hi EasylifeEs just so you know the Adidas RC 5 didnt took long. It got scratch on the side so its torn now. lol. I just did 80 miles give and take on them and its squeezing my toe on the right foot and its blacked now lol. I really hope the new adidas running line of and the affordble shoes are durable so I can depend on them
@@Munchkinz11 Thanks for sharing your genuine experience with those adidas RC 5's. At a first glance, I can tell that those RC's they might not be durable. Because: thin upper, thin partial outsole and much lighter in general that these "adidas Response"... That is why I try to ignore lightweight sneakers in general. I like them, but the compromises... are just too big for ME... Or maybe... I'm little bit too cheap... who knows ?!? : )
I feel that they will do better than others. That is my first impression with them. The upper is thick enough the outsole much better than most that I've seen this year... So I don't see a reason not to last. The toebox area felt correct for my feet that have a regular width (not narrow nor wide). About long runs... I believe for under 15km/9.32mi for every run they will do OK. Over that range maybe something with bigger stack and more plush foam to protect better the joints... but that is something very personal I suppose. Everyone know his/her's needs and they should try them for 5-10 minutes straight indoors, before taking them out for a first run... That will be my advice with all the footwear in general. If 10 minutes later you haven't notice any weird pressure point somewhere... for me they had past the initial test. I think that at least 90% of the people will be happy with these ones. The rest of it are more experienced or they simply don't find a correct fit in them...
Thank you for watching my video! I'm trying to present everything from a real POV. I mean, if I was looking for a new pair for myself right now and looking to expose all the Pros and Cons from my perspective.
I can't promise you that going +0.5 size bigger will solve your problem... usually Adidas are slightly narrow-regular fit in comparison with other brands... so... keep that in mind before buying them. Maybe it will work but I can't guarantee... For wide feet I always recommend NB because they have this option in most of the models that they have. BTW I don't recommend them for walking because of the angle that it has on the back of the heel. For walking they are called "Sportwear" in Adidas and they are few options there. For example : "Run 72" or "SL 72 RS", although I haven't seen Wide option in these models (at least here in Spain).
Does this pair have a firm midsole like on nike quest 3 if u try to press it on purpose it wont squeeze at all but what bout this one do these come with the same midsole as nike quest 3?
I haven't try it those Quest 3's, yet these Response are better than most I try it in the same price range (not to mention that the stack also was a nice surprise). Probably only really very few will beat this ones considering how good they are.
They are regular fit but for your size really NO idea. I don't know, go to a dedicated running sneakers store and try asking if they can allow you to measure your feet with a Brannock device. Usually they are very helpful (at least here in Spain).
Thanks! Response are similar with Duramo SL with better outsoles but in cushioning slightly firmer than Duramo SL. Response still my choice. Galaxy 7 are inferior than all mentioned.
got for 32 usd in india and currently i use adidas questar 1 , how it will be at this price and over questar 1, the questar was very good cushion is this having a vast difference?
I don't remember anymore how was the cushion in Questar 1 because I was trying them in a store for few seconds. I wasn't impress back then. I even though that I should avoid them in the future. Yet Questar 2 was a much better improved version that actually worth buying. About this Response are good but not as good in cushion asa Questar 2, so I'm not sure how you will like them. Best thing (if you can) is to try them before in a physical store or lower down your expectations before trying them and maybe they aren't too bad. This way you will know if you want them or not.
Hi there, Considering the weight, the terrain and the purpose probably this Adidas Response is the best solution because: the outsole has firmnes but without losing in comfort do to "the decent amount of midsole stack" that keeps the cushioning effect, also the full rubber outsole that is wide enough and helps with the stability and longevity especially in that tartan track, which can be a serious problem for every sneaker outsoles after some weeks of use. If the width (that is roomy enough for regular width feet) is not an issue for you, I don't see any real problems really. Questar and Arishi having softer foams... will end up ageing prematurely... so I can't recommend them. Not to mention that have partial rubber outsoles. To this "Adidas Response" the only changes that I will like to see in the future (that will never happen most likely) are: 1. +2-3mm more on those full rubber outsoles, 2. +1cm wider tongue (I have mid-high arch) 3. Better lining fabric, that is ordinary right now (maybe same with the one seen in Ep135 that in the past 2 years had become for me the best in running sneakers IMO, not only in NB I've seen it... Adidas UB Light COLD.RDY has it too now, Ep139) I hope this answer helps you!
Hi there, About RC 5's... I never tried them so I will hold my opinion till I have the chance. But about "Response Super"... I'm not sure why not just "Response" that are more affordable, better outsoles and better cushioning too. Just my opinion...
Yesterday I went to the store and it turned out that I did not have a size for these shoes, there is a response super and response super 2.0, which one do you think is better? or there is another series that you can recommend to run 5-10km every day
Although I never tried those Super 2.0, I will probably go with the Response Super. Alternative try Adidas Questar 2 (Ep140), they have better cushion than Response and almost as good outsoles. Also breathable, well made overall in comparison with the majority of today's running sneakers that I see.
@@ibrahandsome_pacaroradekjae UB22 is a BAD joke, I don't recommend it at all! Has serious problems with the comfort (the cage was digging into my insteap, really awful, same were UB21 with different issues) and also very small amount of cushion. Because the midsole lacks internal stack. What you see on the exterior is NOT what you get! Ultraboost Light were seriously better made and also the NEW Ultraboost 5 from this year (check my Shorts for the last one).
As I replied in your previous comment on RC's episode, the Response is a superior sneaker in every possible way. The only thing in common, is that both are Adidas models, but that's it...
Love your reviews. I hope you can solve my dilemma. I am stuck choosing between the Response or Galaxy 6. Currently I use the Puma Cell Fraction Fade and I love the pair and also love quite a bit of cushioning and paddding inside the shoe. Can you suggest which one should I go for?
Hi there, Thank you for your appreciation! About Adidas Response vs Galaxy 6. There is NO contest, really (in this case). The level of cushioning of Galaxy 6 doesn't get close to the one from Response simply because the stack is too different. Response has quite a bit more (front & back) and we can feel it instantly. It might not be plush as in New Balance Fresh Foam or Nike Zoom, but because of the stack they can still offer a decent amount of cushioning under the feet. They are not perfect by no means, but for the price they are "a nice rarity" by today industry's standards. Adidas Response were a pair of sneakers that I honestly was considering to keep while filming. Because 90% of them I don't even contemplate to keep them thinking that they don't really worth the money. Maybe at some point with "the right discount" I might get a pair for myself, will see. Normally the problem for me is the space... how much of that I want to sacrifice in my home only for my footwear. :)
Thanks. As you've seen in the beginning and the end of this episode, those are coming next (work in progress right now). So, is just a matter of time till that episode will be released.
Although I haven't tried the model that you named (and only checked from pictures and videos found online, visual details etc), I'm pretty sure that Response has more stack and little bit better cushion because of the EVA foam based midsole, that I find it more bouncy than I expected to be for the price that they have. But I can't be sure 100% without trying those...
