Renault sells old/overpriced models in India and then complain that the sales are low, FFS this is not how you run a business especially in a market like India which is not only price sensitive but extremely competitive as well.

Yesterday i and my family purchased new car Renault facelift duster from bilaspur chattisgarh.
Full LED headlamps are more of fancy thingy. Not good in terms of real road usage. Unless they come up with 4300K LEDs, halogen/ 4300k HID in a projector is still a better option to have
Ride quality is awesome...I own 2015 model
Shouldn't have downgraded the AWD,that's the main reason people buy duster.

I'm an Indian living in the middle east and here and in most of the foreign countries Dacia/Renault has released a new 2020 model which has major changes in the interior and in the exterior. This is disappointing Renault.
I own 2012 Renault Duster 110PS 1.5 L Diesel. Till date I don't feel that my car is outdated. I don't even regret that latest tech like Auto Headlamps, Auto Wipers, Cornering Lights or anything is missing. All I do is push it to its Max levels and just takeoff. The other and only thing I want is a fantastic ride quality and a Bluetooth function, and by god's grace it have both of them. I literally just drink tea in the car while driving from my home to office, and believe me no spills have ben accomplished till date. And at the last, someone please convince me to not to buy the upcoming duster.
Duster is one of the most liked car in Asia and Europe. Its because of the design which was made by Renault. Very good engine performance, Amazing alloy wheel, stuffed features.
Goodbye Renault.

The new dacia would have been good time to launch. However if electronics and plush interior is the requirement then Hyundai çaters to that need. Haviñg said that i haven't seen anything that comes closer to the ride quality which has been the dusters biggest strength and continues to be so till date at this price point. In my view the cvt is a steal.

Uncle look at the price then comment. It's too end variant in petrol is avaible in 11.50 lakh on road price.. the price at which you won't get a base model of harrier or mg

@@infinityscope6525 at the same price point, you have the S-CROSS, which is much lighter, waay more spacious, has a higher safety rating, much better interior and is much more stable at higher speeds(I've driven both. Context, 2018 S-CROSS DDiS 200 and 2018 Duster RxS Petrol CVT).
S-CROSS is the better out of the two.

Renault got the interiors so right with Koleos and Fluence. It still holds up. This is just too simple, and embarrassing to be honest. It looks good from the outside but inside is just the same old disappointing story.
Why don't you guys have the newer Duster like here in South Africa but at least the screen are now higher on the newer model and you have a 360° camera that you can see around the car
Ha ha .. others running behind mg , seltos and tatas.. I bought my Reno duster last month petrol CVT and got 30k accessories free and plus changed the whole interiors and added more features which are pretty much inline with seltos top variant features... The whole thing cost me around 12.5 lakhs.. so I am happy... as I got the best suv in best price with enhanced features
If Duster was given to Hyundai then it would have been an undisputed champion.. Feel sad for such a capable machine....
With a mileage of 14kmpl, it is a thirsty engine. Competitors are giving over 17kmpl now... how can they compete? i am willing to pay for outdated features, but not for outdated efficiency.
Why Renault is not bringing in the same units which they hav launched in other countries.. In GCC you have a version which you love it.. be it interior.. be it exterior.. its far far better than what we get here in India
Bhai mai lene ki soch eha tha lekin iska touch screen kafi neeche diya hai...screen ko ac vents ke just neeche hona chahiye tha aur back doors mai bootle holder bhi nahi hai....
Love this car from the beginning .....still looks good and robust.
It's really disappointing that in such an important market they r still selling their old 1st gen. model with some useless so called facelifts instead of international model..will not work Renault team..seems they r just selling out their bs 4 engines n hopefully will bring their international model with bs 6 engine next yr.
Even when people are complaining, I'll prefer to buy duster over Vitara Brezza. The build quality and design is a whole lot better. Plus it feels more like a SUV than Brezza or S Cross

Almost nothing is changed I think Renault is know failed like Fiat, Chevrolet. They keep updating the same car which is not actually updated only some changes are in the car. They need to launch a whole new car or if do not launch a new car they do not have to have a problem because they are already failed in indian market.

New Duster is not bad but there are better options available in its range. Even Tata and Mahindra are bringing very good products these days.

The new European spec Duster is itself a facelift with new body panels and styling. This just goes to show that Renault doesn't value the Indian market. The new international styling would've made it a top seller again. I don't think Renault is going to last very long in India, same goes for Nissan and Datsun. On the other hand, KIA's commitment to our market will soon make them a segment leader. Seltos is definitely going to dethrown its sibling Creta.
Duster CVT Petrol or Seltos HTK Plus petrol variant? which one should buy?
Save the extra cash go for this cvt. Use the extra cash and get the interceptor :)
What does it take for reno to bring 2nd gen duster to india? The first generation is growing very old now. Also the rear end of the car with those black plastic is hidious. This facelift is just to save their face against the tough competition.

I don't know what were they thinking... While Kia and MG are trying hard with putting all on the table Renault and Nissan with their so called facelift version while already have next gen models in Europe..🤦♂️

I just checked the july 2019 sales and compared to tata, maruti , creata the sales are increasing for Renault duster but decreasing for others ... Check the sales first

Renault should be packing their bag's soon. If they don't launch the upgraded/ European one.

Best way to kill its own brand...duster is best in driving in its own segment but it needs serious upgrade as competition bench mark by other brands are to high...
Instead of that top spec Duster, we could buy a nice variant of the new Nissan Kicks or Renault Captur...

You cannot take creta for off roading but duster can do any type of offroading
With Creta, Harrier, Seltos and Hector in market it's travesty to even consider buying Duster.
So u would buy 19 lakh on road priced seltos top variant (petrol) over 11.50 lakh top end variant duster (petrol)- just an example to tell u ur comparing it in a very wrong way

looks like the renault R&D team is sleeping in india!! please bring us new cars, India has moved away from the old "garbage car market" phase! This is exactly how fiat lost all of its sales to the competitors. I dont understand why nissan and renault is not selling the new micra, duster, sunny, clio, megane sedan, stepway etc in India :O

Sunroof is absolutely an unnecessary feature for India....they should have instead added 6 airbags (front+ side & curtain) this omission is absolutely nonsensical. Safety should be prioritised.

Such an awesome car and look what Renault has done with new facelift. You just gave up the competition. Most of SUVs going to beat this car handsomely. I wish if they could have really upgraded interiors without changing much of exteriors it would have made some good numbers but they just destroyed themselves. Everything looks so old in this car. It was one of my most anticipated cars to watch out for but i just feel sadened. Bye bye Renault duster you are now done and absolutely dusted and busted.
Ergonomic nightmare; That touchscreen with the usb slot on the top is a massive fail. What were the designers thinking?
The hanging usb cable will foul with your hand specifically on the driver side.
