@rushabhk8 I can't say I had faith im watching listening and im learning I've changed perspectives on Carlisle I kinda liked it at first now I never reach for it .I have seen chaos say feby smelled like Carlisle sprayed it in the Air and said it smelled exactly like Carlise ,well it's a green Irish tweed clone I believe.Im new to his channel and I'm 51 years old been smelling buying and waring fragrances since late 80s so I've smelled alot and still i change my mind at times.I hated Og spice bomb and code profomo now I love them .If I catch something off I will point it out like I have with the shills that work for zaharoff .Well HAPPY NEW YEAR BUDDY FROM YOUR FELLOW FRAGRANCE ADDICT
I like the edp it does a different job to my other fragrances. To me the name society made me think of society events where you are in close proximity to others, where you want to smell nice and gentlemanly without being distracting, rather than society as a whole. Something like going to an art gallery event or an opera.
Have been a fan of Aaron since his first video. These reviews are so on spot, explained, giving his own thoughts and the general ones acording to general liking, going deep on notes, molecules... i simply consider Aaron's channel as... pure perfection. Also love his personality so much ❤
I own this fragrance and love it, it was my favorite 2023 release. It’s elegant and has just the right amount of sweetness without smelling like a cheap Paco Rabanne. Just perfect for the office! It also lasts all day on my skin and clothes. The lack of projection Aaron sensed plus that weird sprayer issue he had makes me wonder if something is wrong with his particular bottle. Also, Givenchy just announced an ‘Extreme’ version of this Society fragrance. I hope ATH reviews that one as well. I love this channel
I had zero expectations, smelled it at the store and loved it for what it is. It's easy to wear, gets compliments, is airy and inoffensive. Agreed performance could be better but I do enjoy how easy this fragrance is to wear and that is what sold me on it. I think comparisons and marketing may have led you to expect something else but your description and experience is accurate. I personally haven't smelled anything particularly like this so it intrigued me and is easily accessible as a designer fragrance. Your palate is a lot wider as a perfumer so something like this, while safe for the masses, is not necessarily impressive or groundbreaking. I can see why you may be underwhelmed. I do enjoy it though. Great review, I agree with all points and description of the experience, I do wish it lasted longer though.
I smelled this the first time when i was in the Philippines and my girlfriend loved it. When i was back home a few months later i bought it at a discount. The projection for me is also not that good but still i love the smell of it. It turns into something very elegant in the drydown for me so let's hope the new extreme flanker will have the projection. I love watching your reviews.

I have a society edp extreme, and this versions projection is really good.I'm in my 50's and love the projection, and when put on your skin and clothes, the sillage is brilliant. It carries the whole day. This is a great office everyday scent. The extreme edp version in my opinion has fixed it's problems.
Aaron nailed it yet again. It is nice, and therein lies the problem. Nice is a word used to describe something nondescript. Hopefully the new Extreme version will gravitate it beyond the realms of blandness.
I’ve bought this and used it all winter. It’s not “strong” as in projection but it’s strong from all the raw materials. The dry down and staying power is incredible. You smell the quality of the material. It’s received so well that people asked me what it is and bought it. And women always complemented me after getting close. Big winner for me
This is why I like ATH, 100% honest review, and i compleatly agree with what you just said, I bought it, and was really disappointed, hardly use it, because i can hardly smell it, even with 15/16 sprays.
I agree....a great skin scent, which my partner loves, precisely because its understated. I adore a strong scent with a decent silage that states, ‘this is a part of my personality’ … however as a nurse, I can’t wear scents to work. My partner is allergic too a lot of things, so although, I wear my perfume for my own pleasure, I tamp down my enthusiasm for liberally spraying my fragrances too strongly, so I don’t knock others out with my oud lol Therefore, there is a niche for elegant, weaker, fragrances, for certain people. I think we need a range of fragrances for different people & purposes.
We have a similar situation. I’m obsessed with scents while my partner and work don’t allow due to pt care / preference. I will slip one under my shirt and no one notices. Wish I could do more
Love your reviews mate, gets super deep into a fragrance which is nuts….but very entertaining to watch. I really enjoy the Givenchy Gentleman fragrances, may favourite is EDT Intense and Reserve Prive.
I sniffed it recently for second time actually and it's not bad fragrance but for example Gentleman Reserve Prive is just miles away Better ❣️ Also Cedrat Boise is performing on me amazingly 😊 They going to release Society Parfume this year so let's see what's gonna happen...😉
Tried this in the store a few times and had the same feeling as you. I love the gentleman fragrances, inoffensive iris fragrances done well. This one was very inoffensive, sweet, with nothing to “wow” you. Kind of a safe release imo
I tried it in store on test strip and initially thought it was too sweet, but when I got home and smelled the test strip, the floral note was very prominent (I love the smell of narcissus flowers). Anyway I’ve now purchased a bottle at discount, and it’s basically a very nice modern day perfume, a bit aromatic, a bit floral, but overall it’s a creamy/powdery sweetish vanilla scent, it’s not a vetiver scent (which is strange seen as there is so much vetiver in it). I like it, it smells really nice. Ps I do get great projection off it.
👉🏻 3 Things: 1. Smells similar to Paco's Phantom but better. 2. It is indeed light. People online classify as night-out fragrance but it's a light office scent, mass appealing. 3. They do indeed have an Extreme version coming up in 2024, expecting it to be darker evening counterpart
Modest but good projection with great longevity, perfect for someone over 30 wanting a classy inoffensive mature signature scent. I’m surprised Aaron didn’t give it an 8, it performs above average I’d say and smells amazing.
This is one of my favorites. The cardamom, sage, palo santo, and vanilla are blended in a beautiful way. Also, this lasts all day for me. No performance issues. Good scents don’t all have to be beast projectors or jacked up with oud. Projection with this is right down the middle IMHO. Give it a few wears and enjoy. 💯
I agree with everything he says but honestly I liked the initial spray. Now what I didn't like was the dry down. It changed completely and got a lot more sweeter, medicinal and fruity. It smelled like a Cantaloupy medicine.
You should review Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Eau De Parfum. You reviewed the Parfum flanker, which is more fresh citrus. The EDP is a mens spicy floral with rose, chili pepper, balsamic notes, etc. it has citrus and salty notes so it's still fresh and can be worn in the summer. A signature scent for someone that likes that kinda stuff, but not everyone will like it.
Hey Aaron have you smelled any of masque milano's line? It's a niche house i think you might really enjoy . The fragrances are really well put together, and the little bottles they come in are just lovely
I love the way this smells unfortunately I had the same experience. it did not project or last on my skin I used the entire 2ml sample and it was gone in 10 min. I love the Gentleman line so I was sad that this was my experience. Jealous to those it works for because the scent itself was beautiful.
Hi Aaron, could you review some of the Goldfields & Banks fragrances, please? Perhaps Bohemian Lime, Pacific Rock Moss or Purple Suede for examples. Australia company. So they do some good freshies or more high heat/tropical fragrances.
The elegance gives private society not general public society. I think that's where the marketing is spot on with this on, down to the placard on the bottle. I love the scent but chose not to keep it because it's too mild even for me. I could hardly smell it a couple of hours later. I agree with it not being pushed out enough.
I loved it when I tried it at duty free on a strip with many other fragrances, so I bought it as I was in hurry to leave, when I applied it later on skin i was disappointed as it lasted less than an hour on my skin. So sold it and got me a backup of gentleman boisée which for me is the best in the line of gentlemen series and it last for 6-7 hours on me.
This is my scent of the year I am addicted to this. I wish it was a little stronger and lasted longer. But I find this so delicious. Can you recommend something a bit more affordable? Similar? Women love this on me and ask for what I'm wearing.

I was fine with you getting to the mile of purple prose on the box and saying "I'm not reading this nonsense." I liked Society but it doesn't really fit in the Gentlemen line and it's overpriced. YSL did the same thing with MYslf.
While I love Gentleman Reserve Privé as well as Boisée, I have a sample of Society and it's a big no for me. I don't think of it as light and airy. I don't think it's the vetiver. Have plenty of that in other stuff and no issues. I guess it's the narcissus, but to me it is over the top. Might be due to the sample having a better atomizer. Might be my skin. But ah well, made it easy to vote with the wallet.
I bought 100ml retail mid 2023 instead of reserve privee, which I was originally intending to buy. It’s really nice, but I won’t buy again. I liked it, got a few compliments and the bottle is class. But it’s not a game changer nor a signature scent imo. Very nice but not one I’d buy again.
I love this perfume so much ever since I first tried it. It kept on coming back to me and decided to buy it. Surprisingly, it performed very well on me, where I live in a tropical climate.
To me this was a disappointement, like the new Code from Armani, nothing to stand out, just meh. And about french perfumery, you can't compare it to La nuit de l'homme by YSL or something from Guerlain.
Good for subtle environments and office environments but not for me way to light and not worth my money, haven’t been to impressed with stuff that’s come out from Givenchy, don’t find it lasts long on me or projects as loudly as I’d like it.. Hard Candy Elixir on the other hand.. now that’s an attention grabber!👀

Performance could be better but it's the no.1 2023 release for me. Beautiful & versatile. Can't wait to see what the Extreme will be like!

I like it quite a lot, but I'm a fan of vetiver. As for performance goes, that's what Carbon's for, and it blends well with 2 sprays.

I've tried this once, and it reminded me of a more casual Dior Homme Intense for those who don't quite vibe the Dior.

I wear this as a work scent and it’s a proper beast off my skin. I get a full work day from 5 sprays.
This is a 21st Century cologne. Society is sophisticated and vibrant
I personally prefer Givenchy Gentleman EDP over this.

Best atomiser I have is on Jimmy Choo Man Ice. 🧊 it’s like a fire hose. Better than Dior which generally have decent pressurised atomisers.
I do wear this for the office. It is very French. It is different for Givenchy.

To me this was a disappointement, like the new Code from Armani, nothing to stand out, just meh. And about french perfumery, you can't compare it to La nuit de l'homme by YSL or something from Guerlain.
I love the smell, but it's too light... the whole Gentleman line.
I cannot smell this fragrance at all. It smells like a cabinet or a closet to me.
I blind bought this last year and I’m not a fan. I find it as a cloying annoyance.
Good for subtle environments and office environments but not for me way to light and not worth my money, haven’t been to impressed with stuff that’s come out from Givenchy, don’t find it lasts long on me or projects as loudly as I’d like it..
Hard Candy Elixir on the other hand.. now that’s an attention grabber!👀
