This is likely why Yoda is on Dagobah, probably hiding. Also, remember Governor Tarkin’s comment in the first movie as he enters the meeting room. The Emperor has dissolved the Senate permanently. The last remnants of the Old Republic have been swept away. The last remnants of a democratic, free people have been destroyed.
I came in late to make a long comment on your Episode IV video, but it's been less than an hour since Episode V dropped on YT. So... Allow me to first say this: Some of the fanbase is quite toxic, so be ready for negative comments regarding not you, but something you may find enjoyable. I am not like that. I think you should watch it all and make up your own minds. Some will tell you to watch them in a specific order, I will only offer advice and not judge you for making your own decisions. I recommend finishing this Original Trilogy, then start "at the beginning" and go in Chronological Order from there, as it makes the most sense from a storytelling point. Even though Lucas only made six movies, and most of the Clone Wars animated series, while everything else is from the Disney era.... don't overlook any of it. Clone Wars can be daunting to get through (it's 7 seasons), trust me, it's worth it. It gives a lot more weight to Episode III. Only caveat to it, is that the final 4 episodes run concurrent to Episode III, so watch the movie BEFORE those 4 episodes (because, spoilers). There is also the need to know how much time has passed between movies/series. Episode IV is considered "point zero". What came before that is referred to as BBY: Before the Battle of Yavin (destruction of the Death Star), and events after are referred to as ABY: After the Battle of Yavin. But the important thing to note here, is that Yoda, by being the way he was to Luke at first, was testing him. 12:47 - Easily miss-able detail: When the Emperor tells Vader about "The son of Skywalker", Vader had already known about him (his reply says this, "He's just a boy"). Prior to the events of this movie, Vader had hired a bounty hunter to find out who the pilot was who destroyed the Death Star. That bounty hunter (yes, it was Boba Fett) was only able to learn the pilot's last name, "Skywalker". Upon learning this, Vader became obsessed with finding him. This was revealed in "other media", rather than the movies.... but it is still canon information. 14:50 - The cave that Yoda sent Luke into is a Dark Side nexus point. It has helped keep Yoda hidden from the Emperor and Vader for years. Yes, that was a Force vision, but also a test. Yoda told Luke he would not need his weapons, but Luke chose to take them with him anyway. But, also "only what you take with you" referred to Luke's own fears and insecurities (which he has not conquered yet), which is what the cave preyed on him with. Had he left his weapons behind, the vision would have been different. 18:30 - Those are called "Ugnaughts". Some of the most technically skilled laborers out there, believe it or not. You'll see them again, eventually. 18:50 - Basically, they strapped him down and tazed the shit out of him. This, of course, to make Luke feel his pain through The Force, and lure him to Bespin (the name of that planet). 19:46 - Fun fact: Harrison Ford was scripted to say, "I love you, too." but when filming it, the line kept coming out horrible (according to several sources, they tried filming it nearly 100 times). So, Irvin Kirshner (the director) told him to just say whatever felt natural... and we get another iconic line, "I know." Ford later revealed that it sounded like something Han Solo would say, which is why it worked. 21:40 - Pay very close attention to this duel. Vader is looking to see how much Luke knows, and how well he's been trained. Also, Vader doesn't know that Obi-Wan learned how to become a Force ghost, nor that it was even possible. 22:10 - That depends on your individual accent. It doesn't matter about technology because SW trailblazed for what other movies have followed for their cgi waste. CGI is such a junk technology. Star Wars made what is an awesome stage play can be. Costumes, props etc.... CGI can be left in the burn pile. People will say what they what they feel about episodes 1,2 and 3 but George Lucas HAD to tell us the rest of the story. Like it or hate it.
