Yes the base models makes total sense. This car can take a lot of beating. No brainer for those who r looking for a rugged go anywhere vehicle. What a Shame that Renault discontinued the AWD variant.
If I was buying one for myself, I most certainly would. I have always loved the Duster. TBH the only issue i have with the updated Duster is with the choice of seat fabric design. IMO it looks hideous especially with those silver accents. But thats an easy fix, so no worries there. And its also a proven engine (has been in use in other cars like A class for sometime now). Just curious to know how bad the fuel efficiency is.
This is the best review I have ever watched. Instead of talking about the Gimmicks of the car, the look, the design, Cup Holders the most of the videos, this reviewer talks about real facts that we actually want to know before buying like the stalling experience, the gear shifts, the pedal spacing, seat and steering adjustments. Please help us this way always sir!
Good review by Aatish!! You are doing a fab job. As far as the Duster goes, Its ride and handling dynamics along with a Mechanical feel sets it apart from its competition, but its high time that Renault starts taking the Indian market seriously else it will loose its customer base. This car started the compact SUV trend in INdia but unfortunately its struggling now.
i want a Duster with seltos inerior... wot i can say is except dated interior everything else is value for money.. some people like minimalistic crude interior for a rugged off-roader like duster. it has its unique styling which can easily be recognised ..
AS far as i know suspension is far superior.. it gives upmost comfort at any bad road thrown at it.. its damn good for long distance commute.. a big mile muncher ..

Hi , do the safety specs vehicle stability management , electronic stability programme and traction control is of great importance while normal drive with family. Both honda city 5 gen and duster top variant have same specs. Which on to consider on 14 lakh budget!
Whatesh 👏🏻 How was the clutch action? Springy or hard? Would it cause pain for bumper to bumper city drives? Are the lower gears shorter ratio and do you need frequent gear changes in city driving?
The CVT isn't worth the 1.8 lac premium it demands over the manual... The should have offered a much more premium DCT for the price difference.. The manual though big on numbers isn't actually putting all the power to the ground like the turbo petrol units in the Korean competition... The manual is more VFM and fun to drive than the CVT... Duster has always scored high interms of shear driving pleasure but the lethargic CVT play spoil sport in that department.. For that price difference you could opt kicks CVT petrol and get a better, upmarket cabin
Creta and Seltos aren't real SUVs despite all their creature laden features. The real place for an SUV is the offroad, not its extra features like Sunroof etc, that's why I will still go for the Duster despite the fact that it's features are dated. Yes, they should come with an AWD.
Where does the 154 ps go?? It's slower than creta and seltos! I am disappointed. Ps: This vehicle is actually having capability"on paper" and fails to perform on the tarmac. NOT vice versa.

@sidhu Duster is limited with traction control. You can't switch it off. Koreans you get that acceleration with traction control off. And also you pay around 5L more for the same. ✋
The one who wants good drivebality and solid build go for duster or ecosport or Nexon.. those who are not aware of it are simply attracted by the Koreans with features that they will use for the first few days of purchase the car.
@@manoja538 agreed.. you're comparing apple & oranges.. - you need to compare venue/sonet with Nexon/ecosport/duster.. in that comparison it's very clear from the buyer perspective.. if someone wants a solid mechanical package - they'll never go for a Korean. Those Koreans are just beefedup hatchbacks who can be a decent soft roaders Considering the price point of seltos/creta - you can take it up with Harrier which will clearly wipe them off the game
@@manoja538 they might be a segment higher in terms features and size. But they can't match the quality of engineering in driving offered by ford , renault and recent Tata's.... Zero safety ratings......, Risking life with 12-14 lakh investment. Engine is fine but build quality is not upto the mark. Would you pick the Renault Duster turbo over more expensive (but more feature laden) rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos?
Yes bro..vfm
Ya I will go for renault duster turbo petrol manual RXZ
Yes

Except the dashboard design I'm 101% satisfied with the duster !
It's a pure mechanical package!
Duster is just to get the feel of real driving not features , and that's why we buy one! Pride is how it handles!
Safety is equally important. Duster has ncap rating of 3 stars whereas it's rivals are of 4 to 5 stars.

Would it be fair to say that the Duster 1.3 could compete with the Polo 1.0 TSI?
Just love to drive duster any day any time its so fun and peppy very similar to the ritz disel engine
Honestly done up video, however it felt like a first drive review. Would wait for a comprehensive test review from evo, in case it's coming 🤞
Hey, can you pin the 30-80 in 3rd gear and 40-100 in 4th gear timing?
Would they launch AWD verient with this turbo engine?? Any information?

I wonder if kicks makes a good middle point between duster and seltos. A little more price for a little more premium cabin.
Feel sad no AWD with turbo petrol engine with Duster

What about mileage ?
Turbo manual in city
Let us know about the after sales service of this SUV.

Price difference between manual and CVT of 1.9 lacs is too high.
