Sometimes it takes finding 2 foundations mixed together to make the perfect one. I never use just one.
Im 38 and Loreal serum foundation is the best with natural finish.
That's about the age I started having trouble with foundation as well. I'm 46 now, and I've learned over time a couple of things. Less is more, full coverage isn't as flattering, because it settles in lines you didn't know you have, and build slowly only in the areas you need to. Don't use very much on your forehead, chin, or nose. Also, don't powder except in areas you absolutely need it. Setting spray is your friend. Use it before and after applying your foundation. Hope some of these tips help.❤

The drugstore and the dollar tree is where I buy most of my foundation or make up in general I am good make up at the drugstore and they have some new product I like at the dollar tree
I LOVE the drugstore mentions the most!! I tend to tune out on the high end ones cause there are so many great drug store options!!!
Umm, your makeup looks PHENOMENAL in this video!! I love seeing you a little more natural, without the winged liner and lashes, but still bronzey and hydrated. It’s beautiful!!

It’s so hard to find the right foundation now, especially for oily acne prone skin. I love these guides, they help so much!! ❤️
The problem with acne prone skin is that is oily and dry(this due to medical tretmants) at the same time! Or it is my case

I am right there with you. I've been using MAC'S Studio Radiance foundation which has worked for me. I set it with loose powder and it stays all day, and looks just like your skin. Downside is no SPF, and it's $39.
@@josipag2185my tip from someone with this type of skin, is using either a good moisturizer before foundation, or a tinted one, and powdering the oily/shiny zones
@@agentsculder2451 I only use cruelty free makeup and skincare, and sadly MAC is not cruelty free so I choose not to use it for morality reasons. I’m using NYX rn and it seems to be working but yeah by the end of the day I’m a little bucket of oil so still trying to find the right one that fits all my needs

I bought the Revlon colorstay several weeks ago from your recommendation and I wish I had tried it sooner. It is my absolute favorite foundation amongst all my high end and drugstore foundations and it wears so amazingly throughout the day. I have oily skin and I love the oily combination skin version.

I used to be OBSESSED with revlon colourstay .. specially the thick whipped formula in the glass jar. Haven’t used it in YEARS but yet I still remember I was shade 150 buff beige
You're the only person I've ever seen talk about Revlon Colorstay, and I love it! I've been using it for at least a decade and I keep going back to it, even if I try to branch out.
I’ve been a long time fan, and often watch your older videos to decompress. It’s amazing, you have gotten more beautiful over the years!! It’s evident how healthy you are and that you take great care of yourself mentally & physically. You are an inspiration! ❤
When foundation claim they have like SPF 10 or 15 is because of the pigment (generally iron oxides) that naturally give it that. It is not formulated on purpose to give sun protection, they just found out that the ingredients did that naturally and so the brands use it as an extra claim. Amazing video, very helpful! What is most helpful in finding your correct shade? I find that if it looks good in the store, it will be too yellow in normal lighting. Your foundation shade always looks perfect….I want!!! 😊

For Sephora Best Skin Ever - Try the Glow version. It's incredibly beautiful.
I wear the HD liquid coverage foundation from Catrice on live TV. And it. Looks. Flawless. I don't even need concealer for my dark circles, I just use a lighter shade of the same product.

Loreal Freshwear and Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk are my go-to foundations for my combo/dry skin. Loreal True Nude Tinted Serum as my tinted moisturizer. ♥️ Being a woman isn’t easy, trying to find a foundation that works is hard & I appreciate this breakdown. Might expand my brand choices. @@shannontorres9872 I would say Freshwear and Luminous Silk are medium to full. Definitely buildable. I don’t like a shellac look on me.

Revlon Colorstay Oily/combo is just soooo good. Wears 12+ hours, controls oils, doesn’t cling to dry patches. It’s just stunning. If they ever discontinue it I’ll be devastated. I know it’s dramatic but my skin is finicky but it loves this foundation
Tati I can't thank you enough how you break down each foundation. Unfortunately I doveloped eczema under my eyes early this year so I have to watch out which products I'm using (and I'm still learning) so this really helps❤
i have that too. i found argan oil, sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil helped a little. Steroids are so damaging on the eye, best avoided. even just vaseline helps a little & i take collagen supplements. i ended up in hospital with blepharitis and it was agony. Sending a hug because i know how horrible it is. 💯🤗🌟

Please please please , tell me your pick for plumping , good coverage ( melasma) , longer wearing, not glowy but not matte, sinks into skin and most important alcohol free!! 😊 I’m having the hardest time finding a foundation that won’t show my lines wrinkles and dehydration 😢

As my oily skin changed (thanks to Niacinamide correcting it), I found that Double Wear was looking cakey on my skin. I added a drop of facial oil and it made DW look flawless!!
For those with dry skin, beauty blender bounce skin tint is amazing! So easy to use (just use the dropper onto a beauty blender) and looks like second skin. I also like the Fenty beauty skin tint, although I have found it quite hard to get an exact colour match and have to mix shades. Agree on the Sephora brand one - it’s fine, but nothing amazing and there are definitely better out there. I don’t think I’ve tried any of the others in this video, and will probably stick with my beauty blender one now, it’s just so perfect.

I recently bought the Catrice HD foundation and boy I was blown away! I was afraid it could be too much for summer/warmer months but it's just perfect. Won't budge for anything in the world. I'm trusting it enough to use it whenever I have concert nights when I'm all sweating setting up the stage, during the performance and after.
I totally agree with skincare related to cycle changes..my skin goes crazy! My favorite is the Laura mercier oil free tinted moisturizer- you might try it- I've got combo skin as well and my skin loves it!
Tati I went back to using Revlon after using EL Double Wear. I swore by it in the 90s.

All my foundations look good because of the way I apply it. Skin care when I wake up, sunscreen at the beginning of my makeup application, a few minutes later I powder my entire face, then I put on foundation. Looks great all the time for me. I have normal to dry skin.

Normal to dry. Yes, I powder first(very light dusting with large fluffy brush) then apply foundation over the powder.

Foundation hack alert: if you want to make a thinner foundation thicker, just pour or pump some into a clean, sterilized or sanitized plastic jar and let it sit, uncovered. The longer you expose it to the air, the thicker it will get. I use this method with the L’Oréal True Match foundations. I use C8 as my foundation color, C6 as my concealer color, and C5 as my highlight color, all thickened using this method. It blends like a dream and the color match is impeccable!
Clever. I would add a fine cloth over the opening to avoid contaminants floating their way in.
You could also add translucent powder.

As your average everyday regular job person. I love the Rimmel stay matte foundation in the plastic tube. It's purple and white. I can use any primer or just my moisturizer then literally a tiny drop on my brush and it covers my entire face without being thick. Then I put my powder foundation on top of it and boom, foundation that is locked in, beautiful, natural and skin like, affordable, has a good shade range and lasts through sweating. That's my thing. It has to last through sweating or there would be no sense in me even putting any makeup on. I've cracked the code on every makeup product that will last through sweating. Eyeshadow palettes and all.
I am 61 years old have been using the Laura Merceir Flawless Lumiere Radiance Perfecting Foundation and I LOVE IT!! I was a fan of the True Match Super-Blendable Foundation but not a fan of the reformulated one. So finding Laura Mercier's Foundation has been a blessing lol. Live in Northeast Texas and the heat is on but my Foundation withstands it 💗

This is great ! Only recently started using foundation more frequently and pretty much every day. I've dry skin, and sensitive due to (mild) rosacea. I'm also as pale as a ghost, so every foundation I try is either too yellow, too pink or wayy too white ! Honestly I pick a foundation more by it's shade than by it's formulation. If I'm lucky enough to find a shade to match me and made for dry skin, then I'm bulk buying. Love this :D

Love this video. ❤ it’s hard for me to try Foundation because I have sensitive skin and It’s also normal to oily as well. I stick with my Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation. And drugstore I use L’Oréal Infallible fresh wear foundation. So those work for me. 😁
PUR tinted moisturizer is never talked about but it is a BEAUTIFUL finish and I love it!!

Glad to hear someone else is raving about Revlon Colour Stay foundation. In love since 15 years...my nr 1 foundation. I tried many others iver years, some very expensive and always came back to Revlon.
