange at all! It looks so natural and last a solid week on me. The color guard is very gray/green. It says one hour, or four hours if you want. I leave it on overnight usually and I love it! I tend to do two coats on my legs, and want to try the next shade up, but so far it’s great!
Try your Face Halo! It's amazing. So much more effective than wipes. Just wet it a little with warm water, its the only thing that will take off my liquid lip in one swipe!

That max factor bronzer Cover Girl has in their true match line. They have baked blush and bronzers that a lot of people really like if they prefer the sheen to their products.
I have the most dryest skin ever, as in the true dry skin, skin that does not produce oil AT ALL. This bourjois foundation is a god send for dry skin. This sometimes mixed with it cosmetics foundation, great combo for dry skin!

I have a pack of 3 Face Halos. You really don't need to put it in the shower. I'm not a "wash your face at the sink & get water everywhere" kind of person either. You just treat it like a makeup sponge honestly - wet it completely, squeeze out excess, wipe. You just may have to hold it over your more difficult eye makeup for a few seconds to saturate it first. I LOVE the Face Halos! They're so easy, & I never realized how much makeup my makeup wipes missed!
I've encountered pilling when I apply foundation on the banana primer and the hydro grip. I thought it was dry skin but I realized it was always having weirdness with those primers.

The peeling and pilling is almost 100% the milk primer. While I love it, it absolutely will do that

I really love that foundation! I only need a tiny bit to get rid of redness since I dont really like coverage and its the only drugstore foundation in my country that I've found has my shade ( I've noticed other countries usually have more shades) the rest of drugstore foundations start in a shade thats already too dark for me.

I’m digging the outfit and earrings!! Even though you had a few fails I still think you look beautiful. When you showed that Obsession setting spray I knew it was going down hill, I saw another TH-camr use the one that looks purple in the bottle and it gave her a tin man effect to her makeup so I was concerned that one would do the same but you fixed it in the end. I’m really wanting to get that Makeup Forever powder; I’ve looked at it in Sephora multiple times but have yet to purchase it. I did however grab a few products from the Obsession brand at Target and so far I’m pretty happy with everything that I picked up. I’m looking forward to your review on the Urban Dream Cover foundation because I did pick it up as well but have not tried it yet. Lots of love Taylor!!

NYX actually makes some mixers & they've been out for a while. Mostly online but I've had the white one for a while & I love it. You don't need a lot & it really doesn't change the consistency of the foundation. I got mine at ULTA a while back. I don't know if they all carry it as NYX changes their products in store all the time.

Physician’s Formula and elf both have foundation lighteners and darkeners. I’ve been using the elf one everyday lately (almost all my foundations are way too light....I suck at buying foundations online) and it’s really nice. It’s more on the neutral side with a teensy touch of warmth. I really like it. The elf toners come separately, but the Physician’s Formula toners come with both. I live in Canada so what we have here is for sure available to you. :)
That setting spray looks exactly like the Hard Candy sheer envy illuminating glow setting spray. I used that one morning, unaware of what was about to happen, and had no time to redo my makeup. The metal shaker ball inside should have been my first clue LOL. Now, I just spray it on a cotton ball and dab it on my cheekbones and it's fine.....totally not an all over face spray, though.
I wish so much that we had a Boots in the US! I watch several beauty TH-camrs from the UK, so I get kind of frustrated when products launch there, then don't show up in the US for a very long time. How has your Accutane experience been after being off it for a while? Are you noticing any fall back changes to your skin. Like is it going back to its old way. Acne, oily etc? My doctor wants me to get on it for cystic adult acne. And I’m scared to go through it all just for my skin to go back to the way it was before I got on it.
I'm pretty sure she did a series on it if you look through her channel and her skin stayed on the dry side after, it didn't go back to oily, I hope this helps :)
We have Bourjois in Canada and they have some awesome products and some really shitty ones lol. Aw you should have picked up the Max Factor Bronzer in the shade 05 Light, you would’ve liked that one way more! Great shade for pale skin and far more matte than the shade 10.. we’ve had Make Up Obsession for about a year now in Boots, is a sister company of Make Up Revolution x
