I just got mine 2 weeks ago from Costco. Follow the instructions and pour water for 12 hard boiled eggs. I find that there’s a brown puddle of water next to it after it finishes and it chimes, do I have a defective unit?

How many eggs can you make with the omelette piece?
With the omelette piece, you can make either 7 mini omelettes or 1 larger frittata. Enjoy your cooking!
can it cook duck eggs?
Yes, you can do duck eggs.
Bear in mind that due to the higher protein content in duck eggs, when hard boiling them, they can become rubbery in texture.
Poached duck eggs work well in the egg cooker!

Does it automatically turn off once the eggs are done cooking?
Once the eggs are done cooking, the Egg Cooker will chime to alert you. Simply switch it off and remove the eggs immediately to prevent overcooking.
It doesn’t turn off automatically and I find it leaves a puddle of water next to it. Not completely sure where it is coming from. Thinking about returning mine. I just got it from Costco 2 weeks ago.
Pretty useless for a see it in action video more content on the piping bag than the actual device
