    Hi there,
    Excellent video.
    I have a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was getting electronic stability control on, couldnt engage low gear, all sorts of things.
    I got a new TCCM via Amazon, replaced it with a friend in 5 minutes and voila !!....all iss back to normal. everthing works, coudlnt be happier !, not a penny wasted in labor and who knows what they could have charged me for the part.
    Juat wanted to share my experience, no programming no nothing, just take out the old TCCM and placed a new one, and that was all I did.
    Regards and thanks

    I can’t thank you enough. I had my Service 4WD and service electronic stable control light on with the clunking noise at the start. I took it to the dealership, and they said the lights were due to internal failure of the Transfer case and the only way to resolve this is to replace the transfer case, which will cost me $4980.53, including parts and labor. I searched TH-cam for the issue; your video was the first search result. I ordered the Transfer case module from Amazon for $128 and replaced it as you explained, and the issue was fixed. Thank you again for saving me $$$$.

      @abrahamgonzalezdelgado1717 actually it didn't work. The two different replacement parts made it worse (074AA part number). It actually works better with my original "bad" part. Car runs fine, it only occasionally gives me the "Service 4wd" indicator. The odd part is I know exactly when and where it's going to trigger. There are a couple small hills near home that trigger it. I can literally point my finger when it's about to go off. Like clockwork. I don't know what to make of it.

    • @gbcautoworks
      @gbcautoworks  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Did you try resetting the fault codes? You could have a bad TCM.
      Aso make sure your steering angle is correct when you check through the dash. Turn steering wheel from left to right and watch that it changes. Also, check for any broken wires on your speed sensors at each wheel.( this is common on the rears, cables rubbing through). Also, If you have an OBD reader you can check the rotation speed of each wheel while you drive. If there is any deviation in speed at one of the sensors change it as it's not picking up the speed correctly and thinks your car is losing traction constantly. Hope that helps and gives you something to check. 👍

      I see so many people with this issue on the forums and they change fluids, change transfer cases, pay dealerships thousands of dollars for them to play the guessing game.

      If the noise is coming from underneath the car, it's usually the TCM or your TCM motor. I would check for any damaged wires, then I would try resetting it through the obd port. If that doesn't work, try a TCM module.

      Hey mate, have you tried the easiest things first, battery power when the car is running , also any blown fuses, and checked for any broken wires around the wheels, at the module and at the transfer case motor. The cheapest option is the transfer case control module. Do you know anyone who could let you swap it out to see if it cures your issue?

      What happens if you clear your codes? Does it come back straight away or after a few days? Error code indicates transfer case position sensor. Have you checked the connector plug and wiring at the sensor? Could be an issue there, the sensor itself or possibly at the module.

      I would unplug the actuator first. See if it makes a difference. If not ,pull out the actuator and drive it a short distance and see if that helps with how it drives. I think it sounds like it's seizing up, hence why you have an overheating fault coming up.
      Also, pull out some of the diff fluid and check that too, make sure it's not all burnt and black in colour, which would indicate it needs changing.
