This dam was in tamilnadu(India).pride of Tamil(India).

This dam splits the water into 4 different parts for irrigation in the delta region. The main dam is at Mettur about 250 kms upstream. This dam regulates the flow in a measured manner. Thanks to the early cholas and the British for renovation and modernization.
